But he did take a break, for like 2 years or something. :P I listened to some songs on Born And Raised and I can tell you right now that it will be one of John's greatest achievements in his career. He admitted it was his favourite album. For a musician? That's hard, you have to KNOW it's true to say that. So anyway, long story short. John is back. And he looks a bit like Johnny Depp too . . .
His greatest years were difinitely '05-'09. I don't think he'll ever recreate such awe inspiring musicianship, writing, bandsmanship... Unless he takes a massive massive break from the scene. Just my point...I totally expect to get bashed for this... :-/

I am a superfan who typically think John Mayer can do no wrong but this entire concert was horrible. I watched it live on uStream and at times it was hard to listen to. He had to have been drunk. Every single melody was butchered at some point. The Adam Duritz school of live performances.
