I’m just learning about add ons but am having a horrible time figuring out WEak auras and some of the add ons don’t work together (haven’t figured out chick ones) but I’m having lots of errors.
Maybe you can do a video of your full add on set up as well as how to import WA/macros into the game cause I’m lost lol.

You have access to Scorpid Sting aswell at 25, what is combined with Chimera Shot a really powerfull PVP ability
They don't even know they've been disarmed when they charge in to you. 10 seconds of a different "dead zone".
This is annoying, we need more stable slots.

Question, everywhere I look says Armor Piercer is the prebis 2H but I have Brutal War Axe of Agility which gives 11 Agi / 20.3 dps / 58 - 88 Damage / 3.60 Speed. Wouldnt that be better?
I’ve done some testing and had a guildie also do some testing. I find Kill Command, when using a cat with both claw (r4) and bite (r4) to be quite a bit of DPS. It’s better than sniper training, as most BFD fights require a lot of movement, so sniper training is never really on. Plus, it’s a piddly 10% crit chance that doesn’t affect auto shot.
My guildie tested a cat with bite/claw vs a wind serpent with bite/LB and he said the cat was better.
our legs rune is pretty weak tbh
the problem with KC is it's a 1 min CD - ATM you can expect around 7-8 dps w/ sniper training (good uptime) and Flanking strike.
this means u need around 400+ additional dmg (key word additional) provided from just kill command to make it viable.
so if u can min max 3 bites and always get over 400 dmg even w/ out criting then that's when it gets put into the conversation again. The biggest mistake someone could make is looking at 3 bites for example and they do 600 dmg and they think this is viable - No it has to be more than what you would do w/ out KC
i don't think it's there but if that's true let me know and i can test.
Will all this said - if you don't want to use flanking strike and you have insanely bad uptime on Sniper training it might help? but instead of doing a couple dps w/ KC it's more worth ur time to focus on getting better uptime on Sniper imo
@@Naturetvz again, the issue is vs BFD bosses. Except the turtle boss, there’s just too much movement to justify sniper training. If ST gave the original 30%, then probably. In open world, I don’t think it makes a difference. In regular dungeons, most fights are tank and spank, so, there, sure.
last time we tested KC it was 1-2 dps increase, let's say on the high end it's 4 dps w/ insane pet scaling etc.
that means u need about 40-50% uptime on sniper training to have it be affective, that's doable on every boss.@@IraInvictus
@@IraInvictus ST is super effective in every boss fight except logus jett if you have a good tank, and good group comms and strategy. i literally just sit far back and turn auto shot on, can basically go afk if i wanted

yes atm, i'm running 16/0/0 (Lion or MM chest rune/ Flanking strike leg rune/ BM hands rune)
w/ this build, Multishot is my #1 ranged ability and I'll prio that on CD even on single target rights.
We also have Scorpid Sting at 25 which disarms in PvP and some PvE

it's kinda up and down however as of right now BM is better dmg. and yes if lion or kings is active go Master marksman for sure! cats+raptors do more sustainable dmg over time. Wind serpent can do more burst dmg upfront for a very short encounter like pvp or mob grinding.

None of the top logs are using aimed or chimera. What data are you using to decide this is the best build?
i mean i m asking second time, how you know this is bis for pve? i calculated this dammage from rotation? its not that much time from patch and saying that the flanking strike somehow doing like tons of more dammage than bm build
So what PVE pet do you suggest for a non-Flanking Strike (lazy) Marksman Hunter? Still a 2.0 attack speed cat? I've been using my 1.2 Starving Mountain Lion and It's been decent but just wanna confirm with you.
any cat or raptor is going to do great. the 2.0 AS is simply to do a little more dmg w/ flanking strike, that's it!

Flanking Strike is on the GCD now
i worded that oddly, so yes flanking strike will trigger a GCD, but no it is not on GCD - this means you can do raptor strike first, then immediately flanking for max dmg.
WSG revered gives 2 pre-bis weapons. For melee you can get +11 agility with scout's blade and a +5 agi dagger from AH. For ranged you get a 15.0 dps bow.

OI I started THIS IS THE WAY in SoD, everytime I catch a ship I say THIS IS THE WAY!
This video only focus' on the Hunters DPS. If you are in a all melee group with the buff to damage for larger focus cost on pets, would a 2.0 wolf with rank two of furious howl and rank 4 bite be any good with Melee Weaving. It gives an extra 18-22 on the next physical attack. The hunter would get that bonus on every raptor strike and your melee would also gain that extra DPS. The main question would be if the Furious Howl extra damage = more DPS across the board over Claw 4.
Wolf has always been kind of a meme.
It’s 15 yard range and on a long CD. It’s also true dmg which gets added at the end after all multipliers unlike a lot of physical dmg that might say X amount in the tooltip but ends up doing a lot more and can crit etc.
I have not tested this in SoD since all info coming in has continued to reinforce what was known from classic.
Just to give you an example in SoM was the last time we tested and over multiple entire MC’s where the dps where doing over 1 million total dmg. Wolf came in at doing around 1-1.5k additional dmg per melee.
It was so low that any other ability outshined it easily and we used screech!
@@Naturetvz That's such a shame that yet again, another tool tip is misleading. If blizzard would fix it to be added to your damage so it could be multiplicative to benefit from crit multipliers and such it could be a potential option. Thanks for the clarification.

great question! you want to do a couple of things to min max, you want to make sure it's fully buff'd then if you're popping world buffs before run it also should be out.
- right before you start the BFD run after it's buffed up you'll dismiss it, then after you jump to the platform baron is on you'll summon it and have it attack.
after baron you can simply run to ghamoo-ra's room and it'll despawn allowing you to recall again

The 20% on resetting flanking strikes has to be wrong. I hardly ever get it to reset.
lol it's true, however in the rotation you're using raptor then flanking so we're losing that first 20% because we raptor first in order to do both.
BM is still doing the most dmg in the raid. If you look at the top performing hunters they are not using aimed shot or chimera. Even after all the nerfs, the 50% Increase to pet dmg from talents and BM means your pet hits like a truck. All the best weapons at this lvl clip the auto attacks if you are using aimed shot so the overall dmg you do doesn't increase that much in long fights.
This guide is mostly bogus. I wonder if this guy even plays hunter.

you are wrong about 1hs. you can get wsg dagger from pvp and 1h dagger from stockades. thats 11 agi 5 stam.
How come steelarrow crossbow better than outrider's bow considering the fact outrider's bow have a 2 more top damage, is speed that important when it comes to aimed shot?
Yes. If you clip your auto with aimed shot, you lose out on DPS, hence why you want a ranged weapon with more than a 3.0 speed
outrider's bow is great too! it's 2 more top end butt -4 bottom end. I like steelarrow beccause of the way i play and rotation. however both are great! and fairly equivalent u can make an argument both ways (i put steelarrow because of how ez it is to get compared to outrider's) not because i thought it's strait better!

In a 1H build BIS OH would be Revered Dagger with Wsg it’s 6 agi.
U can pair that with one of the several 5 agi 1H as alliance the or the 15 AP 1H as horde
31:30 this isn't max weave, it's just standard. Max weave means going in for alternating raptors & white hits after EVERY auto.
If you try to do chimera --> flanking too quickly you'll still be GCD locked
Also hard disagree on the Naga Heartrender take, it's 2nd BiS much better than steelarrow (even for aimed) and 2.90 speed which is huge for weaving. Should go to hunters before melees. Keep it tradeable until last boss in case the xbow drops.
Tauren having larger character models is generally a bad thing for hunters. The larger character model increases radius of the deadzone. When you increase a radius, the area of your deadzone increases πR². So while your melee range increases, you need to be even further away to start a ranged attack. This further limits your motion options. To add insult to injury, You'll find that in many rooms there simply isn't any place you can be to start an autoshot. TLDR: Lose some weight.

I played a Tauren hunter through out classic wow, quit in AQ40 (nothing to do with being Tauren... or even really AQ40). I can confirm there are no benefits and many drawbacks... other than looking fantastic. Stomp can actually be pretty useful in PVP, but you'd rather be able to pop beserking at range or just be an Orc, in PvE Stomp is ok in Dungeons, occasionally useful, almost never useful or even usable, since it'll be resisted by the vast majority of mobs and of course bosses, in raids.

17:00 Nah, if you're alliance, skip the rng and gold buying bs. Just get Raptor's Edge bow from the Raptor quests in wetlands. 100% guaranteed reward and it's virtually the same stats: 24-46 dmg, 2.9 speed, 12.1 dps. (Now, I will say that I got the xbow on my literal first dark iron kill, but I already had the Bow so I sold the xbow.)
Bow skill equates to 3ish % hit on any mob that is 3 levels higher than you are. So the bow might be better than xbow for trolls 🤔
in SoD, bosses are only 2 lvls higher, they did it specifically to not have weapon skill such a big impact on DPS.

ranger bow is great, outrider's bow and steelarrow crossbow edge it out however in dps! I highlighted Steelarrow just because it's a boe and u can purchase or farm quickly after hitting 25.
I'm not gonna spend a million gold for a crossbow. I got heartrender. The thing hits hard AF. Much better than my outsider bow. You saying not to roll on it is pretty fail. Exp when rogues are trying to get blunderbuss too

28:53 I'm very doubtful about your numbers of BM giving only 11dps. Did you only take into account +30% pet damage? Because the +80% Focus regen alone should be competitive with Chimera, as it nearly doubles your pet's claws or lighting breaths - both 30% dmg and 80% focus combined surely must deal more than 11dps.
Yes that was factored in! It is accurate.
With that being said the time stamp you quoted is from a MM build. This would do more in a BM build.
Just did a quick test vs 30 Ashenvale Stags lv26-27, with and without BM rune. Pet averages 74.73dps with, 38.87 without. That's a 35.86dps difference, almost double the damage. I am BM specced to be fair, but even in MM I highly doubt your number is correct. BM talent only adds 20% (the BM rune alone affects damage more than the entire BM tree) and the damage ratio between the two would still be the same regardless.@@Naturetvz
Can hunters still solo RFK?
They can solo the Trash at the beginning fairly easily and do a loop around until you hit the first 3 pack pull.
U could solo this but it’s more efficient to looop back and reset

So you have to level up a bear/spider to get rank 4 claw cause when you tame it its default rank 3

@@julianzenker6679the blacksmithing mail chest that you can upgrade during a questline in BFD. It becomes epic and makes it so that enemies that hit the tank using this chest armor will be debuffed and take increased damage. Dont know the name, but that’s what it does.

this is only partially true.
Flanking is not on GCD - the change is it triggers a GCD.
This means u can use raptor strike - then Flanking immediately after and this can be macro'd
you however can't flanking strike then Raptor strike immediately as it will trigger a gcd and raptor won't be usable until next auto attack available.
Don’t let melee have the Naga Heartrender if it’s an upgrade for you… kind of stupid actually to say, go with this green 11 DPS Xbow, over this 15 DPS bow… If you look at the meters, auto shot is your best damage, and that’s a 40% increase in damage, further enhanced with the hawk talent, which will also proc more with the hawk talent, since faster than the xbox, and you can cast aimed shot at .3 seconds before your autoshot goes off, causing it to line up about perfectly inbetween shots.
40% more dmg for hunter, is worth more than, 5 strength for melee. It’s also still good if melee weaving, and because it helps your pet.
This is a bad mindset to have in raid and flat wrong.
If you’re argument is about BM spec and autos you can pickup Outriders Bow with Revered Wsg rep. It’s 15 base dps and 2.4 AS to proc IAotH more.
A lot of melee abilities like multi shot are based on ur Wpn dmg so a weapon like steelarrow crossbow would be equivalent in a MM build.
Either way Naga would be equivalent and just barely edging out while Melees BIS for the entire phase.
U get the Gun and Xbow with 0 competition as a hunter that are both BETTER while melee have 1 item their fighting probably 3-4 other ppl in raid for.
No Shot - U wrong - if a hunter picks this up they gonna vender in a week or two when they get something better
@@Naturetvz try some simple math eh.. 5 str = 10 attack pwr, which is about 0.4 DPS.. now lets compare that to the DPS difference between the bows of 4 DPS.. (not even compounding other benefits of it also being a slow bow, so better than the PVP bow). Which one is 10x better than the other? I think you can probably figure that out. And I also go outrolled on the gun twice by rogues, which I'm not even mad about, because that Bow is still amazing, because its slow with 2.90 attack speed. Not wrong, i use it, it owns much more than that xbow, which is factually proven by the dps difference.
The argument isn’t that it does more dmg than pre raid items
Argument is there are 3 ranged Wpns that drop in BFD and this is the worst of the 3 and is the least biggest upgrade over the pre-raid.
The difference u made is wrong. Like I said if you’re BM and not weaving you’re getting Outriders bow which is about the same dmg.

10 AP for melee is much more than .4 dps. Unless they already at like 8 AP.

So stupid to think that hunters should go weeks without an upgrade “because there could be a better one available”, which they may not get for sometime. Get the upgrade hunters. Maybe it'll change at higher levels but I just cant ever see Chimera being better than BM rune at 25. Less dmg than an auto shot + refreshing a dot that does no dmg vs 30% flat dmg? Hell naw
chimera is a 6second CD that provides 85% of your wpn dmg + 32 if this averages 150 dmg that's 25 dps as an example.
Chimera does nature damage, so not impacted by armor, and currently hits for about 150 a shot non crit, on a 6 sec. Pets hitting for like 50 every 2 seconds, x 3 is 150, without the 30%. So 30% extra on the melee attacks is about 50 damage. Then let’s say claw damage is also about the same nonbuffed, and not counting starting focus, they get 25 focus every 5 seconds normally, buffed to 45 with the gloves, meaning they can get about 2 claws in within the same 6 second window. So if that’s 100 damage from claws, that’s buffed to 130. Total extra damage your pet is getting in the same 6 second window is about 80.. compared to the 150 damage chimera does. (My pet damage is from memory, may be lower/higher as it doesn’t stick out as firmly in my mind as chimera)
Entrapment in PvP, nothing more annoying then that talent! When u Defend your flag carry in Banana set it on entrance...
entrapment is broken, we don't have frost trap yet, however u can use it w/ immolate. good comment.

its fine if its a grind but soloing a lower level dungeon to farm a 15% drop pants is NOT fun. They should make like you get X item after Y steps to get pre-bis , not the current lazy stuff we have. Blizzard failed again

Some information here are just wrong. Orcs have 25% stun resistance, not 15%. And you do not only have access to serpent sting at 25, you also got scorpid sting, so you can actually disarm enemies with chimera shot.
If youre going to put out a guide, please triple check your info beforehand. I wonder what more stuff got overlooked in the remaining 36 minutes i didnt watch. I might do that some day when im bored and update this comment..

Are you soloing a 3 pack of level 28+ Elites? When I walked out there the only rifleman to kill was mixed into a pack of other elite mobs. Are you all hunter gods? If so can you put out a video how to get good and solo 3 level 28 elites at level 25? @desslabrutt8560 @accelerate08@@Naturetvz

That's because nelf is more fun than dwarf hunter.
Night elf is literally the best, they have higher base agility than dwarf, they can shadowmeld and aimed shot for surprise attacks, and they objectively look the best 😏

Why would you have no rune on chest, when you can have 20% stats, or 5% crit chance and 25% reduced mana cost on shots?

Lone Wolf has always been bad game design. You know that cool thing about your class? Don't use it. Don't look at it. Don't interact with it. Why they brought that POS in over so many of the other things from retail is beyond me. Imagine if they had gone with killshot instead and hunters actually had an execute window in SOD. But no, lone f'ing wolf.
