Please do a bluing job with Stump-Remover. Think it fits the bill better than some parkerizing.

Another gem. Enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to the tuning on the sear, hammer and spring. The 19lb hammer spring should be plenty. It has been for all of my needs. Looking forward to the next one.

Glad you enjoyed it! The hammer and spring feel really good as it is…have to admit that I’m surprised that it dropped in and functioned so well. But I’m sure there’s something I can do to it! So far, all of the shooting with it has been with the factory spring so it will be interesting to see how it feels with the 19.

@@nobodytraining Most of the time all you have to do is knock the razor sharp edges off the sear with an Arkansas stone. If you buy the same kit from Atlas you don't have to do anything, same parts from the same EGW but all of the prep is already done. Most of the time just hitting the 2 edges of the sear lightly with a stone to remove the sharp edge does the trick unless the frame holes are way off and you are done. Rock on dude!

@@nobodytraining you don't need the heavy spring with standard 230 grn ammo

The 10-8 armorer's block has a lot of holes in it, and the use of some of them is not obvious. As someone pointed out to me, there is a hole in the face at the top left corner with a notch right above it in the top edge of the block. The shaft of a thumb safety will slide into the hole and the lug of the safety will drop into the notch to hold it in the correct position for filing.

That’s a great wisdom nugget! Would have been easier to file. But I guess how I did it shows those who don’t have one that it can be done.

I always did it the same as you until someone else passed the tip down to me

When filling the trigger bow run the sharpie across to identify any high spots. Run a magazine through the bow after filing to make sure it's not the problem after messing with fitting a new mag release!! Also before slamming a mg in the hand grip depress the mag release as it enters!! Like a woman 🤣
