This film really scared me. The book itself was my favorite part. I have been unable to watch it again. The unsurmountable dread is too much for me and I don't think I could sit through the child's performance again. The young actor was very good in his part.
“…a pair of hands around their necks from the very first frame, getting tighter and tighter” 😮 She definitely succeeded on that front, I don’t recall too many details of the plot but the one main thing I will always remember about this movie is the FEELING like good lord it was one of the most TENSE movies I’ve ever seen lol
Not being a massive horror fan i'd not heard of this movie, but after this review and seeing how well made it looks i might just give it a try.. cheers!
Wow thanks for saying that! Really needed that today :) New video coming on Saturday, stay tuned. If you want to help the channel grow, how about sharing the video on social media or with your friends :)
Not a horrorfilmbuff per se (pun intended for finish readers 😂), mainly because of the sheer volume of jumpscare shit nowadays. But movies like this, how you said it, "get under your skin" are definately worth watching. But like you, only once 😅. Also the absence of cgi is a positive thing for sure. I tend to wait for a friends recommendations about these kind of movies because I too lazy to find the my self. Thank you for this one, good sir!!
A gem of a movie, brilliant! Like u said, as a horror fan that has seen his share it's hard to be surprised, but man this movie hit me like a sledgehammer...i was actually scared :)).Another one was the witch by eggers ,loved the atmosphere. Like the channel, it's informative! Subscribed!
@@InAwe9000Of course- nothing but teenagers running around in face paint, screaming & setting fire to churches! 😂 No, I'd love to go myself; my father in law is always banging on about what a great time he had over there. Enjoying the channel & the pick of great films by the way, cheers🎩
Mental note: the word ”pop-up book” is most likely the reason pop-filters were invented for microphones.
I would pay good money just to hear Rowan Atkinson say that word once.
Love to see this channel grow. Now for the first time with ads which is unfortunate but neccessary. Keep up the good work 👍
Yeah I hope the ads don't inconvenience you guys too much 😪
Thanks for your kind words and glad to have you back.

Yup!
I very rarely actually FEEL the emotion of fear but I definitely remember this one being genuinely scary, uncomfortable, and TENSE beyond belief!

Yes, it's very tense - even uncomfortably so.
Looking forward to watching your video. The Buffy intro in the background was dope 👌
Buffy is always dope.

“All of the Aussies and BOTH the Norwegians watching this video…” 😂😂😂😂
Algorithm did not like this video apparently so this statement might actually be true :)
oh yea buffy time!
Hell yeah!
Just some guy from norway!😂
Well that is my understanding of Norway anyway!
Actually I love Norway, especially the Northern part is a place I always love to visit.

@@Donkey_GlossolaliaThanks for watching! In Norway, I recommend Lofoten islands and the northern fjords around Tromso. Incredible views!
i respect the movie but i didnt like it much, it was more like a domestic drama with a monster added into the mix to give the movie an edge to sell it
Maybe not for everyone then!
Completely useless fact ! 😆
But not a spoiler mind you!
