I bought the Pixel 6 256GB after trading in my OnePlus 8T and Galaxy s21 Ultra. This phone has to honestly be one of the best Android phones I have had in a long time. So I appreciate the review you did on these phones, thank you. Keep doing a great job.
@@yitziyyb yes because of size and pure google functionality. The Ultra is good in its own right. But if you want pure Google and don’t want to pay an arm & leg for it then you go the Pixel 6. If you have money to burn then go Ultra. My other thing is the color hue is slightly off on Samsung phones and that is really annoying in its own right.
I switched to Pixel 6 after 4 months using the S21 all due to battery. S21 is good in general but not being able to last 1 day is really annoying. In terms of photos, from what I've seen so far, Pixel 6's treatment of figures is astonishing (not in portrait mode), level of detail is excellent. But I do like S21's natural color when it comes to natural scenery, yet to be tested with Pixel 6
When the Pixel 6 came out, I was all in. But the more I think about it and how the S21 is as good as, the more I want to wait to see how the S22 will be.. I'm currently rocking a S10 which I like a lot but an update will happen soon.. if the S22 is not it, I'll gladly pick up the S21 because, and I don't believe I'm going to say that, I like several samsung apps a lot 🤣
I went Pixel 6 Pro, and I regret it. The fingerprint reader is horrid, no face unlock either so I'm annoyed. It wasn't worth $899 imo, the regular Pixel 6 is not a bad value at all, just annoying that it's 90hz screen instead of 120hz. Otherwise I would've just went for that.
@@tcc5750 im very sorry to read that. I acknowledge that the pixel camera is awesome and I'm not sure I would notice the difference between 120hz and 90hz but back than, when I changed from the iPhone X plus to the S10, I really enjoyed several samsung functions and how the phone simply works. And of course all Google services too. I just hate Bixby and hoped that the Google assistant was standard for the S10 (I use Google assistant but it is not the same as when native for the phone). Thanks a lot for your feedback! 😁
I'm literally on the same line of thinking as you! I was ecstatic about the Pixel drops this year, but after watching all these reviews and hearing about One UI 4...I'm like, if the S22 is all that and a bag of chips then sign me up! I've seen a number of reviews that say putting a screen protector on the pixel 6 somehow diminishes the fingerprint reader. I've had my pixel 6 for a few days now and I'mabsolutely loving it. I've also added a pixel TPU case in light rain which is kind of translucent so you can see some of the colours on the back of the pixel 6.

Went to Google 6 yesterday from note 10 plus. Yes, there's a huge difference in both and I do miss using the note because of the expandable storage. I use to have the pixel 2xl and it was awesome, made me miss the pixel so I got the 6, it's so much smoother than the note, the pixel still has some glitches here and there. Because it still a really new phone and came out a month ago. Can't wait to see what pixel will do for the 6
@@iamhueyjohn it's really all on the preference, I had the note 10 plus before I got the G6. Yes, there's some disadvantages with the G6 compare to the note 10. The note had more memory options, even has an SD card option for more storage, which the G6 doesn't have. But if you like the pure Android software, which I like personally, go for it. You're just not going to have all of the features the note 10 has.
How about the battery life and charging speeds? And that finger print reader? I have the note 10 plus, exynos and battery sucks, i dont use the spen much and i think a smaller phone is better ergonomically.
I have been using the Pixel 6 since launch day and I gotta say it's a solid allrounder phone for a fair price. I am especially surprised by its great battery life. The screen, rear cameras and stock Android are also great of course. Now what I don't like are the speakers and the front camera. I have been using a Pixel 3 since almost exactly 3 years as my daily driver and it sounds so much better, especially with its much much fuller bass and front facing speakers. Also I really would have preferred Google had resisted the trend of making phones bigger and bigger, the Pixel 3 is just so much easier to use with one hand. But oh well, guess we'll have to wait some years until the marketing bozos will decide that compact phones are chic again.
Upgraded to pixel 6 from a pixel 3 xl It is smooth and fast with a good display and the battery doesn't drain like crazy when watching videos Literally watched a 10 minute RUclips video and my battery didn't drop 1 percent Great phone If the 6 is this great the pro must be a beast
Thanks for the review. I would personally liked to see the camera comparison photos side by side instead of one after the other. And also your input on which photo looks closer to the correct colors.

I have the S21. I am very intrigued and hyped by the Pixel 6 marketing, so I almost bought one. But it was out of stock so that forced me to take a chill pill. It’s then that I realized my S21 is better than the Pixel 6 in almost every way…so in the end I decided to save the money.
most users will say "well i shouldn't have to do that", but one of the things i do is add the same finger a couple of times to fingerprint ID. doing this alone improves the fingerprint read by leaps and bounds.
As a longtime Samsung user, I was comparing exactly these two phones so thanks for the review! In the end, the S21 just tipped it for me, with the phone size, selfie cam and gaming capability, but you're right, I still wish I could opt out of the samsung guff. I guess watch this space in a week or two to see if I think i made a mistake 😅
Honestly seems like most of the losing critiques of the pixel is actually resolved by the pixel pro... like refresh rate, telescopic lens, chip set etc etc and I believe it still comes in cheaper than the s21 so while I appreciate looking at the non-pro version it would have been a good disclaimer.
Sorta seafoam is the best color for the Pixel 6. Very classy. That color won't show smudges on a glossy finish. I love my foldable flip phones. Can use both for the next 5 to 8 years. Save thousands by not always upgrading.
depending on where you live, you can always buy a new phone on a very good offer then sell it a month or two before the successor. doing this, I usually "lose" approximately 100€ a year but always using a new flagship phone
I got a Samsung galaxy s21 in phantom grey for only $240 Canadian after discounts for Black Friday sales. Incredibly cheap and impossible to not take that deal at the time. I really didn’t even consider a Google phone but I have to be honest when I saw it in the store it looked and felt great. I was tempted but knew nothing about Google phones.
I don't even have to think about it....I prefer Samsung phones and yeah I use their services like the dialer, messages, email and galllery which offers a bundle of editing tools.....I use Google maps and Google assistant too but I can't stand their messaging app. Besides Samsung phones are meant tp link beautifully to Windows laptops and their apps are ideal for that....
I recently bought a galaxy s21 Exynos version since pixels are not available in my country. This has some really good cameras, but the phone does heat up quite a bit even after 5-10 minutes of gaming.
My friend has a Pixel 6 and always uses so many cool features that I wish apple had in debating weather to upgrade to a 13 pro or the pro version of the pixel 6🤷♂️
Great video. Both phones are great high quality choices. In my case One UI has grown into me after 3 Samsung phones (the Samsung Notes built-in app is irepaceable) so to me Samsung has the edge. However i do hate the short battery life, and have had to learn battery saving to last all day. Thumbs up Samsung, Google and Tech Spurt.
I’m a Samsung fan but I’ve always wanted to try a pixel and they have always fallen short however this year If I was looking I would for sure get the pixel over the galaxy.
See that's where I'm torn. Right now I'm still using my S10+ and it's still running smoothly. If I upgrade it might be the Pixel 6 Pro finally or S22U. I can't decide. Even the S21U is a solid device
@@eligo6519 the release cycle for s series is 1 year which makes it 3 months left until next launch, that's why the price won't be too yet as it's still the latest Samsung S series phone on the market, until the S22 is officially out, the price would still be holding for the next 3 months. Another factor is the warranty, the device isn't covered by international warranty, if you get the S21 from abroad you can find it in the 450pounds range, but where I am in Asia with warranty 500 pounds is the lowest it gets, also Pixel is quite hard to find here.

I haven't seen an S21 for $749 in Australia, certainly not the S21 5G model which is $1249 at most stores (JB, Good Guys etc). Having said that, on a plan with Optus, both phones are exactly the same price.

Well this is the point, until Samsung stop short changing European customers with Exynos I am tempted to move to the Pixel (currently have an S10). Exynos just doesnt hold the same performance in terms of power or indeed battery life.
@@glostergloster6945 Same, i'll be getting Pixel 6, because Samsung give people exynos, which stutters and heats a lot, you could see if you played pubg for an example, you would still have frame drops even if you played at smooth/extreme graphics and it would still have frame drops, while on the other hand google tries to optimize tensor as much as they can.

Black friday is coming,,, also 2 weeks ago best buy had the oneplus 9 pro for $800 and right now they have the normal 9 for $600, tmobile has it for $750. they might get other phones on deals too, so id keep an eye on best buy,.. this deals are for just the unlocked phone.
I'm so happy I chose to leave Samsung. I hate all the bloat, unneeded apps, the advertising forced on a phone I spent $750 on. Google is a better value, better experience, and that's all I want.
The Pixel 6 should have been the size of the S21 and the display of the Pixel 5.
I love your reviews! Where do you get those awesome wallpapers ?
I bought the Pixel 6 256GB after trading in my OnePlus 8T and Galaxy s21 Ultra. This phone has to honestly be one of the best Android phones I have had in a long time. So I appreciate the review you did on these phones, thank you. Keep doing a great job.
Really better than S21 ultra?
@@yitziyyb yes because of size and pure google functionality. The Ultra is good in its own right. But if you want pure Google and don’t want to pay an arm & leg for it then you go the Pixel 6. If you have money to burn then go Ultra. My other thing is the color hue is slightly off on Samsung phones and that is really annoying in its own right.
@@jtkoppa3492 what about the camera?

I switched to Pixel 6 after 4 months using the S21 all due to battery. S21 is good in general but not being able to last 1 day is really annoying. In terms of photos, from what I've seen so far, Pixel 6's treatment of figures is astonishing (not in portrait mode), level of detail is excellent. But I do like S21's natural color when it comes to natural scenery, yet to be tested with Pixel 6
What about video quality and longevity I have pixel 4A and the quality is 💩💩💩 even says to hot 🔥 when running videos when it's barley hot
how is it going so far?
@@tcc5750 hardly feel any difference between 90hz and 120hz both very smooth
Other than that, I'm quite tempted to pick up an S21 Ultra (quite the investment) 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I also had an iPhone 12 pro, and ended up going back to my Galaxy Note 10 lol, at the moment I'm in the market for an upgrade but super willing to wait for other drops!
It's absolutely a shite fingerprint reader and ridiculous there's no face unlock to combat it. Feels like I'm using a phone from 4 years ago that weighs a brick
Not impressed with my Pixel 6 so far. The fingerprint reader is sh*t. I put a screen protector on... The reader doesn't work.

Of course but S21 lost too much Note 20 Ultra much better
