The scratches are what makes this figure look accurate. Hasbro asks the delivery people to scratch it on purpose to make it look more accurate.

My copy of the figure also has some weird texturing as well... It's not super visible unless you get up REAALLYYY close so I think it's fine.

Instead of storing the arm as his robot genital u can actually store is in his backpack compartment. There should be a small space where optimus’ head goes in that back piece. U can use that space to store his arm by placing the blue hand upwards filling that space. The pegs on his arm can then attach on his back. Press down the backpack and tada problem solved.
I love the Generations version, and other than the accessories and Matrix of Leadership, don’t exactly see this one as the superior version, especially considering that this version is missing the giant Autobot emblem engraving on the back (which the Generations one has)
Don’t you have to un-transform the back kibble to see the autobot symbol? And I do think the more buff and broad shouldered look of the ss version is more accurate to the game model (Although I do think the generations deluxe looks cooler and is better)

I'm looking at taking him apart and painting him, like i did my deluxe. But damn Hasbro, you clearly went to war with screws and decided pins were the new way to go. Ugh. A lot more work and risk of tearing it up taking pins out.

The closed boxed packaging on none big ticket items is an utter disaster.
TF did okay with the open cardboard none-window packaging designs because you can still see the product but ML and SW BS? QC and toy-swapping bullshit.

How do you make the arm port tighter?
When i got mine, it was really scratched up i still like how accurate the scratches are to the game.
My Optimus has two left bicep/elbows along with all the scratches you mentioned on the legs/back of the truck. I wish the gun had a 5mm peg for holding the gun instead of it only being viable via detaching the arm. Oh and that arm storage sucks. Otherwise, it's a good figure.
Bro same because I ended up adding a little bit of super glue to the gap in his arm to make his arm tighter only because it was loose and would fall off when using him and just taking off the arm to have the gun in there looks cool but I don’t know what to do with his arm
Here's hoping that all of these still have the Matrix in his chest when I go to buy one... might mod that gun, I don't like the peg feature. Otherwise, it's pretty cool!

His arm stores like that probably so that when somebody tries to fist him, not only is it denied, but also so he becomes the the one who fists.

The visible hands in vehicle mode cuz of the massive gaping hole is severely disappointing. I was hyped for this figure too. I think I'll end up just waiting for a 3rd party KO of this to fix it

Personal preference I still really like the Earthrise mold for Optimus but this is definitely an iconic likeness.
Earthrise is the best Optimus to date, based upon his G1 self, while the next best one I would say is Legacy G2 OP, at least for me until I get a hold of this WFC voyager, its what they should of used for the WFC trilogy as his Cybertron form, that figure looks like he already been to Earth and come back and fought a bunch of fearsome battles that required replacement parts to be installed and he no longer needs to blend in with his suroundings!

I saw somewhere that the scratches have something to do with the 3d printer they used to make the initial mold, and I think that when they scanned in the one they were going with, the 3d mold was already scratched
3D printing is used for the prototype model, they don’t scan that and they don’t use a 3D printed base, they likely didn’t put enough plastic into the injection mold

Oh no! The hands are showing in truck mode! That means I can't display my figure backwards, facing the wall! And not to mention the gun! I can't display Prime in robot mode now! I wanted him to be showing off the bottom of his blaster! Not in some cool action pose! I guess I'll pass on this garbage.
Of this figure I save only the Matrix of Leadership, and, maybe, the axe.

@@rayvenkman2087 Sorry, I'm not familar with TF toys that much, all I remember is that a friend of mine gifted me a version of WFC Optimus Prime that has its gun folding as part of its transformation and that was way better than this SS.
