I had forgotten my old tactic to make things glow, and found this tutorial to help refresh me! It was so easy to follow, and even taught me some new tactics to use, which really made my character art so much more magical. Thanks for the help and inspiration, Dave!
I’m working on an artwork and I knew something was missing, this video helped a lot and I am so grateful. U should get more fame cuz urs so good at explaining as well
I have a question. You're explaining one thing-- that presumably, the people who visit know nothing about. It is a multi-step process involving spacial coordination of several layers.. So your decision is to do it 3 times on the same interface, so it's difficult to discern what you're doing with each step. why on earth would you do it that way? I mean, you must be really smart. Definitely smarter than me.
I can’t understand why it’s confusing? What does “3 times on the same interface” mean? I just do it the way I know how, and that’s the way I teach it.. 🤔
Hey Dave. I took another shot at it, and had a terrific time. Really learned a lot. Where I had the problem was with the select and transform tools at the beginning. I think I listened to your instructions without watching. This turned out to be a very, very strong video. Clear. Carefully explained. And with a lot of good information. BTW. I've also done several of your drawing videos on Skill Share, and have learned a lot.
@@mikeb2644 that’s so great to hear, I’ll take note of that as I’m sure other oriole may have done what you did - it’s a tricky thing sometimes, but I’m glad I was able to stay clear and consistent! Teaching / tutorials is still pretty new to me, but I really enjoy it. Especially when people express that it’s been useful to them, so thank you! 💯 🙌🏾
@@drugfreedave Hi Dave. Thanks for the kind words. Your videos have really been helpful to me in tangible ways. I'm a long way from getting there, but my people are actually starting to look like people. If you don't mind, I want to suggest a procreate video. It's just about the software, but I can't imagine that I'm the only person confused by the relationship between the 'select' and 'transform' buttons, especially in terms of copying, cutting and pasting. The 'transform' button is a mystery to me-- I never know what it will encase. I know you mainly make more aesthetically oriented videos. But I, for one, would be extremely grateful. And I'd be delighted to describe for you where, at least my own, confusions lie. And thank you again for the your content on SkillShare and RUclips-- it's absolutely some of the best out there.

Well I'm using a 1 pixel canvas and it didn't work
I’m not sure what that means? 🤔
@@drugfreedave like I actually made the canvas one pixel
Why? Is this referring to something I said in the video?
@@drugfreedave yes you said you can use any size canvas
I pixel is a pixel, therefor cannot be a canvas for it is a pixel
Do you also own the Make this Brush channel? You kinda sound the same.
Yep that’s me 👍🏾
I knew it! The moment I heard your first phrase, I knew I heard it somewhere.@@drugfreedave
