  • Pasta is one of my favorite foods and there are so many different types of pasta. From spaghetti and ravioli to macaroni and rigatoni. Did you know that each one has a different etiquette for how to eat it?
In this video, I go through the different ways to eat 4 popular pasta types if you are in a formal setting.

The music had me feeling good even about all my past(a) mistakes eating various pasta dishes. lol. I was eating the tough, sloppy way The Sopranos were doing. How is the proper handling of garlic bread with the dish? I now know about capuchino before 11 am, too, thank you. What about the proper times to imbibe espresso/ Turkish coffees and brandys?

Hi, how to you pause the fork when you are only using a fork?
What’s the etiquette for eating salad in a bowl with only fork and fork and knife? Thank you! I love your videos!

      Hello! Great questions!
If you’re pausing, and you only have a fork, just place the fork in the resting position, as if there were a knife, as well. There shouldn’t be many times when you’re not given both. However, if you are dining with only a fork, just treated as if you had both utensils.
If you’re eating salad in a bowl and you have both, a knife, and a fort, use the knife to help fold lettuce onto your fork, but if that’s feels too pretentious in a very informal circumstance, and the lettuce is in large, non-bite-size pieces, then go ahead and cut the lettuce with the knife. Sometimes there are cucumbers or other vegetables in the salad that need to be cut, so you should knife for that as well.
Bottom line is to enjoy the salad, and remember, if Dining at the highest circles, you fold lettuce, you don’t cut it, however, if you’re with family and friends in a casual situation, and the lettuce is too darn big, then go cut it with the knife!
Sending you best wishes for a lovely day! 💕💕💕🥗🍴

Putting the fork through the holes of pasta.. lol.. people are silly! They’re overthinking it. You’ll be there all day trying to get your fork in the holes. Lol

Am I wrong to say that all pastas are the same, just shaped differently. Technically you can use meatball sauce with bowtie pasta rather than spaghetti? Seriously, I can’t taste a distinction with any of the pasta types.

      Hello, Jupe!💕
Lovely to hear from you, I hope you’ve been well!
Yes, you’re right, awesome does taste the same, if it’s made with the same flour, providing there’s no other ingredients, like spinach or tomatoes, etc. etc.
It’s the shape that demands a different way of etiquette when eating. Bottom line, the best rule of thumb to remember is never cut long pasta. Do you remember that you will be great no matter where you’re dining, even at the highest circles!
Sending you warmest and very best wishes for a lovely day!

Countessa Ludmilya Cocipplione always wore colander on her head,at a jaunty angle,to denote noble breeding of course, then she masticated like a feral oranutang chewing a turnip,it was quite off-putting for her guests as she talked at the same time, imagine a bulldog chewing gum, my great aunt Lady Thittipool Patarpooon described it as disconcerting, phew ! It's between them it is !
