As a fellow collector and original generation fan of the Beatles, it's so nice and cool to see young people who carry on the love of the FAB 4. Great job, young man...very nice collection.
I have the first album meet the Beatles. Mine is in mono. I believe they were all sold out of stereo and I was so desperate for the album I took the mono. It cost me $3.57 plus tax, I know because I keep the original cellophane wrappers on all my albums. I’ll be 72 next month. Sam I love your video, stay young stay happy and enjoy life because it goes by in the blink of an eye.😊❤
as i usually say! The Beatles werent just a band, they were a fucking Miracle. we will talk about them the next 300 years, the same way we talk about mozart and Beethoven today
Some very nice Beatles vinyl rarities in your collection! You sure are very knowledgeable of the various Beatles pressings. You probably know more than some of the most popular and much older Beatles youtubers! I'm impressed!
Very nice items you showed. The Beatles vs The Four Seasons LP usually has writing on the back due to people checking off their favorite songs. The poster is hard to come by,only seen one once at a record show.Great video and thanks.
You sure did start of with a rare good one !!!! It is a lot of fun to look for these and you do have some very nice examples here !!! . great to see your rare Beatles vinyl !!!! Thanks for showing them !!! And Rock on Beatles :").
the hole punches are because u could put your albums in a 2 ring binder like a school notebook, then you could open the binder and flip thru the albums.to do that u had to have holes punched. they were awful. my brother had one but I refused lol
Thanks so much…your vid has helped me sort thru the junk to find the one or two gems in my Beatles collection…and my friends back in the 60’s thought I was nuts to buy those imported albums at such high prices…like $8.00 each !!!
Good work, fella.Bear in mind that mostly prices quoted assume mint condition. Also should invest in new none paper inner sleeves.Keep paper ones as well, though. Also serious collectors keep records in inner sleeve, but outside cover
Tip from a fellow Beatles collector: If you store your records on the outside of the cover, you will have less ringwear on them. You have a nice collection!
@@samoset4_beatlesvinyl644 Wow i really enjoyed that review. Quite collection you have. Wish i could go back to 1964 Beatle concert take you with me . Your lot what kids used to be. If you're using HDPE sleeves on your jackets and LPs to prevent friction and storing them upright in a way they're not literally wedged in ringwear shouldn't an issue. Ringwear mostly comes from jackets that are unsleeved being stacked or crammed really tight into a space.
Pressure is the biggest problem as mentioned. I definitely do keep them on the outside with 60’s Capitol sleeves because they’re very prone to splitting.
Wow Veejay Beatles vs Four Seasons is very rare. It's nice . Take care that all records and memorabilia my friend. Your so lucky. I have only 2009 box set but that's all. 👍👍

I would say for where I live (USA) it would be rare for me to find a first pressing without going online. I think the stereo version would be a little more expensive and harder to find than the mono version. But if your record is in really nice shape and a first pressing from 1964, then I would think it would be a very nice piece for any Beatles collection! From my quick research on Discogs I'd say it would be a $50-$100 album depending on condition. Hope this helps!
I dont even like the Beatles (1 single Beatles record in my collection) but I’m impressed with your collection. Never even heard of that Beatles vs the four seasons.
HI, Just a little tip, buy some anti-static inner sleeves, put the cover in the PVC sleeve put the paper inner sleeve at the back of the PVC cover put the vinyl in the anti-static sleeve and put that at the back of the PVC cover, pulling records in and out of a paper inner sleeve will put small scratches on the vinyl, so main cover, paper original, anti-static saves a lot of heartache in years to come
I've been looking into getting some anti static inner sleeves, at least for some of my nicer albums, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thanks for the tip!
Nice to see a young one collecting The Beatles. I started collecting in 1972 at age 14 just two years after they split up. No one was collecting Beatles yet. They became sought after John Lennon's murder, that's when it exploded. I like your imports. I started buying all the UK releases in the late seventies because they sounded a lot better than Capitol releases and released the way they were supposed to be unlike Capitol ripping fans off giving you only 11 tracks on each lp up through Revolver. Then I found out German issues on the Oden label sounded a little better then the UK ones so I bought all of those then in the eighties I bought all of the Japanese that were really clean sounding but a little bit too much treble and not much bass though. Over all the German presses sound the best. I still have them all and they're all in NM condition. Now for American releases, I have a 1st Stereo Butcher in its original plastic bag as I call it, this was before shrink wrap, it's literally like a loose plastic bag and its pristine and the only reason it's NM is because it was opened. The record could not hsve been played more than once, it's perfect. What makes mine even more special is thar it has a Sears price sticker on it. We now know that Sears pulled these of the shelf after only one day across the nation and these are virtually impossible to find. I got this at a Pittsburgh record shop in 1988 for $2,000 and that was a lot of money back then. Also have a mono 1st state that I got from a school buddies older sister for 10 dollars. Have both stereo abd mono 2 state pasteover covers in NM and one 3rd state perfectly peeled stereo Butcher. I have all of the Vee Jay Lp's including 12 variations of Introducing The Beatles. Also the one that's as desireable as a 1state Stereo Butcher, "The Beatles And Frank Ifield On Stage" portriat cover. Every 45 and Ep's and all picture sleeves and all Capitol Pomo copies also. Yeah dude, over 51 years I put together a lot of stuff. Back in the seventies you could buy this stuff for a few dollars. Peace ❤
Just putting this out there that if you're looking for another obscure Beatles grail, I do have a 1st Greek pressing of Rubber Soul with the alternate champagne cover. Supposedly only 300 copies with that cover were made, apparently either Lennon or McCartney found the cover "distasteful" and had them recalled or something.
I have a double album compilation album called Rock and Roll Music. It was only pressed between 1975 to 1980 and on the label it has a glass of Coke I’m assuming is the drink. It has never been pressed after 1980 but was broken up into 1 to 3 single albums I think but it seems to be worth nothing compared to other Beatles records and it blows my mind. I believe it should be worth decent money. I also got that Hey Jude album which is a compilation of singles both A and B sides. Mine is in near mint condition but isn’t the shiny one. I bought it because I like all the songs. George’s song Old Brown Shoe, Paperback Writer, Hey Jude plus a lot more. This was turned into those Black and White covers the title is escaping me now but I’d love to get a butcher covered Yesterday and Today.
How the heck did you get that "The Beatles HOttest Hits"?...wow...i love it...great collection, its great seeing young guys like you into the best group ever...good luck on the rest of your collecting!
Thank you! I kept an eye out for the hottest hits album on eBay ever since I knew about it. One popped with a pretty decent staring price and I ended up as the highest bidder. I guess it flew under the radar and I got lucky.
Re your White Album poster , I believe there are 2 examples of censorship on the USA poster over our U.K. poster , the first being the cartoon image as you pointed out and the second being the naked “peek-a-boo” photo of Paul where you can see his pubic hair (just about) on the U.K. , but it’s brushed out on the USA poster.... Also for completeness sake the 4 photos initially had a single protective white waxed sheet that covered the front photo to save it rubbing against the inside sleeve in transit ....these are difficult to find as they often got discarded as soon as it got home....
You obviously take great care of your LP's. If I could offer a tip though: learn how to remove a record by not pinching the edge. The way I have done it for over 50 years is: from inner sleeve (removed from the cover) insert hand, putting middle finger on the hole, thumb on the edge and carefully pull the inner sleeve away. Put away in reverse fashion. You will never have to touch the grooves again. hth!
I could add that when removing a record with poly lined inner sleeves, you can position your hand and pull the (inner) sleeve away. Paper sleeves, you want to do what I said above. Try it, I'd love to hear some feedback!
With The Beatles is a first stereo but with a later cover, which is not the first - so a mismatch that's been switched along the way. You can't cite values for bootleg records. I don't care what some ahole is asking for on discogs. They are worthless, except the music might be ok. The BEATLES isn't really 'the'white album', but it's nicknamed that. A low number is worth more to collectors.
