She was watching the guy closely and stores need to appreciate you guys taking a moment that very likely inspires all the rest of us 'students'.
Marcus Hurt hey man just asking cuz I want to work at a music store how is it at GC and what is the process of hiring? Is there any requirements other than like a ged or diploma and some type of music background?
Lil Scremo Sorry I have never worked at a music store, I'm only commenting as a fellow guitarist visiting a store. I will say I have worked retail and all in all retail sucks PERIOD. No matter what it is, guitars, cars, clothes or TVs. Very rough work on the ego and soul.
Yup lol. I don't work in one bit I am there several times a week hanging out and I know exactly what you mean. Sucky part for you is you can't just leave if it gets too bad lol.
I would have just handed you a really expensive guitar and stood at the door saying to anyone who came in "if you want to sound like that, you gotta have a guitar like that" Edit: I forgot about this comment, its 4 yrs later and I am now a legitimate salesman😂 not a guitar salesman though

He's busy doing his own thing. You need to crank an amp a bit to get a good sound out of it. is he supposed to play shittier so you feel better about yourself? You don't like shred so that means nobody else should like it either? I'd much prefer being in a guitar store with a dude that thinks guitar is fun than a joyless prick who can only make themselves feel better by putting other people down. He doesn't get kicked out - his playing kicks other people out. They must be thinking oh my god not another non creative, derivative, overly loud wanker!
The only problem is that some people think that Guitar Center is their personal stage. If you are legit about trying out some gear that's totally different.
I don't know why they'd kick you out. I'd come in just to hear you play. I would think knowing a guitar could sound that great would be a major selling point.
Wow... your speed picking hand is so steady it's incredible! They probably kick you out cuz you scare away all the 10 year olds who can only play smoke on the water. You're an absolute beast!
Michael Arias exactly! They are trying to sell to the parents of these ten year olds and making it an oppressive atmosphere doesn't do that. Why can't he go busking if he needs attention?
It's even harder to do when there's some jackoff with his amp turned to 10 shitting out the same van Halen noise every wannabe rockstar has played for the past 40 years when they come in the store. A little courtesy goes a long ass way in this world
What’s wrong with Smoke on the Water? It’s a great song and Deep Purple is one of the original heavy metal bands. I just heard it again on the radio today, always lovely. So fucking what if the riff is relatively simple. Simple riffs are often the best. Sick of all these “haha it’s just smoke on the water” jokes. Or Iron Man or Enter Sandman or whatever.
Don't know why this has so many dislikes. I really don't but i do know one thing and its that this guy can fucking play the shit out of that guitar. Amazing!
I swear guitarists are some of the biggest pricks I know. This guy rips!! Swallow your ego and give credit where it’s due. So if you’re not good you shouldn’t play cause it sounds bad, but if you shred it’s being flashy? Nonsense! Let people do them. You rock man
@@Tyler_Hodges So... did you buy the guitar? NO?!!! I am SHOCKED! How many times have you played that guitar without buying it? How many days a week do you go there to "test out" guitars? Have you EVER bought a guitar over $600 with your own money? Have you moved out of your parents house yet? Had a job more than 6 months?
Ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get yourself heard. It got me here, and I'll say YOU SLAY! Keep it going! Hopefully you DON'T get kicked out of Guitar Center for it! ;P
I would understand someone playing awfully loud getting kicked out but with a good solo like this getting kicked out is simply hate or is having a bad day or doesn’t like his job or even music
right, i mean, if someone is annoying everyone in the store well i'd also kick them out. i don't think this is THAT loud tho, you can clearly hear his picking still. and for the «no soul» guys, ever fucking tried a guitar before buying it?
Raúl Pérez Exactly, and spoiler alert! I was actually the quietest person in the store, the phone was right up against the amp. That’s why you can hear bass thumping and these guys talking right beside me. I just don’t feel the need to explain myself to all the haters.
Wish I had someone show me that at age 5 not me walking into the local shop at the time and see a all red guitar and think hmm what one of my family members are getting this when you have nothing much you expect nothing much. Love it.
Back when I worked at GC (in 1998) every now and again I'd get a guy like you that came thru the store. I ALWAYS turned that guy UP!! I'd get my shred on too, but anything more than 3-4 minutes and my managers would get on my A$$....but heck I did it when things were slow or boring. Had a Gary Hoey clinic in the pro audio room. Rest of store was a ghost town....I had to stay in my dept. So I plugged a Triaxis into a G-Force into a Marshall 9200 power amp with 2 Marshall 4x12's (about 10 ft apart with all our rack stuff in the middle) and turned it up somewhat. Did pretty much what this dude is doing but was ripping VH, Lynch, Yngwie, Pantera, Zakk & improvising. I look up and there's like 20 people standing there telling me this was a "great clinic".....I laughed and pointed them to the pro audio room....I look nothing like G.H. Hahaha....

that finish reminds me of the joker synyster gates signature
xxcringelordmasterxx69xx it does
Man they kicked you out hard!! Are you okay??
The only problem is that some people think that Guitar Center is their personal stage. If you are legit about trying out some gear that's totally different.
This makes you wonder why some people become famous and others do not. It certainly isn’t talent alone.
Mean street had allegedly made some nice fiddles? How was it?
... You should get a prize anytime you get bounced from GC...
Lee Morrison i was trying to figure out what kind of guitar that was
Yea man, this thing played absolutely wonderful!!! Super smooth and easy to play!
I don't know why they'd kick you out. I'd come in just to hear you play. I would think knowing a guitar could sound that great would be a major selling point.
Holy Eddie Van Halen, Batman! MAD KUDOS!
Eddie called. He wants his licks back lmao this is awesome
To assert dominance, Say "Just making sure the guitar can keep up with me" then buy the guitar. I'm sure they'll want you back anytime
Man ..id listen to you shred all day ..that's class😀
Stairway to heaven denied.......lol
Yankee allday one day the Excalibur will be mine.
Bacon Sizzle ooo yes
You probably get kicked out because there were a dozen other guys that played all the same stuff before you came in.
Oh you made me laugh
ChokeMeMistress
I've now reached my goal for the day. :)
" look at all the van halen licks I know" ..... well done but who cares?
I hate people who try to show off at Guitar Center and play outdated finger tapping as if they were stuck in the 80s with Van Halen.
#1 reason I don’t go to Guitar Center.
Wow... your speed picking hand is so steady it's incredible!
A little courtesy goes a long ass way in this world
@@PiPArtemis lol
What’s wrong with Smoke on the Water? It’s a great song and Deep Purple is one of the original heavy metal bands. I just heard it again on the radio today, always lovely. So fucking what if the riff is relatively simple. Simple riffs are often the best. Sick of all these “haha it’s just smoke on the water” jokes. Or Iron Man or Enter Sandman or whatever.
the eyebrow has its own interpretation of the notes 😂😉
You sound great brother! Excellent feel.
widdly widdly..... derrilly derillly....... widdly widdly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You rock man
Alex Marquez Thanks man! And I agree, you just can’t win these days lol
Its not even that. Its that its boring. Literally just running the same scales over and over. No skill at all
@@Tyler_Hodges So... did you buy the guitar? NO?!!! I am SHOCKED!
How many times have you played that guitar without buying it?
How many days a week do you go there to "test out" guitars?
Have you EVER bought a guitar over $600 with your own money?
Have you moved out of your parents house yet? Had a job more than 6 months?
Bored stiff. So, you can widdle.... and, did you buy it??
Ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get yourself heard. It got me here, and I'll say YOU SLAY! Keep it going! Hopefully you DON'T get kicked out of Guitar Center for it! ;P
Thanks my dude! 🤘🏼😎
Love the EVH style! Suggestions on where to begin learning this style on guitar? Just learning EVH solos?
I would understand someone playing awfully loud getting kicked out but with a good solo like this getting kicked out is simply hate or is having a bad day or doesn’t like his job or even music
You are really good at guitar 🎸 . You are way better than me. Nice job 👍🤘
WEAK DRAGON were all better than you
Do you get kicked out for playing boring formulaic faux Van Halen licks from 40 years ago? Then I understand why......
I'd keep you in store to showcase!
Guy is very good at what he does whether you like it or dislike it.
rexieb3 yeah cause just running mindless scales and ripping off evh licks is sooooo hard
They kick you out because you don't buy anything.
right, i mean, if someone is annoying everyone in the store well i'd also kick them out. i don't think this is THAT loud tho, you can clearly hear his picking still. and for the «no soul» guys, ever fucking tried a guitar before buying it?
Raúl Pérez Exactly, and spoiler alert! I was actually the quietest person in the store, the phone was right up against the amp. That’s why you can hear bass thumping and these guys talking right beside me. I just don’t feel the need to explain myself to all the haters.
Raúl Pérez believe me hes loud, you dont get that sound without crankin it a bit,i dont give a shit how close the phone is.
Hes a dime a dozen. Nothing special. And no. Theres no emotion
Satan i know there's no emotion, but that's not the point of the video
Satan, That is what the stones' manager said about hendrix the first time he heard him play. Taste does not control quality or "soul".
You shredded my face off dude! \m/
Lmao so many haters. Dude is good. Check his channel too he can more than just shred.
LeftEyeless no. He cant lol
The tapping passages and transition to harmonic minor were great. The rest wasn't my cup of tea...except for the squealies, squealies are life lol.
Matthew Ramroop pinch harmonic*
Wish I had someone show me that at age 5 not me walking into the local shop at the time and see a all red guitar and think hmm what one of my family members are getting this when you have nothing much you expect nothing much. Love it.
Are you going to buy something or are you auditioning for your dream job?
I actually enjoy this guys playing
Cool playing dude. Not enough people play like this anymore. A lot of players now focus on constant sweeps and soulless mindless scale runs.
GuacSucker thanks dude! I appreciate it! 🙏🏼
Literally all hes doing is mindless scale runs. Yall both dont know shit
Satan cool story bro
Hahaha....
I wonder if anyone that's gotten kicked out has said "I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet."
But your kids are gonna love it
