That is NOT a Shockwave experiment... Twincast was the rebuilt Blaster from Transformers Headmasters after he and Soundwave killed each other in a duel. Blaster was rebuilt into Twincast and Soundwave was rebuilt into Soundblaster.
In the original story from Headmasters Twincast and Sound Wave got blown up so only their heads remained. The Headmasters from planet Master were able to build new bodies for them and with those new bodies came with the new names.
The colours is kinda growing on me as it's like a sporty theme you see on Adidas, Puma or Reebok etc! Granted I can easily buy Blaster for £15 over here in the UK!
Here's hoping we get a Gen Selects (or whatever they're calling it now) four pack of cassettes, featuring Eject, Rewind, Ramhorn and Steeljaw. Even better would be them remolded in solid plastic.

In The Headmasters anime (part of the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity), Twincast was a rebuilt Blaster rather than a failed clone of Blaster, due to Blaster and Soundwave having a battle that costed their lives, causing Soundwave to be rebuilt into Soundblaster and Blaster be rebuilt into Twincast. However, he is a good figure despite his flaws.

Twincast look amazing. I never knew that Shockwave cloning this robot 🤖 that supposed to be as Decepticon, however, unfortunately Twincast become as Autobot similar to his original counterpart, Blaster. I love the reverse transformation because this segment does help me to remember to transform my Transformers figure turn into robot mode and alt mode 😁. For Rewind, i love Rewind in Shattered Glass version. Yeah, Hasbro and Takara Tomy should be give us Steeljaw and Ramhorn 🦏, not give us another Rewind 😅. I still choose Blaster because each area on Blaster it's always painting 🎨🖌️ compared to Twincast some area is not painting, so terrible. However, i try my best to pick up this clone in near future rather than later, great video, PrimevsPrime 🤗.

Twin cast is actually a rebuilt version of blaster after his death in the Japanese version of the G1 cartoon. Soundwave also dies in their final battle to be rebuilt into Sound Blaster. I’ll be perfectly honest I much prefer Sound Blaster being a different character, separate from Soundwave. I personally like to say that Twincaster is the brother of Blaster who looks like him but has a slightly different personality. Xx

Twincast is the regenerated/repaired Blaster after his final battle with Soundwave in the Japanese Headmasters. That ended in a stalemate. Soundwave became Soundblaster, and again, Blaster became Twincast.
The poses you can make are amazing, no matter how much the transformers community complains about articulation we can still, (to an extent) get some pretty incredible poses out of them that far differentiates them from regular toys. Great review as always PvP!!!

I’m not gonna pick this up even though it may look a bit better than blaster because I don’t really want to buy another voyager that’s just a repaint and minor remold but maybe if it’s on sale
I've already got Blaster and love him. He's a fantastic figure. I'm not a fan of recolors (except for seekers) unless I like the character, and I have no such connection to Twincast. I do like the headsculpt, with the smirk and slight expression in the eyes. I'll pass on him though. I, like PvP and others, really do hope they release a new Soundwave. I'm not paying for that Netflix version and we deserve plastic that won't discolor so badly.
Absolutely adore this mold for Blaster in G1 accurate it is. Missed the Kingdom release but ordered the Legacy as it's about as good an update as Blaster has ever gotten. Twincast is a really nice repaint though I know next to nothing about the Headmasters timeline. Definitely would get on a deep discount but for now I'm good with the solitary Blaster.
In Japanese headmaster series twincast is the reborn version of blaster after his legendary battle with soundwave. Blaster here like optimus prime had suffered heavy injuries, but in this case soundwave is blown up in pieces.
I'll be picking this up as I have a big Headmaster shelf with Soundblaster on italready, but I think some fans would be upset if they gated access to his other cassettes behind buying an obscure redeco of Blaster that they would otherwise pass on. His other cassettes are probably better reserved for core class releases.
Shame he cant hold 2 cassettes like the original. Also would have been awesome if theyd given us steeljaw with the special sticker that revealed skorpinoks weak spot
…Rewind isn’t red because Rewind is black. Besides, SG Rewind is already red. No point having two red cassettes. And he’s the main choice for a repaint of Eject. He’s a main beloved character in IDW’s MTMTE. Not all toys can have equal amounts of remolding. New molds will come later.

I don't get why they feel the need to recontextualize Soundblaster and Twincast as clones rather than the rebuilt forms of Soundwave and Blaster, what's to gain from that?
The only complaint I have is that his gun isn't red. And as far as the chest possibly holding two cassettes, the engineering would've been a nightmare, I'm betting.
I just wish there's going to be SS86 leader class blaster and soundwave with having all their cassettes Or they could just sell core class blaster's cassettes like soundwave's
Why would they have cast Rewind in "smokey red"? Rewind is black. If anything I wish they'd have cast Rewind and Eject in solid black and blue respectively.

my rewind’s joints cracked n broke like 2 months after i got blaster, so both his arms just fall off at slight touch. I love clear plastic!!!!

If they had to make up an evo fusion gimmick; I think having rewind fit in the chest compartment would of made a more plausible one

Rewind is supposed to be colored black. That a lot like his g1 which I love. The only reason I bought twincast is to have rewind for my blaster.
