Steve you know I can't wait for you to do a " How to be.." I've waited months for that.please make one again soon. You are crazy and I love you for it.
I dunno, with the exception of the bass farts and Billie Joe Pottymouth, I think most of the sounds were just Canadian geese that snuck onto the recordings.🤔
At the end of the final verse of "I Can't Get Not Satisfaction" when Mick says "and I try and I try and I try and I try, I can't get no" Keith comes in too early with the main guitar riff. You hear him play a note, then pause before playing the riff.
Whole Satisfaction is full of not so precise playing of the riff, since it was supposed be replaced by horns. He maybe used the fuzz pedal, Maestro FuzzTone for first time at that session so yeah, he comes late, one times plays early, you can hear him switch it on and off.
i think the reason people need so many takes to record a part nowadays is because back in the days before digital recording studios, the band would practice their parts before even setting foot in a studio. that's a huge difference from how we usually record today. now we can just record everything without having to worry about the cost of wasted tape or studio time.
I’ve played a d and g barred together on the 12th fret in the song paranoid, ever since I learned it. Now….whats really cool is the loaded c# , 1/2 step, then brought down during the first note of the solo…..trick. Bad ass for the day.
I always find a Coldplay reference awkward in these videos, because they're my favourite band, yet at the same time Stevie T is my favourite RUclipsr. I don't know where my loyalties lie.
I think the Paranoid "mistake" was Tony playing a trill, but it didn't sound out properly. And the Creep thing was because of having to re-record the track so many times that they just grew to hate it. Johnny Greenwood was actively trying to destroy the song with those iconic chugs
From what I always got from Paranoid tabs (which are all wrong probably) it's open stringed harmonics kinda sloppily played on the 12th fret A and D strings. Either way it's part of the song, he even plays it live like that.
jesus god bro! i thought i was literally the ONLY one who could hear that sour note in Paranoid!!! Thank you for validating that im not COMPLETELY bonkers!
I'm late, but another interesting video idea would be songs that sound like other songs but don't really rip them off. My son noticed that Dream On and Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar share a melody. Have a great day!
Fun trivia: That Creep guitar schmack is the inspiration for The Mighty Mighty Bostones - The Impression That I Get chorus intro, the "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiii never had to knock....."

That. And the guitarist of old were probably on drugs 💊 😮
That was fun!!😄 I agree, they were all most probably wasted in those recordings😆 5:02 That’s pretty much how I practice guitar😆 I’ve always noticed the “Dream On” one, and I kinda liked it - I thought it had character😀 Hey, I know it’s SUPER random, but just out of curiosity: was Charlie Chaplin ever your influence (comedy-wise)? I’m a HUGE admirer of Charlie Chaplin, I’ve seen a lot of his movies more than once, for sure. And when I pay attention to your physical comedy, I sense something slightly “chaplinesque” sometimes...😀
So I'm not the only one who noticed the 'Dream On' mistake!! I thought maybe it was intentional, but the other verses are perfectly normal. 🤔 Good call. I'm a HUGEEE Charlie Chaplin fan. I have his entire collection on DVD! 😂
Brian May said to Beato that he listened to Bohemian Rhapsody years later and the guitars at the end sounded sharp next to the piano so he re-recorded the guitar parts.

That part sounds like an urban legend. I have heard this many times before. But this noisy stab is right in the style of Jonny Greenwoods guitarstyle. I don't think that he was trying to ruin the song. I think it is a made up story. I think that he was simply trying to put something cool into the song, which he succeeded in
GREAT VIDEO!! But I'm super surprised you didn't include spirit of the radio by Rush. End of the second measure on the intro right before geddy and Neil join in, Alex falls just shy of his intended fret with his hammer on. Very quick part but very obvious when you listen for it. They usually played the song faster live and he plays it very clean live.
I've been a fan of your content for a few years, and you never cease to entertain! I loved songs like "Dream On" and I do have to agree, that little "meep" is hard to catch. Now I gotta re-listen to the song 😂
In ZZ Top´s song "Over you" Billy plays solo, and in second part of that solo he vibrates a note, and the note dies from fret buzz but Billy just keeps working on the string and vibrato. Love that moment, and the end of that solo is also beefy😋

There’s TONS of these everywhere! Ahhhh the joys of LIVE recording. The best take wins EVEN if there’s a fuck up in it. Keeps it alive and interesting.
I don't know if anyone told you this but, the rain song is played in DGCGCD tuning. I always make sure to play the same fuck up as jimmy when I play that song
It definitely sounds like it!! Plus, that's totally something a Canadian goose would do! 😅
The sloppy nature of the song just adds to its charm.
i think the reason people need so many takes to record a part nowadays is because back in the days before digital recording studios, the band would practice their parts before even setting foot in a studio. that's a huge difference from how we usually record today. now we can just record everything without having to worry about the cost of wasted tape or studio time.
I’ve played a d and g barred together on the 12th fret in the song paranoid, ever since I learned it. Now….whats really cool is the loaded c# , 1/2 step, then brought down during the first note of the solo…..trick. Bad ass for the day.
I am indeed impressed that you put on pants, good job Steve.
8:07 awh, Steve actually cares about uss
I always find a Coldplay reference awkward in these videos, because they're my favourite band, yet at the same time Stevie T is my favourite RUclipsr. I don't know where my loyalties lie.
Same, I love Coldplay and don't understand the hate for them! /: But I find Stevie hilarious!
If someone doesn't like the color blue, it doesn't mean it's not a good color ;)
it's so good to be back at your channel❤
In the song serve the servants by nirvana there is a part in the solo where u can hear Kurt coughing
13:11 I think your just naturally funny Steve because I die laughing watching your videos all the time. 😂
1:50 WTF GYAAAAAA.... 💀💀💀💀💀 man is trying to get the deadpool but why he have to start with that scene💀
No supprise cause stevie is like the alternate version of deadpool humour wise
jesus god bro! i thought i was literally the ONLY one who could hear that sour note in Paranoid!!! Thank you for validating that im not COMPLETELY bonkers!
I'm late, but another interesting video idea would be songs that sound like other songs but don't really rip them off. My son noticed that Dream On and Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar share a melody. Have a great day!
Stevie: "They were probably on drugs"
Also Stevie: 13:13
You ALWAYS make me laugh til I cry! Bless you Stevie
4:26 ah yes the strokes
Stevie's favorite band...
Fun trivia: That Creep guitar schmack is the inspiration for The Mighty Mighty Bostones - The Impression That I Get chorus intro, the "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiii never had to knock....."
You have the BEST laugh! I've been playing guitar almost 50yrs (yes I'm old 👵). I really liked this vid a lot. And the fact you also play, quite well I might add, and are able to replicate❤ not just the songs but the oops moments lends credibility and explanations to those that are NOT old helping them to understand ancient recording techniques 😂. That. And the guitarist of old were probably on drugs 💊 😮
Hi! Hope you have been doing well Steve. Herman Lee's "mistake" was pretty awesome! Probably couldn't have planned it to go that way. 😊
Exactly!! Wouldn't have happened if he actually TRIED to break his string!! I wonder if it's ever happened to him live... 🤔
I heard he did 103 takes until the string broke
That was fun!!😄
I agree, they were all most probably wasted in those recordings😆
5:02 That’s pretty much how I practice guitar😆
I’ve always noticed the “Dream On” one, and I kinda liked it - I thought it had character😀
Hey, I know it’s SUPER random, but just out of curiosity: was Charlie Chaplin ever your influence (comedy-wise)? I’m a HUGE admirer of Charlie Chaplin, I’ve seen a lot of his movies more than once, for sure. And when I pay attention to your physical comedy, I sense something slightly “chaplinesque” sometimes...😀
So I'm not the only one who noticed the 'Dream On' mistake!! I thought maybe it was intentional, but the other verses are perfectly normal. 🤔
Good call. I'm a HUGEEE Charlie Chaplin fan. I have his entire collection on DVD! 😂
That note Tommy slid into ended a half step down from what you played, which actually worked
Man that's so fun to watch!🤣 Even my work can wait till I'm done laughing😆
There’s a Staind song where you can hear Jon Wysocki set his drum sticks down. I always loved that stuff. Music comes from people.
0:08 *Falls majestically*
Brian May said to Beato that he listened to Bohemian Rhapsody years later and the guitars at the end sounded sharp next to the piano so he re-recorded the guitar parts.
The Good Riddance one is kinda funny lol
This is the most hysterical video of yours that I have seen so far. I almost wet myself laughing! You’re awesome on the guitar and I love the faces you make. None of this would make sense without the faces! 😂
6:40 It's in an open tuning. that's why he didn't know.
13:18 "What do you guys S T I N K?"
I noticed a mistake from Metallica too back in the day , when I was listening to the call of ktulu , I Always thought my cd has skipped, but at 00:13 you can hear it 🤘💀🤘
This is great Stevie! Had stopped watching your videos because of all the children stuff, but glad that you're back in the rock stuff. Love from india!
2:28 can we talk about the fact that I was literally playing Marvel Strike Force while listening to this? love that game by the way.
7:20 thom did not hate it from the begining
That was Johnny Greenwood
He has ALWAYS hated it
Always will
The whole band hated it when they almost became a one hit wonder
That part sounds like an urban legend. I have heard this many times before. But this noisy stab is right in the style of Jonny Greenwoods guitarstyle. I don't think that he was trying to ruin the song. I think it is a made up story. I think that he was simply trying to put something cool into the song, which he succeeded in
Just came up on my social meeds feed that it’s Billie Joes birthday today, so the thumbnail is perfect, haha! Gotta love him, guitar flubs and all.
No way!!! That is absolutely perfect. I wish I could say that was intentional!! 😂
11:35 - Yeah, so aggressive he grabs his $30,000 guitar by the strings and knees it, snapping it in two !!!
The internet is lucky to have you :D
GREAT VIDEO!! But I'm super surprised you didn't include spirit of the radio by Rush. End of the second measure on the intro right before geddy and Neil join in, Alex falls just shy of his intended fret with his hammer on. Very quick part but very obvious when you listen for it. They usually played the song faster live and he plays it very clean live.
4:58 jennifer's body 99.999999999999% accurate
1:14 sounds like the most active league of legends player meme
I've been a fan of your content for a few years, and you never cease to entertain! I loved songs like "Dream On" and I do have to agree, that little "meep" is hard to catch. Now I gotta re-listen to the song 😂
Stevie, you're literally a GOAT
In ZZ Top´s song "Over you" Billy plays solo, and in second part of that solo he vibrates a note, and the note dies from fret buzz but Billy just keeps working on the string and vibrato. Love that moment, and the end of that solo is also beefy😋
3:14
WAIT STEVE HAS A BASS OMG
1:05=Recorded in 1970, I think we can rule out it being a digital...anything. I think that's actually part of the lick.
Your passion for music and guitars are appreciated. 🖖
Gold star for pants Stevie!
Love your videos too!
Wish you would have done the Nickelback- Photograph mistake. It starts at 0:01 and continues through the rest of the song.
