I don't see the problem with being a collector and what Nike is doing by re-releasing models in high demand. I am a collector personally but I only buy what I really like. I think the problem is when people buy everything just for "hype" or for resale price. Obviously all those people are going to be pissed off by what Nike is doing, but in my case I am glad that Nike is doing this and that new collectors or fans in general can have access to a shoe that they like without having to pay absurd amounts of money.
A person would be stupid to pay resale for any shoe when they can be verified as real and the hype is dead

Of course. All pairs have a shelf life…Glue and TPU all break down. Better to wear your pairs than let them crumble in a box just so people can feel something because they “have them” or “they’re on ice”. Especially when the retail price continues to climb and people are paying $200+ for a pair to sit in a box.

If I see any news about OG TRAVIS Scott 1 lows and highs re-releasing , I’m selling off my entire collection or at least 90% of it. No reason to have 200 pairs of shoes and have some sitting that I thought were at least collecting value if I wasn’t wearing them through the years. The smartest thing Nike can do right now is focus on bringing back Grails in 2025-2026 and reducing the amount of trash color ways. If they do that then the market will stabilize and eventually go back up
They can’t just rereleasing all the shoes that resell for a lot. A big thing is the exclusivity and hype. Reason a lot of people go after certain shoes is cus they resell for a lot and are limited. People want things that are exclusive.

Don’t expect to get leather like the 2015 release. Nike has been using a lot of suede/nubuck material on their recent releases. We might see material like the Yellow Ochre on the 2025 release.
