you can distract just ONE of the add from captain greenskin each time, greenskin and the other add will continue walking
Oh man that's a really good tip, that makes greenskin way better. Distract one of the adds, let Greenskin + other add walk away, kill the lone add. Pinned your comment!
also you should try the other Vancleef jump where you jump to the platform where all the smaller cannons are(behind where he was located), Vancleef+adds will run a big cicrcle around(you go counterclock wise to the wooden ramp part, once they get to you you can jump out to the wooden platform and VC will go around the circle again). Might take longer but probably dont require changing talents etc, just need pot/bandage@@SimonizeShow
I don't like that because it requires clearing another whole platform worth of enemies. I had seen that strategy before and didn't want to have to clear so many mobs.

I found killling Cobrahn much easier if you sap him, kill the 2-3 python adds and then nuke the boss.

Same. I mark the patrolling mob. Goes pretty far but safety wise I do it.
Could also garrote him, saber slash once, pop blade dance and then kill the adds with auto-attacks to save energy (they should die before you tick up to 100 but if not you could get away with using some energy) and go back to the boss.
Simonize, let me just tell you that this was the video that got me to play a rogue. It was really well done and offered a challenge. As a big tauren warrior main, It also showed how fun the sneaky rogue toolkit is. Just finished my FIRST bfd raid last night on my rogue, did really well following your guide, and i thought it was especially slick when everyone got pushed off the Aquanis platform i vanished -> shadow strike to get immediately back into the action. I then got my honed talwar. So fun!

You could also use an anti-venom from first aid to remove that poison. They aren't too expensive and they're very easy to farm as well. You only need the first anti-venom as well, because it cures up to level 25 poisons, which don't exist in the deadmines. That poison is level 20 from greenskin.
Topped the meters 7/7 bosses on my first rogue bfd, in greens, thanks to your guide. Referred to myself as LIL PUMP the whole time. Thanks Simon!

Your VC strat is so much better than mine! Mine was to use tank runes on chest and legs, sap an add, pop evasion at 50% for 100% avoidance and rush him down, then backpedal to evade spot. It worked, but yours is way cleaner and will be safer if I decide to make a 2nd rogue. Thanks dude!
I've been able to do more upfront fighting strategies like that, but only with raid geared characters. This guy was level 24 with barely any gear or buffs so I had to pick a different strategy.
This way was faster for me but I had some decent gear already minus the chest. 8 min runs. Love the content from simonize though for when you can’t pump VC hard enough as I ended around 30% HP using a health pot most of the time.

the audio balance is really good too, the background music is audible, but your voice is also really audible
I think you go 2 points in Endurance actually. Just getting more sprints will help you actually get to the bosses so much faster. That will have a significant impact if you need multiple runs to get the drops.
As others have mentioned, anti-venom is really nice. It clears ALL poisons from you and has a short CD that isn't shared with potions/bandages. Plus you can use it to dispel/save others. I think people sleep on it XD
Which Addon do you use for the big life bars at ur character ?
Never played rogue, but now you got me to think of leveling one.
I'm not sure why, but I am instantly having stealth broken by the wolf at the entrance of SFK. New to rouge, not sure if I am doing something wrong

Anyone have any tips on how to make the VC jump with undead male? I'm struggling and I'm not sure if it is a different jump animation just not "sticking" like in the video or if I am doing something wrong.

Now any chance you have a lockpicking location so you can do the door in deadmines? I've checked the level 1 spots in Barrens and Redridge and both are being botted to high heaven and can't be used at all.

Amazing video as always bro good info on how to solo this stuff, and by the way If anyone has a rogue homie you can go and duo this and skip killing anything but VanCleef just keep kitting him to avoid the mobs walking around he should die before they do a full circle just rotate your vanishes, evasion and bring some thistle tea and health pots to make it faster, both me and the homie got all 3 items for rogue for both of us in 3 hours (total of 6 items) just a tip for anyone with a homie willing to help you out, think each clear took us about 9min tops once we got it down. and i guess you can duo all the other bosses just to speed things up.

hey simone, im gavng issues using envemom, what should i put on my weapons? sharpen them both? sharpen oh? poison with crippling? poison with isnatnt? ive noticed several times with 5 CPs i cans use envenom

I just don't know how you pull adds from Baron Silverlaine without aggroing him and other add.
I sometimes pull him when I fight both adds on the stairs where you fought them.
Is this still viable with the recent change to Blade Dance?
why do i have less HP and less melee attack power with the same, or even slightly better, gear? i dont see a reason, weird ... (lvl 25 night elf rogue)
Do the first VC adds respawn if you were to kill them then vanish or kill them then evade reset?

9 runs and I finally get Leggings of the Fang. Did it at lvl 24. GearScore ~ 180. Runes: Saber Slash, Between the Eyes, Deadly Brew. Sometimes used Healing potion.

For baron silverpine you can wait for the close mob to patrol its farthest path distract and pull baron into the corner and they plus the worgen patrol wont pull for the entire fight. Will note I do this for gear runs at LVL 25 so this might not work if you are 24 just putting it out there for any fresh 25 rogue chads.

In SFK you ONLY need to kill the patroll
Stay behind the boss close to the torch, open then jump back on the boxes (left side when looking at him from infront )
I did it once only killing the patrol, and the two other guys aggro'd while i was fighting the boss. May have been because I was only level 24.
i usually don't kill anything but the boss, just gotta be a bit patient for one of them to walk past and if u position a bit on the right (behind the boss) u can kill him without pulling anything else, and also u don't need any tank talents for that boss, with a nice between the eyes stun you are good to go.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, i have the exact same setup as you but I can't manage to kill either of greenskin's pirates before i end up dying or having to vanish :(

No, the boss will mind control you and reset
At the lever in sfk you can vanish immediately after pulling the lever if you stand at the back of the cell you wont be detected when doing the dialog
Whats the point of doing it? If u talk to npc u need to get out of stealth and wait another 10 sec to restealth

Baron Silverlain, and Cobrahn : yes. VanCleef only if they run with you (thus being a stealth class too)

Not sure if VC goes far enough but there is a very easy kite spot down before mr smite, I saw a druid use it for soloing smite. You just hop on and off the railing. Would have to clear more but for those of us with white boi legs, it might be worth it.
Yeah I saw many other kiting strategies in other videos and I didn't want to do any of them because it involved so much more mob clearing.
Never played a rogue before but have been enjoying the challenge of trying to solo things lol, currently 21 and was trying to solo the deadly brew rune but can't seem to stealth past the dinning room so ill try again at 22 when i get vanish lol

if you respec into subtlety you should be able to do even at level 20
I did it at 20 with 5pts master of deception
Respec and put 5 points in master of deception and 5 points in camouflage

Great guide! I think the tech to solo VanCleef is really freaking cool.
However, if I am being honest, it is not worth using all those potions and rumsy rum etc. You racked up at least a 5g bill on all those consumes. You can get a blacksmith to craft a mighty iron hammer. Same AS and damage as barb, but has less AP. Or get a group and res your barb ; ).
Other bosses however are much simpler and are definitely worth soloing.
i love these videos, my problem is i can never effectively use the exploits right 😅😂 specifically naming the VC one. I'll give it a shot though. My gear is decent have pre bis and a couple BFD bis gear so it might be a little easier, i want CB for off hand.

yes you can ! when standing on the box if you aim for the left edge of then cannon you hit it everytime!
My character is a dwarf and I wasn't able to make the jump to loop van cleef, probably the same problem for gnomes.
some folks have commented that it doesn't work for certain race/body type models with slightly different hit boxes. try eating a savory deviate delight to turn into human.

at that point, just have another rogue/feral druid you dont mind farming with and itll go even faster
unsurprisingly, it would be faster with more people. i had fun soloing it and plenty of other people enjoy that kind of challenge too.

Rogues: Warlocks are OP, I can't gank them, their drain life is too strong with the new rune.
Also Rogues: I can solo farm all of my BIS loot.

but your chance of success with each attempt will be lower if you don't have X beneficial thing.
or to make up for not having X thing, you will need to have better consumables, better gear, better buffs, or better luck (more crits, more dodges, etc)
