- We're trying to catch a pike on a SPIDER LURE?!? We're still up at Munroe Lake Lodge in northern Manitoba. We have a few minutes before our plane comes and we're seeing if we can catch a topwater pike on this goofy looking spider lure!

Last week I was catfishing with a bottom rig and a chunk of hotdog. Watched a pike follow it in while I was reeling in the bait. Smashed it right in front of me. It didn't even mind the little float I had near the bait.

Jay, try bending those hooks up slightly and try boiling the baits for a minute or two. It'll help your hook-ups. Boiling softens the bait. Hooks pointed up slightly idk if I need to explain.

Not surprised fish hit it. It looked alive on the surface. Could you modify it to increase the hooking percentage? Figure out how to do that, and it would be a great lure in the right place.

I bet that a hook on a tennis ball would work . Just tape the hook to the tennis ball. The line to the hooks keeps your fish . Maybe even a white tennis ball would work on hunter biden ?
