Your video saves my back and hip. I have gone to the chiropractor for years and haven’t done the suggested exercises until now. Since stumbling across this video I am doing them every other day and it helps!
Thank you… The las exercise to reset pelvis helped me greatly. I’ve never been shown that before. As i gently squeezed my legs onto my fists, I felt and heard a small pop in my pelvis. When I got up, my right foot was no longer kicking outward, and walking my right leg did not feel so short. Thank you greatly.

I am a victim to this issue. I fell on my skates and hit the right side of my hip and the problem started from there. I have been on many sites trying to determine which side is high and your instructions were very easy to follow in evaluating which side is high... Thank You.. Thank You!! for this quick step.. I can know move forward on which side to work on.* I also rotate forward on my right hip .. I determine this by placing both feet together and looking straight down at both hips and feet and notice my right hip blocked my vision to see my right foot. I will continue to follow this segment of exercises with no mistakes everyday two time a day and I will report back to you to let you know if this is working for me within a month or two. Can this cause ankle pain? I have this exact issue and have ankle pain, tight hip and tight side of back all on the left side. I've noticed my right hip is higher than my left. This may be the answer for me. I will give this a go and keep on discovering how to fix my ailments. Thank you so much I could cry Right now. The thought of getting just some reassurance and relief from the mental and physical toll this causes me would be amazing!! Your video has made me realise its definitely a hip, knee, ankle issue. All the best, Thank you for your service
Thank you Doc. This was a great help. I had misalligned pelvis and I saw myself in the mirror. There was a very significant curve from neck to belly button. My right side is high. I have terrible pain walking straight. When I walk I have to bend slightly to the left to walk; walking straight will cause pain. I will try your exercise and post my results. Besides, your video is well detailed and full of good tips and demonstration. I do have an appointment day after tomorrow with an Osteopathe. He did fix the same problem 9 years ago. Thank you Doc for sharing. You are a blessing to many people. I liked your video.
Hip came loose the day after during basketball. Knee pain seems to be going away now! Thank you very much. Strungling with knee pain for almost a year.
It makes sense. I'm left-handed, my left hip looks high, right shoulder is high. Right foot hurts from hitting the ground. Also feels like right foot is further in front. Side planks show right side is weaker by far. Stretch on left side sometimes gives a pop. I'm using this, combined with some other RUclips information. Just did your sequence here. Thanks!

Hi. I have a very funny walk (gait abnormality) and it has always drawn a great deal of attention from strangers and family members. I've been laughed at because of this walk, taunted and even, as a teen, have gotten into fights from insecure girls with boyfriends. I literally live in a box because I don't want anyone to see how I walk. Now I'm 65 and still live in a box - a horrible life. Went to the chiropractor, he said I did not have a funny walk because he compared me to people that have real walking problems like a paraplegic or someone who has lost a leg due to cancer. Never judge or compare someone else's journey. Do you think there's a chance your exercises could improve my walk.

Why not adding "Chiropractic On Eagle" to your channel name so more people can find you the search results and get benefited? I have checked out hundreds of channels and you are one of the most trusted professionals out there. All the best!
I really appreciate your feedback and compliments! For some specific condition videos I do list my office name - Chiropractic On Eagle - for other more general videos, I keep it more generic. Best wishes. :)
My brother, when I walk, my pelvis and spine sway and move a lot. What is the reason for your distress? I am tired of bullying. I have not left the house for a year because of bullying. 😢
It was difficult for me to stretch my QL like you showed so I tried something different. I used the same exact principles you showed but did it laying down on a 65cm yoga ball. I felt an intense stretch and was able to breathe and let go. I have a high right side so left side on the yoga ball with the right hip to the ceiling. Just be careful if you think you may roll off. You could use a wall and allow the leg you’re trying to put behind you into a hall way so that your back is against the wall but your leg is free to move behind you.
@@drjonsaunders thank you for this video. Also I’ve never been able to hear a pop to reset my pelvis and would always try the fist between the knees to nothing. I have been working on some foot pain issues and resolved those with physical therapy but my gait changed (for the better) and now I am having hip pain on one side (the side where my foot was hurting), however, my hips appear even. Is it possible they were uneven before and now is corrected but my body must now adjust, meaning the pain is temporary?
I’ve been dealing with this issue for years. I went to PT and got one side all fixed up. Now I’m dealing with the other side and just started seeing a chiropractor with a lot of experience and I’m 5 weeks in (still going weekly) and seeing improvement. My questions are : WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? Is it something in my SI joint ??? This stemmed from an injury I got kickboxing years ago but can’t seem to fully recover. I just want know A) why it is happening/ what exactly is the root of a high hip ? And B) can you ever fully recover from this ? THANK U!
I am dealing with this same problem as yours. My pelvis is high on the right side. I’ve tried everything to make it balance and nothing has worked. I have SI joint pain every day. Im going to chiropractor but I haven’t seen any improvement. Your question about: why is this happening or is it something in my SI joint, I already asked several doctors, PT, chriropractor, but nobody knows how to answer these questions. It seems like a mysterious illness, wich no one knows how to solve. Im already getting used to the idea of living with this nightmare for the rest of my life. If you can get someone to fix your pelvis and SI joint, please message me. My life is a nightmare after all this happening.
Tight hamstrings and tight quadriceps muscles have aggravated my SI joint. My pain is significantly decreased with sitting on a firm chair with a softball 🥎 or lacrosse ball in various place on my upper leg (hamstrings). I simple let my leg rest on the ball for 20-30 seconds at the top, middle & lower thigh positions. Kneeling quad stretch for the front of my thigh. Neither of these should be painful so ease up on the ball or stretch if it is.
Dr. Did some squats and heard a pop. Noticed the hip was misaligned in the mirror and in allot of discomfort, have been doing excorcises for the past hr now no results . Can the hip alignment be fixed immediately or isit a gradual thing ?
My right side of the hip is higher but I barely saw the difference. My body is slanted sideways to the left, just enough to cause discomfort mostly on my left shoulder blade which appears to be a bit hunched or sticking out more than the right, and experience pain sometimes if I sit for long periods of time. One very noticeble thing is the anterior pelvic tilt and can I still do daily homeworkout exercises for chest, glutes and abs or go to the gym and still do these exercises to fix my problem? And also thank you very much for showing us these exercises.

Thiught uou may like to see what me a 59 year old is exoeriencing.... Excellent. Finally someone talking about exactly what I'm experiencing. Would be great if can explain why as stand up straight more from years of being slightly hunched over without knowing it and rebalance my body there's a numbness in my sacroiliac area and a numbness in my glute and the side of my leg as I finally stand straight on that side and can all this be reversed? .... and how or is it a "Quada Equina" thing involving nerves bundle issues that may need surgery ? ....Or even quada equina nerve bundle issues severity can be naturally reversed through heat and ice standing erect and stretching? Also would be great if you could explain what's going on internally (where what joints(sacroiliac?) and muscles) when a lumbar numbness and an inability or reduced ability to push out colon for bowel movement (pre incontinence) due to hunched locked forward lean posture occurs and can this or should this inability to push BM (pre incontinence) be remedied in time by finally standing up erect (even on the toilet) with no pain and ability to reach back and be standing straight with zero pain?

Hello Doktor, My right glute, IT Band, right low back till my right shoulder has been tight for 10 years and today is the worst days of my life. My right hip is not moving free and I have neck pain on right side, it obvious from the first look my pelvis is distorted and twisted. I have been health until ten years ago when injured myself during heavy lifting in work. I have been doing body weight squats and some leg exercises for 4 months but there is no progress. I'm now in refugee camp where makes a bit harder to reach a proper health care. I hope you can give some advice. Thank you so much
I’m confused. One exercise you demonstrated shows thrusting the high hip higher. That’s just the opposite of every exercise I’ve seen. Wouldn’t you want to elevate the low hip? My right hip looks like hour glass figure while the left side looks like I did when I was 12 years old. No curves! 😩
The only way to truly know the cause and the correction is a pelvic xray that includes the hips for an accurate measurement...it can be confusing when trying to explain which muscles need to be activated and where you should be feeling it...best wishes!
During the last exercise my left hip gives me the most pain. So when I push my knee towards myself on the left side I get pain. Also when I put my knuckles in between I get pain in like the front left area. That’s weird though because I usually have most my pain on my right side. Lower right back and all around around to my front right all pain. Do you know if the left pain is consistent with a right high pelvis? I think my right is higher but I’m not completely sure. I just know my hips and pelvis cause me a lot of pain 😢
Hi hope you can answer me 😔. My hips are uneven , been like that for 10 years , now I can’t bend my right leg ( high hip ) . Do you think that can be fixed ?
First, I always recommend speaking to your doctor to make sure any stretch or exercise will be ok for you...however you could try the stretch gently and see how you feel...unfortunately while you cannot "cure" scoliosis there is help available to sometimes reduce it and reduce the discomfort associated with it...best wishes.
What about a hip that tilts forward and the other backwards twisting everything, I have done all these and gave relief for 15 min then muscles tighten and keep the hip that is out locked.

I wish I could offer you some advice, but without examining you, I am unable to offer any specific advise. Best wishes.
Another good way to stretch it! Thanks for watching.
@@drjonsaunders thank you for this video. Also I’ve never been able to hear a pop to reset my pelvis and would always try the fist between the knees to nothing. I noticed I was always resting my head and upper back and instead engaged my core and lifted my head slightly off the mat while squeezing and voila I got a nice pop the first try.
@@VireIIa111 Boom! :)
Hi
I have a higher hip on my right side. I have pain all the way to my foot. I'm excited to try these as they are different than anything I have tried and I'm so hopeful. I have a question, how many times a day should I do these?
Start with 12 reps of each exercise and work up...all the best!
Doc, can a high hip cause vertigo or dizziness? Thanks for the video!
Typically no.
Doc, is uneven pelvis could lead to imbalance and difficulty walking ?
It can if it is significant...all the best!
Should this be a everyday thing
Yes, until you are able to notice a consistent change. Best wishes.
Can you do a video for a pelvis that seems even height wise but one side pulls forward way more than the other side?
Will add to my list of future videos. :)
How does this problem happen? thank you for your exercises. Easiest and best explained so far of all the vids I’ve watched on this subject.
Glad it helped and thanks for your support!
Hi Dr , my right leg is shorter than the left one and I have pain in my low back so please which exercise it will be good for that. Thank you appreciate it.
This video should help, however if you have a true structural short leg, you may need a heel lift accommodation. Please see your doctor.
I have a broken femur. What extra help do I need? Have been in PT for 28 weeks and still have the hip hike
I'd start with a hip/pelvis x-ray to get a proper leg length measurement.
My surgical report said I retained near perfect anatomical alignment and it was the neck of the femur, not the long bone.
Leg lift excersize was unclear which leg you are asking to lift, the side with the pain or the opposite side. Just because the word opposite was used but both sides were being discussed
Sorry, it's hard to explain...will try and do a better job in a new video.
I just wished he would have taken a picture of his whole body.
Hi Doc. I have started with these exercises. Can you please let me know how many repetitions should i go with that Bonus exercise?
3 to 5 reps is a good place to start. Best wishes!
Thank you doc!!
Also I have a difference of 8 mm leg discrepancy. How long will it take for me to get normal?
And can you tell me do I need to do it daily?
hello, thank you for your informative video! How long should one continue with doing these exercises? It is good advice to exercise this sequence of exercises 2 or 3 times per week?
Yes at minimum - 5 days/week.
I'd love to give you an answer, but it is hard to say without seeing you before and after. Best wishes.
THANK U!
There is always a cause...would need x-rays to help diagnose...please direct those questions to your chiropractor. All the best!
It depends, if you heard a pop, probably best to see your health provider to determine the cause. Best wishes.
Thank you Dr. Jon, l have a question please help me; how about times doing it in a day ( one time aday or more) and is it daily routine.
Yes you could do routine 2/day. All the best!
Can a flat foot on one side cause the uneven hips?
Yes.
I hope if you work through this video it will provide you with some help - best wishes.
I had spine surgery c4c5c6 fusion.
Was not able to walk for few weeks. After rehab and physical therapy I have been able to walk but left leg is weak and I limp due to the fall. Is chiropractic can help?
The only way to know would be to get an examination at your local chiropractic office. Best wishes.
M on bed for last 16months..l4 l5 S1 disc bulge....tight si joint ...hip socket dislocation of left side ....no treatment..no one could find any solution till date ....m very upset could you help me...
I'm sorry to hear this - I'd have to examine you to know how to best help you. www.chirofirst.ca
Thank you for this video. Very helpful.
Below is a cut and paste comment i made on pain from standing up with locked forward lean posture from sitting in a chair.
Cauda Equina Syndrome is an emergency and shouldn't be ignored...if you have any symptoms, please go to the ER. Take good care.
Dear Professor thanks for your video..I have a lumbar scoliosis and leaning to right when walking and my right leg is 1 cm shorter than left one. I wonder that if this exercise helps with my situation..
It very well could, however, if you have a structural short leg, you may need a heel insert.
@@drjonsaunders A Final question professor, leaning to right means that ı have a high hip on the right side or on the left side?also my right leg is 1 cm shorter than other one.

i had scoliosis surgery about 3 years ago and it made my hips more uneven, would these exercises still work on me
Hard to say, but best to ask your surgeon.
My right hip is high I had scan to make sure legs same length. I noticed right side is tight and high. Left side is weak just making sure. If right side is high do only do side planks on left side or do I stretch right side and side plank that side too. Sorry for question I just want to make sure I am doing this right. It's been 3 years trying to figure this out.
Yes you can stretch the opposite side as well.
've been suffering from a dislocated left hip since birth. I underwent surgery at the age of 7, and it turned out that my left leg was 1.7 cm longer. Now I suffer from weakness and atrophy in the muscles of his left seat and thigh. I am embarrassed by the difference in muscle size. I am now 28 years old. I don't know the cause of atrophy. Please advise and guide me
Sorry to hear this...without knowing your case and examining you, it is not possible for me to help...I recommend you find a good DC or PT to guide you....best of luck!
Hello! I have a question. My arms aren't long enough to place between my knees while my feet are planted on the floor. Is it ok to lift my feet and then do the squeeze with my fists? Your help is appreciated. Thank you! Donna
Yes you can!
Hello doctor, I suspected that I have this uneven hips starting when I was 25 years old. It's so painful in my waist. i tried this demonstration you have and I quite feel good after a minute. will this fix? I keep on wearing insole just not to get hurt during my work..
It may help you, however if it persists, please see your doctor.
Do you have a video about how to correct rotated hips? That’s my problem. My right hip is rotated forward and causes IT band problems.
No, but I will add it to my list of future videos. :)
Thank you. It could help many viewers.
My hip has been prone to misaligning due to a couple spills. Im 27. I try these to no success 😢 A chiropractor fiixed it in one visit before. Wyoming DOT doesnt believe in salting walking areas at state facilities. Dang black ice.
Happy to hear...stay well!
Hello Doc, is it possible to have higher hips on the left side and the left leg can still be the weaker leg?
Yes for sure...best way to know however is an xray for proper measurement.
So since my left lower back is a bit sore and I’m gaining more muscle on the same side then my right, does that mean my pelvis is tilted to the right?
Possibly, but without see you I cannot say for sure. Thanks for watching!
Merci
Welcome!
Hello Doktor,
My right glute, IT Band, right low back till my right shoulder has been tight for 10 years and today is the worst days of my life.
Thank you so much
I would love to help you but unfortunately without examining you I cannot give you any specific advice. Best wishes.
Sir my right femur external rotated & fibula &tibia internally rotate &left pelvis is higher can this is also corrected by this excercise
Honestly would need to see/examine you to determine best way to correct.
I got into a snowmobile accident in 2020 and for about 17 months didnt notice how bad my high hip became. Im 18 years old and just want to fix this
I hope this video helps!
Can this cause upper back tightness and head tension?
Yes it can over time.
Doc I’ve been having pains on my hip and now I’ve developed lower hip on my right side the stiffness I can’t wildly open my legs
It may be a good idea to see your doctor for an x-ray of your hips and pelvis.
Do i need to quit the gym inorder to see results?
Not at all...keep exercising!
@@drjonsaunders thanks Doc!!!
my right hip is a little higher than left side my feet isn't higher only hip , how often should i do this exercise?
You can do it up to 3 times per day.
@@drjonsaunders thank u soo much😊☺
Thanks my son left lega shot plaz solution
I hope he finds my video helpful!
On the plank exercise is the low hip closet to the mat?
You got it!
Does going to gym can cause more misalignment?
Not particularly, but exercising when you are out of alignment may cause pain.
@@drjonsaunders Thank you sir😊
During the last exercise my left hip gives me the most pain. So when I push my knee towards myself on the left side I get pain. Also when I put my knuckles in between I get pain in like the front left area.
That’s weird though because I usually have most my pain on my right side. Lower right back and all around around to my front right all pain.
Do you know if the left pain is consistent with a right high pelvis? I think my right is higher but I’m not completely sure. I just know my hips and pelvis cause me a lot of pain 😢
It could be as you may be putting more weight through the left side...all the best.
Hi hope you can answer me 😔. My hips are uneven , been like that for 10 years , now I can’t bend my right leg ( high hip ) . Do you think that can be fixed ?
Hard to say without seeing you and an x-ray, please have your doctor assess to see the cause of your problem.
thanks man you really helped me. I have a question,
does it affect my height if I'm growing?
It may, please seek the help of your doctor.
How much Will take a time to fix it????
It depends on the cause, please ask your doctor.
i cant do the side plank with legs straight, is the bent knee version good too?
Yes!
So how do I know what side is tilted
Having a standing low back/pelvis xray is the best way to determine.
hi i am a hair stylist and i feel i have a shoter leg is there something i can do for that ?
It depends on whether it is a structural short leg or if it's functional...you really need specific x-rays to know for sure.
Sir, I hv scoliosis..shud I try this..is scoliosis curable??? It gives pain everyday
Thank you but my right shoulder is higher with my right pelvic pls how can I fix it
Will have to do a future video on that! Best wishes.
In how many days it can be recover
Plz tell.me
4-6 week to a noticable change...all the best!
What about a hip that tilts forward and the other backwards twisting everything, I have done all these and gave relief for 15 min then muscles tighten and keep the hip that is out locked.
I think it may be time to see a professional to offer some more specific help...best wishes!
Doc, i had accident on my right leg when I was young
My legs are straight but I notice I always stand on my right leg, putting more pressure on my right leg
Now I’m 18
I just started doing exercise and I noticed my left hip and butt is coming out while my right hip and butt is not
How can I fix that ?
I'd suggest you get an xray to determine if you have a leg length inequality.
@@drjonsaunders no, my legs are straight
It’s just the pressure and my bad posture that affect my right leg
I want to know if these exercises will fix it 🥺
