Does this just help people that have a straight spine? I have a double backwards S shaped curve. My right hip is high and tight and left hip is low and weak. However I have torqued hips and high right shoulder. So I have horrible spasms in the apex of my left mid low back and now having rib pain.
I will be forever greatful for your help and direction. My chiropractor is just ok, but he doesn't go out of his way to realign my whole body. He just asks where I am having trouble.
I am in Lebanon IN. 46052. Are you close or can you help me or refer me. I'm 59.

I love this video! These are the best stretches I've found for my weak hips. I was diagnosed five years ago with weak hips after 3 years of knee pain from a fall. Immediately after beginning strengthening, I had onset of Myasthenia Gravis that lead to years of limited activity and being hunched over from weakness. I have gone to several PTs over the past couple of years, mostly for general strengthening. As my illness has become better managed, over the past 10 months, I have worked with PT specifically on this issue as well as with two different PM&R doctors who made my misalignment worse. The treatment I received eventually lead to my frame being locked into a deformed stature and I could no longer hold my head up without support or pivot my hips. They strengthened me crooked! For months I had to swing my entire body from side-to-side to "walk" or shuffle myself around until I finally went to a chiropractor at the beginning of this years who helped me immensely. Up until then, no one would listen and I was ignored when I told them how bad things had gotten. In the end, I was just told to go back to PT and to do the same stretches that I was doing before, although no one understood why things had gotten so much worse. I was so disgusted. After months of this insanity and being bounced around to different specialists, I did my own research and using the information I provided healthcare providers along with info they had included in their questionnaires. I found out that there are certain parts you are not supposed to work when there's this kind of misalignment, and that's exactly what they kept focusing on. At the beginning of this year, I made it to this awesome Neurology-based Chiropractor. He confirmed what I had researched, finally answered all of my why's and regularly made available research to help me better understand what was happening to me. Although currently I have to wait for insurance in order to complete my chiropractic adjustments, I want and need to do PT in the meantime. However, I'm terrified of going because of so many bad experiences. And I refuse to go back to PM&R. These stretches are the first ones I ever done where I can feel them immediately benefiting the areas with which I am having problems. And none of the recent PT have recommended any of these. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Hi there. I rarely ever post but I just had to this time. You have helped me tremendously to fix an ongoing issue I've had for years. I have some hio and pelvic issues and have been on meds, tried chiro, did PT and to some degree it would help a bit but then the sever pain would just come back at full force leaving me crawling on the floor and unable to do much of anything. You are the first person that I've encounter with these exercises and stretches. I've done them for a week now and I went from the tower of Pisa to feeling a heck of lot more even standing and my pain has gone from a sever 11 to a baby 3. I continue to work on glutes , hip flexors, flexibility and combined I'm feeling more like myself again. Thank you so much for this video. I watch many of your videos and I am so thankful for all this great input. Thank you a million times over 😊

Your timing is impeccable. I have been SUFFERING in excruciating pain for two years in my LEFT groin area and the pain wraps completely around my gluteus maximus and for the last 6 months the pain is now shooting down the front of my thigh and burning inside the hip area. I spent five months at the Las Vegas Pain Clinic and they weren't able to do anything at all to help relieve this pain and I have been trying to get the results of my Imaging for 5 months now. So now I'm looking for a new pain clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada. You are demonstrating some stretches I have not ever seen before and I spend hours every weekend trying to find some way to relieve this agonizing pain in my hip and groin area. Love the way you put your videos together and the Very detailed explanation on how to properly perform these stretches. Can't wait to see the one you did for the psoas release. Yes of course subscribed and thumbs up on every one of your videos.

Chiropractors only do some much you have to strengthen the muscles to keep it in the right place. I’m surprised your chiropractor didn’t give you excercises to do. Mine always tells me what muscles I need to strengthen to help with my uneven pelvis. She adjusts me then explains what’s tight and usually tells me to ice soemthing or be aware of how I move etc.

My condition is the exact opposite..my left hip is lower and it's my strong leg I favor. Right hip sits higher and is my weak side..making that leg seem shorter. Right now my back is semi-out these last few days and I'm stuck leaning to the right when I get up to walk around. Unable to work this week and chiropractor doesn't want to give the adjustments I'm asking for, just more special exercises first. Very frustrating..I appreciate all the advice you are giving here!

Thank you so much for this and the psoas stretch using a chair short video from yesterday! It's helping my stuck pelvis and relieving some pain in my SI joint and unhappy tight QL. I will do more of these and add some split squats too since I feel my hips are also uneven on the vertical axis. Much appreciated 🙏💜

Thank you!! I’ve only gone through the exercises once and I can now sit without feeling like I’m sitting directly on my bone on the left side. I have high hopes this will help me. Now I just have to look to see if you have any of these for thoracic injury and neck injury. Would love to be able to get back to my 2 mile walk again! ❤️ Happy Easter!!

well, probably gonna do all the exercises for the first time on this one, I recently started changing my standing posture a bit to strengthen the weak/untight side and unburden the tight side, feels really good
looking into getting mouse/trackpad combined solution to improve ergonomics and get rid of the mouse as well, mouse is terrible ergonomically

Thank you so much for another informative video Dr. Rowe. I have been struggling and feeling really frustrated with hip issues for so long now. I believe they are the root cause to so many other problems I am having with my calves. I have been focusing attention on the side I believed was the weaker (right), but after going through your video. I can see how my left is the weaker side.
My right side is extremely tight, so much so, that when performing the hip-hike on my left-side. I could feel the tightness over my right hip. No pain, just tightness! I made sure to maintain good posture, engaging the core. The QL stretch felt so good, I could feel it release and tingle throughout my lower back and upper right leg.
I was wondering if this tight right-sided hip could be causing the slight inner knee pain I have been having lately. After sitting at my desk or in a chair for 20+minutes, I start to feel a dull ache in my inner leg all the way to my knee. I believe is emanating from the hip, possibly the sartorius muscle?
Thank you again for a great video :)

Some videos say for SI problems do not do 1 legged excercises putting torsion on SI. I WANT TO DO 1 LEGGED squates because my left thigh is now 2 inches smaller than right leg due to I did not catch I had lack of cartlige in Left hip causing me slowly to favor the right leg until it made a muscle imbalance. I am in good shaper...especially for 58. Can I work on the Left leg twice as much as the Right to get the muscles back to balanced in size?? I VERY MUCH Appreciate your time!!!!!

to get this solid (out of dysfunction ) , you would need to do this daily for several weeks ? then maybe for several times a week. I see a small improvement after the first try of all of them.

On top of having a high hip I also have the foot on that same side tilting outwards. Not both feet (duck feet), just that one. 45 degrees outwards. The broomstick exercise seems very good for me but all the other exercises I can't properly do, because I can't balance my leg on that side. If I straighten that foot out and align it with the other one, my knee caves in extremely.
SpineCare, or anyone else, do you have any advice for me? Or maybe you can even make a future video for people with a high hip, while also having the foot underneath that hip pointing outwards? It prevents me from doing many recommended excercises to tackle a high hip. For now, I will do the broomstick one daily. But I probably need to do more?
