Great run! I'm finding the increased ranged skill points are helping keep me in sniper training for a lot of fights with movement(menagerie as an example) so I sacrifice the arcane points to gain the 6 yards of range. The spec is far from dead and people need to stop looking at log rankings as gospel :)
For electro if you wanna know a high parsing strat: Put all ranges on the east & west wall, have the tank & melee tank him in the middle. Have the tank & melee move the boss from east to west for the deadly debuff, have all the melee stand on the left leg & when one of them have the aoe debuff they move to the right leg so that every melee can keep pumping & that's it.

Steady is about 15 dps above expose weakness. Its even more amplified if you don't need to run heart of the lion and can use lone wolf. Just know when to use steady instead of delaying your auto. It also has the lowest priority - but still it adds more than expose weakness
That might be true with different gear prio, but the emphasis with my build and gear is high agility. All of my gear is based on max possible agility with heart of the lion buffing that by 21%, and EW thrives on that.
Yo Jake, I'm watching your rotation closely and it almost seems like your aimed shot is an instant cast? I'm not seeing the bar show the 3 second cast before it goes to 6 sec CD, could you pls explain?

Grats on the gun! If you have another hunter with heart of the lion id run master marksman or lone wolf. My pet does 13%-18% of my total dmg in gnomergan and lone wolf is a 30% buff. You will want to be in melee group with this build as trueshot aura is a great buff for the melee group
Have you simulated using a winged serpent instead of a cat? I see most of top parses using one in gnome (I guess due to lightning ingnoring armor), is it really better or no difference at all? thanks!

I'm so sad that BM doesn't even make it up at the top let alone marksman which always won dungeon dps meters. They need to fix hunter for ranged dps without having to use consumables. I'm enjoying melee now with BM spec but thanks for answering my curiosity. I have other toons addicting to wizard oils and mana food... Viper solves all the issues my melee hunter had - I'll take the hit on 10 percent dps loss for never lacking mana for faster swings - it works. lol
yo what's the weakaura you're using that shows raid debuffs on electrocutioner and button clicking cd for each raid member on last 2 bosses? really useful
BM is viable but will perform a bit lower on average. Benefits of BM is you can play Melee or ranged with the same spec, and can swap to BM runes for taunting. If you do end up playing BM you should normally use Chimera shot instead of BM rune for better dps however. Only swap to BM rune for fights where you're taunting with your pet.
I think that the stats on Blazewind are better because you only need 2 pieces of the set for the attack power (third piece is useless). So most hunters go Pants and Boots for the set pieces and run Blazewind on chest.
I don't use any of the set pieces for ranged personally. I find that i'm getting enough hit rating from helm, gloves, and belt and am able to get much more agility with Blazewind, triprunner, and brigade boots. 1 Agi = 2 RAP as well as crit rating. The other important factor here is Heart of the Lion. Since i'm using HotL almost exclusively with my group hotl gives me 21% more Agility (the second application double dips), however with raw RAP it gains zero benefit.

I started playing phase 2 release day, i got bow first bfd, but i have not missed a gnomergan raid since the first week. FINALLY 2 days ago got the gun.

Awesome, I gave up playing BM hunter, was boring and didn't feel like I could influence my damage more, gonna try this.

i missed the point on Dismantle, the proc works on the melee weapon without using it?
Ranged attacks can proc it yes

I don't one is much different than the other doe ranged hunter. I use 2.0 speed myself

Serpent does outperform cat on mech bosses, especially if you have a boomkin applying Dreamstate debuff which increases nature dmg taken

arcane shot is the worst shot in game efficience/dmg
It sucks for sure, but it scales with the spell power consumables were using and is better to use than aimed shot on the mech bosses.
