Disagree on Kill Command, just as most other leg runes it's a marginal nearly meaningless 1% (2% if lucky) DPS boost. It's almost the same as your pet triggering 1 extra Bite ability per minute (KC just gives 120% extra damage), absolute peanuts. Even if you don't like to melee weave every 6sec Raptor Strike cooldown, at least bring Flanking Strike and do it every 30secs (meaning once per boss fight since they die so fast, or twice in some cases), it's still not crazy damage but better than KC - that's how bad KC is, but so are all leg runes to be fair. EDIT: 7:51 not sure why you advise melee weaving for MM but not BM. If anything BM has no rotation going on other than shooting multishot every 10 seconds (plus pets deal 20% more dmg, making flanking strike's pet attack marginally better), so BM is actually the easier build to melee weave with, without worrying about MM's 2 extra shots that establish a real rotation that can be screwed up easier when combined with melee weaves - I agree melee weaving is better on any build, but BM should do it just as much as MM.

And what you think about the 5 Points into aspect of the hawk? Imo thats 5 points for a random buff which ia inconsistent and if it procs and you dont move it does literaly nothing to your dps because theres nothing to stack up on that proc. Ive tested it not only in sod and it never came up when needed and if it proced the dps push was marginal.
As BM it's the best thing we can do, no matter how annoying. As MM you can go into Survival Monster/Humanoid Slaying as an alternative for your extra 5 points, I haven't tested or read the actual difference between the two but if you're looking for consistency then that's the best option IMO@@denisjanjos6637
Sniper training is usable on every boss in BFD, even Kelris. Just gotta multi shot before you move. Might get unlucky for 1 or two multi shots although still worth it.
the top parsing hunter runs windserpent and flanking strike, i do tho since i have the trident and windserpents spell ignores armor and scales insanely with your stats. kill command is tons of burst but flanking strike does more if you have the weapon for it, especialy if you get druid windfury
2H, if you don't plan to do melee. You should run +3 Int. That's one extra shot's worth of mana. Also melee weaving is proving highest dps output. For consumes if you want to sweat, you use the elixir on yourself and the scroll on the pet. I use rank 1 scrolls on my pet, they are super cheap.

Good breakdown but I'm curious if you've actually tested wind serpent after the nerfs? I am a nearly BFD BIS (missing crossbow and set helm) hunter. I run cat pet in this BM talent build (echiyakee, 2.0 cat). I went into BFD this week with another hunter that was fairly fresh to BFD and didnt even have all his pre-raid BIS items. He was running a standard wind serpent. We were both BM spec as shown in this video and were both running kill command and beast mastery runes. He was running Lion and I was using cobra strikes (thus another reason i should do more dmg). He did more dmg and more dps than me on most fights all because his wind serpent was doing crazy dmg. His wind serpent was beating dps warriors, paladins, and casters of all types on most but not all of the fights. Overall raid dmg (including trash) his wind serpent did 200k dmg and my cat did 150k. We were both 300k total dmg. Every guide, video, and writeup I've seen says use a cat or raptor, but I think there might be something more to the wind serpent that people are overlooking. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Ya man totally agree. Wind serpent is out dpsing in my experience and you get to run flanking strike instead of kill command that even further increases dps with melee weaving
It also has to do with engage time of the ws. Ws can engage quicker an blast 2 LBs before a cat comes close to melee range. It also mitigates armor. Where as cats have their damaged reduced based on armor of the mob it's attacking.
Last 2 raids ive been the stongest dmg pet still seems to be the serpent, why do u say cats are better? they dont pick kill command, but they pick flanking strike and melee weave. it seems to do better overall than just afk shoot and having a cat.
I'm running serpent and do about 130 dps on the last 2 fights can't hit that with my cat. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but the serpent has been treating me right.
Also I know they nerfed us a lot but if you melee weave correctly you still can dump so much damage and it’s a way more interactive play style vs classic hunter
Great points on this. Hopefully, now that hunters are a bit more in tune with the rest of the damage dealers, we can get a break from the nerf bat. Fair points about flanking strike, it really does pay off. I do think though, that there are a number of hunter players that are a bit intimidated when they hear melee weaving even though it really isn't as hard as it sounds. Plus, the numbers on it are pretty satisfying after they gave it a buff a couple patches back
we play hunters to be ranged w/ pet focused dps, not to be fake makeshift warriors between shots. Melee weaving has no place in a true hunter's rotation, regardless of the minor dps boost. IMO anyway
watch one of the above mention pets perform the attack on an enemy and it will say in your chat box that you learned the ability. Then in your pet training menu, you can apply it to the pet you want it on as long as their pet type can learn the said ability@@qwickiller
I’ll give it a test Cyberdemongenuineundead. Some other people are saying to give wind serpent another shot too. Some fights might work with sniper training but I think on average KC will be best more often than not. I’ll give it a test though, thanks for the suggestion!

Since day 1 im running MM spec with improved 3/5 aspect of hawk, BM runes and fast blue bow 25lv. Owning PVE and PVP and i dont give a fly fk if im not 1st on damage meters
in the cats, the rare ones at this level (humar and rake) are going to be the faster attack speed and these are great for pvp at this level. The slower attack speed cats, are doing just slightly better than the faster ones but realistically, they are both so close, it is insignificant which one you choose. Wind Serpents at this level are just a visual choice. There is Wache Pawne (I think that is the spelling) which just is a red color and also the wyverns are reskinned wind serpants. Any of these would have the same damage output.
MM is better with epic crossbow, BM is better with pre-bis gear. With blue bow/gun from raid, it is debatable which is better. If your raid group kills bosses quickly, MM is better. If not, then BM
Imp Aspect of the Hawk procs an okay amount for me. There isn't anything else damage oriented this early in the tree to push us further down to get unleashed fury and ferocity. Those two are going to be where the majority of our damage comes from since the pet is such a huge part of our damage as a beast mastery hunter
I was kinda dissapointed with Imp Aspect of the Hawk. Maybe because on HC I was playing a kinda fast bow, but this time with almost 3 secs AS rate, it wasnt worth it. I preferred to start with MM, pets are scaling pretty hard even without talents. I will prolly give more points to BM on next phase, so I don't dump my crit rate and atk power from MM.
@@mephs-l2 yeah. I know this video is about bm. But I even did in Hc, always getting aim shot asap, then deep in bm tree. The fact you can have a good dps burst spell at lvl 20 is just so amazing. But I can tell that without bm spece it’s difficult to let pet tank to lvl 25+ mobs in rfk
@@tokopaaisen2927 Yep agreed. I have soloed the first sections RFK several times, and initially did it with BM. Tried last night as MM and it's a world of difference. Pet dies too easily if it tanks more than one mob and even though I enjoy the rotation more, it's just not keeping up with BM for damage, at least not at the moment unfortunately.

Second this, its definitely the move. Wind Serpent also benefits a lot more from boon buff than the other pets

You can also get the agility buff from that one locked up quil boar at camp taraujo in southern barrens for some blood shards. It lasts half an hour.
highest scope you can get at 25 is standard scope btw
^ this, I've seen so many guides recommending Accurate Scope + Lesser agility on cloaks (+3 agi) but we can't use those haha.
honestly, kill command isnt worth it over flanking strike. Melee weaving is where its at this phase, especially if you get a spot in a feralWF group.
With the recent buff to Flanking strike incurring WF like and other on hit effects, I could see this being legit. I'll try this out. Thanks!

When it expands and reaches the full red bar, that is the draw and shot of the auto. Place your spells in the grey tipped phase to avoid the clipping
