I love seeing the mushroom farms. We had an AMAZING mushroom year in SW Montana this past year. The forest fires the previous year, then near daily rain in the spring created the absolute best morel hunting my family has ever seen. Luckily, we had just gotten our freeze dryer so were able to put a bunch away for long term keeping. And they come back just like fresh when rehydrated. There were also tons of DELICIOUS meadow & horse mushrooms out in the sagebrush prairie around my land. More than I've ever seen. They're agaricus, close cousins to the agaricus bisporus (button mushrooms) in the grocery store. I was able to spore some & inoculate the soil in my tomato & pepper hothouse & they continued to pop up all the way to October. I left them all to spore in the soil. I'm excited to see how well they do next summer. I also kept spore cards so I can play around with them in other spots on the land. Mushrooms are fun!

I’m from Oregon. We just opened up a shop on burnside in Portland and they are selling the good mushrooms there in the store. Good things are coming

I'm really glad it was mentioned that indigenous people have been practicing with mushrooms and that it's a problem that other people can practice with mushrooms but many of indigenous people won't be able to despite some people doing this for hundreds or even thousands of years. Great video!

hello from denver. there are now a few places where i can get live culture syringes for my own grows.
We have a super conservative part of our county in a town called Grand lake. They hold a right wing extremist gathering every year and call it constitution week. I can't wait to go there and gift buckets of cubes

I've recently gotten interested in growing mushrooms after trying it with one of those beginner pearl oyster grow bags. It stayed in the box, so the just grew out of the "X" I cut in the bag in a window of the box. If the bag is out and all surfaces are exposed to light, will they grow all over/in the bag?
4:40 you can add a plugin or get Davinci Resolve and cut that background noise out with ease.. Love the channel.. Keep it up..

All mushrooms should be legalized. I don't know why it should be illegal for me to possess or grow Psilocybe cubensis, and yet it's perfectly legal for there to be Amanita phalloides or Amanita bisporigera growing wild in my garden.
As someone who has been in the underground cannabis and mushroom world for a long time, I recognize the need to reduce/eliminate the legal penalties faced by individuals who are swallowed up by the machines of prohibition; however, on the other hand I recognize the consequences of handing the keys to the business class. These subcultures have flourished (and impacted) under the radar for decades... in fact, at this point, it’s a multigenerational phenomenon. And that is to say nothing of the cultures for whom this represents something closely linked to their indigeneity. As we saw with cannabis, throwing mushrooms to those who have deep pockets will create a situation wherein established cottage industries, which represent an important income source for many rural and urban communities, will be cut off at the knees and subsumed by the wealthy. This, in turn, leads to an upward transfer and concentration of wealth. Legalization efforts often recruit well-meaning people to act as the lobbying arm for the business sector which takes market expansion as its primary goal. That’s something we should all be concerned about.
It was odd walking into a store and buying a psilocybin grow kit yesterday. Almost like walking in to the first medicinal dispensary back in the day.

Decriminalized, decriminalization, oh and decriminalization. It is not legalized. There’s a major difference. Additionally, it allows the private cooperations in charge of everything to at anytime remove anything from the bill. So if at any point they decide no more home grows, no more individual possession, etc., they can, at any time, without any need for approval

Artificial light is perfectly adequate. Look for 5000k led light fixtures, highest efficiency around 118 lumens per watt. Generally 12 hours on, 12 off per day.
Perhaps the reason why you can't sell retail is they decided that to follow current research. The FDA trials and research that are based on using guides and calls out the importance of these guides when using psychedelics. Recreational use in the 60s led to a big backlash in mainstream America and government. Personally I think guides are important and at least from what I read in Peter McCoy's book were integral to the experience/traditions of cultures that used them. Yes/no?
122 bans the retail and commercial sale OUTSIDE OF LICENSED FACILITIES. Which means you can go to a licensed facility.

Any updates to the Advisory Boards recommendations that were due back in September?
In Canada I believe it’s legal to eat them however it’s illegal to sell them.
I could find them in grass fields everywhere when I was a teen.
I like to wash wild mushroom chunks in egg before tossing with flour in a bowl then fried till almost burned and crisp on the outside and moist inside. Also, psychedelic mushrooms are easily cultivated at home by a consumer. Unlike marijuana which takes more space and equipment. So the old pf tech jar method of mushroom cultivation is all a stoner needs instead of going out and spending a fortune at a psychedelic mushroom dispensary
Psychedelic music, you'll probably run into psytrance which has a lot of different sub genres but this plant wave $300 device has me intrigued. I urge anyone making plant wave based tracks to label it plant wave or mushroom wave so we don't get the psytrance/psywave genres blurred.

Idk if this is naive but I can easily imagine stores bypassing not being able to 'sell' mushrooms by simply selling other products like t-shirts, growing kits, etc. and then optionally 'gifting' a few grams of mushrooms per purchase.

Exactly. Government legalization allows them to step in and ruins everything, it should be like growing tomatoes. Weed is cheaper in my state bordering a legal state than it is in the state where it’s legal. Fuck the government.
