Time Takes Time is an excellent album by Ringo from 1992. Found a sealed copy on vinyl last year at a record show and my friend bought it for me for my birthday.
My favorite part of having a vinyl collection is the smell. There is nothing like the smell of old vinyl and vintage album covers. I don't have a record collection anymore but I will always remember that smell and can almost smell it at will when I'm reminiscing. I feel the same way about books and comics.
I started putting all my 12 inch records on 7 feet high shelving units in a two-sided, 10 feet long aisle in the basement. It smells like a used record store there, I love it!
Loved seeing this. I got into collecting Beatles records this year and I've got pretty much all the Capitol stuff. I prefer original pressings and don't have any of the newer pressed stuff. I'll take my beat up copy of Revolver over the new mixes. Just a preference (and, frankly, cheaper). I DO now have several copies of different albums. If I find one in better condition I pick it up (if it's in my price range). Most I've spent is $30 and that was a for a couple plate original Sgt. Pepper's that's in very good condition. These aren't an investment or anything. They pressed millions and millions of Beatles records. I enjoy having them to listen to. It's like being in a time machine when I put on a record pressed 50 years ago or more. Knowing the copy I have could've been the copy I would have had at the time were I alive to buy it. Thanks for sharing your collection! I really enjoy your channel and your presentation. I hope to be watching for years to come!
Personally, I LOVE used records. I like to imagine them being played in the day, and it’s good to know that I am looking after them for the original owner.
Respect, very cool collection with some rarely seen items! My Beatles collection has an Discogs average of 3,000+ € (ca. $3,500). All media, mainly vinyl. No solo Beatles included. My greatest pride: each UK 45 as first pressing.
Fab collection! Nice mixture of imports, US and limited editions. As a 1st gen Beatles fan/collector there are ALWAYS spaces to fill! Keep up the good work.
You say it isn't much of a cellection, but it's a really great collection! Butcher cover? Third Man Pressing of McCarney 3?! German Magical Mystery Tour?
It’s refreshing to see a video about how one can appreciate ‘ordinary’ or ‘common’ records. So much airtime is given to limited editions and rarities. Probably 90% of my records are easy to find, and I don’t love them any less.
The two volume Rock And Roll Music is basically the reissue of the double album version, for those who couldn’t afford the double set. I got the set in reissue form for Christmas 1981.
Nice video and collection. I have most of those myself, plus many more. My parents bought me the almost entire USA Beatles albums back in 1978/79 (whatever was available locally). What a fantastic gift! That is when I started collecting. My brother got a JCPenny MCS stereo system with a cassette recorder and turntable at the same time. Of course I recorded all of them on cassette and listened to them until I wore them out. Three years ago, I got back into vinyl. I have over 200 Beatles albums that has only been played once or not at all. Many of them were still sealed. I have been recording all them in 24/96 and they mostly sound so good! I had the foresight back then to store them all in heavy sleeves so they were all mostly dust free. I have since re-packaged them all with poly-lined sleeves and newer heavier outer sleeves.
Love this channel! Thank you for the music room visit! I got one for you. Velvet Underground Closet Mix versus Velvet Underground Other Mix. I would love to know the differences and your preference. Or maybe I'll do it! Just kidding. I'm not set up for video right now. Blessings anyway!
I too am an avid Beatles vinyl collector. I bought the red box mono British lp collection when it was released 'n was surprised to discover Sgt. Pepper's is indeed mono on side 1 but side 2 is stereo! Betcha that's a rare collector's item now...
Nice to see a Canadian Twist & Shout LP on there, the three Canadian LPs are fun to own, and you can usually find '60s copies in decent shape for not too much money. It's cool to hear UK mixes on North American, rainbow-label vinyl from the '60s, they're not eq'd or reverb'd like the U.S. LPs. Beatlemania! With the Beatles is basically With the Beatles, and Long Tall Sally has that alternate universe artwork taken from The Beatles' Second Album in the States. Too bad Capitol Canada had to fall in line with the U.S. versions after that.
Very nice collection, I am just starting to re buy Beatle's albums after (like a lot of people) sold them when c.d.s came out . I am up to S.G.T. Pepper and your opinions on various cuttings is very helpful.
"Oh, this is that infamous Plastic Ono Band Live Peace in Toronto 1969 (wink), if you know it, you know it." Yoko, your thoughts? "AAAAHHH-WAAAAHH-OHHH-AAAHHHH-AYYYYY-AHHHH"
Great stuff. i have a lot of beatles albums, mostly just the normal us ones all on the rainbow label. I watch a lot of different videos on many different subjects, but I've been watching you since Dino Desi and Billy video. idk how many years ago that was, but a long time i loved you always picked pretty obscure albums to review.. 😁
Great collection! I’m in awe of all the albums and solo albums of The Beatles that you have. Rock ‘n Roll Music Vol.2 was my introduction to The Beatles because I wanted to hear Revolution which I first heard on that infamous shoe commercial. I’ll have to watch the videos you did about the Mobile Fidelity Beatles album series since I have wondered about how those albums sound. Did you ever hear the Dr. Ebbet’s bootlegs of all the Beatles albums which claim to be mastered from very clean vinyl? There is one thing I have been dying to know. and I’ve always wondered this about Japanese Beatles imports: what exactly is an OBI strip?
Very nice, you've got a few I don't have. 😎 Do yourself a solid though and track down all the UK stereo pressings.. the 1 box, or 2 box EMI labeled LP's from the late 60's, early 70's are still cheap, plentiful and sound _incredible,_ better than any of the OG's. Or just get a UK BC-13 boxset and call it a day. Trust me, it's well worth it! 👍
If I remember right the green Label pressings were 77 - 80 and then purple 81 - 89? maybe I have that backwards. VR does have a lot of the Lps I Have! but, I have over 20k Lp's and 45's. promos and demos - some that may be quite rare. this includes dodge Ad 7 Inch 33's, 12 inch Dodges disks - including ads and pep rally disks!l My first two real Beatles Lp's were Please please me(Purple 81 Label) and Something new(Green Label) ... Thanks to the public libraries back in the late 80s and 90's, I took the time to learn about music. and now I have a huge collection and a hopeful start up radio station(Online) BTW: I have pretty Much the full Capitol Albums Box sets v 1 and two on original Cap. Lps Mono and stereo - I am missing the beatles 65 Lp in stereo though! yet, I will never sell them, if anything the collection will grow! Something new mono has tracks from What I understand The U. A version( Two or Three tracks) from the Help album. you should also try and find the US versions of Rock and Roll Music, the Silver Case with the coke glass on orange vinyl from 77 at least my 2x LP is from 1977!
Holy smoke! I thought *I* was a big Beatles fan. Geek just made me feel like a part-timer. Having said that, I'm mildly surprised that you don't seem to have the Beatles "Live At The BBC" sets or "Love"!
I'm actually surprised that you don't have the original UK monos. Everything they did right up to the white album sounds way better and more dynamic in mono. I think you need to sit down and play all the UK eps back to back to get a true idea of what the band was about in the early days in mono and its a true revelation to listen to.
Most of the real value are the UK pressings I own most the earlier 1st pressings, like I have a couple of the Gold and Black label ones stereo and the mono ones plus the transition Black and Yellow pressings
Honestly when it comes to let it be I'm really happy with Phil spector's overproduction I don't think it's intrusive on any of those songs my only problem with the let it be album as a whole Is a short grease inclusion of dig it and Maggie Mae When I originally listened to the album as a kid I always thought that was a kid I thought that's all they recorded of dig it honestly he could have dropped Maggie May from the album if we good at the very least the 4 minute version of the song I can't think of a valid reason why I dig it was cut down to under a minute I believe there's enough time and there's even enough space on the album for the the full song keep in mind let it be was only 12 track album and at that point it's not even a matter of Capitol Records because Capitol Records have to listen to emi records
You don't own the best and rocking Paul McCartney and Wings 1975 album Venus and Mars? I really think it's the best Wings album even much better than The Band On The Run album and that's a pretty good album, and Venus and Mars is one of the greatest post Beatles albums Paul ever did. I'm also really surprised that you don't also own John Lennon's 1974 great album Walls and Bridges.
So, you basically live in a mini record store. Im jealous (then again, im this way with books so i can empathize). But seriously, this is impressive. Plus im in love woth the entire set up and the obvious love you have. Makes me want to do a similar thing for my main artist (Tarja). Though, just a thought: collaboration with Parlogram Auction sometime in the future?
I'm a major Beatles fan. Regarding the solo records, aside from a few high points it all went downhill after the mid 70s. Paul & Ringo's current stuff (dare l say) sucks!
The Beatles sold a lot of records not because they were the greatest musicians but simply because their music was easy to sell to the masses: it had no difficult content, it had no technical innovations, it had no creative depth. They wrote a bunch of catchy 3-minute ditties and they were photogenic. Furthermore, the Beatles represented the reaction against a social and political revolution. They arrived at the time of the student protests, of Bob Dylan, of the Hippies, and they replaced the image of angry kids, fists in the air, with their cordial faces and amiable declarations
Vinyl is so overrated, CD'S are much better, not only do they sound better, (they replaced Vinyl for a reason back in the 80's) they are much more easily storable, durable, and cheaper, In my opinion the only category Vinyl has an advantage is in the Cover art where the Cover just jumps right out at you but other than that....CD'S FTW
Dude that's so sick, gonna be so cool to show your grand kids 100 year old records.
Outstanding collection. I wish I could have a music room like yours. Nicely done.
I would love to have the Anthology albums on vinyl. Hopefully those will get a reissue.
Absolutely! The prices are beyond evil now.
Time Takes Time is an excellent album by Ringo from 1992. Found a sealed copy on vinyl last year at a record show and my friend bought it for me for my birthday.
I always enjoy your videos very much. I like the natural and relaxed way you talk!
Best Wishes from England 🤗

Glad to see you have "The Point". Years ago I and my wife finally got a copy of that. Great album - great piece of animation too!
Yes, Harry Nilsson's The Point. Every parent should sit down and listen to it with their children.
Loved seeing this. I got into collecting Beatles records this year and I've got pretty much all the Capitol stuff. I prefer original pressings and don't have any of the newer pressed stuff. It’s better to find original British pressings, tbh.
Respect, very cool collection with some rarely seen items! My Beatles collection has an Discogs average of 3,000+ € (ca. $3,500). All media, mainly vinyl. No solo Beatles included. My greatest pride: each UK 45 as first pressing.

The Hey Jude album has a bunch of songs not on other albums. It's one of my favs
*Incredible collection ❤🔥 I love vinyls*

Thanks for sharing.
Happy listening!

3:16 Those Taiwanese albums are a lot of fun. I've got a Righteous Brothers one with full transparent orange vinyl.
I too am an avid Beatles vinyl collector. I bought the red box mono British lp collection when it was released 'n was surprised to discover Sgt. Pepper's is indeed mono on side 1 but side 2 is stereo! Betcha that's a rare collector's item now...
Really really nice collection. Thanks for sharing it with everybody! 👍👍
Really cool! Thanks so much for sharing...👍✌️
Cool video. Impressive Beatles collection.
I recommend you Chaos and creation in the backyatd by Paul. A wonderful album
Amazing collection! Thanks for sharing. You would have a field day collecting Beatles records if you lived here in the UK 🇬🇧
Nice the Beatles collection, thanks for video.👍
I have recently completed my Beatles album collection. Should I get Now and Then too?
Every collection is a journey in the making. Enjoyed the video.
i have been waiting for this video for years

Damn that’s a great collection
Also like to see some king gizzard in the background :)

Never heard of Rockaway. I always hear of Amoeba. I’ll have to check them out since I’m in the area
It's really great that you own so many great early Beatles albums too.
Great video.
Btw, is the b-side of your Toronto ‘69 still intact?
(PS. That Weezer vinyl on the wall is really cool.)
Very nice collection...I have an almost mint Gold box set [Australian pressings] of the Beatles.......must be of some value.:)
Great collection! I’m in awe of all the albums and solo albums of The Beatles that you have. Rock ‘n Roll Music Vol.2 was my introduction to The Beatles because I wanted to hear Revolution which I first heard on that infamous shoe commercial.

I got my Sgt Pepper original pressing (LA) searching through the dollar bin at a local shop. The cover is a little beat, but it still plays decently.
I loved this! 👏🏼
Never thought you'd have a bootleg of the Glyn Johns mix
Awesome, love it.
Super cool !
so cool!

Something new mono has tracks from What I understand The U. A version( Two or Three tracks) from the Help album.
you should also try and find the US versions of Rock and Roll Music, the Silver Case with the coke glass on orange vinyl from 77 at least my 2x LP is from 1977!
I thought it was Michal Jackson at first but I’m happy to see Weird Al up on your wall
wooooow great collection !!!!
How does that "The Original Greatest Hits" sound? That's an awesome song list! Never seen that before.
I prefer the Yellow Submarine Songtrack album as well. But I had to get the UK original because of the film score. Was that on the US release?
Holy smoke! I thought *I* was a big Beatles fan.
Geek just made me feel like a part-timer.
Having said that, I'm mildly surprised that you don't seem to have the Beatles "Live At The BBC" sets or "Love"!
Nice collector items. I have some rare collectors item in my channel. I love the beatles.
please do more colection videos!
Nice collection. You should add The BBC Sessions to it.
Great video
I used to have original pressings of all the UK versions, but 'lost' them 20 years ago. A great pity. They'd be worth a few dollars nowadays.
I'm actually surprised that you don't have the original UK monos. Everything they did right up to the white album sounds way better and more dynamic in mono. I think you need to sit down and play all the UK eps back to back to get a true idea of what the band was about in the early days in mono and its a true revelation to listen to.
nice
No I think that yesterday and today is a promo.the only beatles albums I ever saw that was a cutout was let it be.
The Revolver box set is really good. You should get that one.
He does... did you watch the video? Try 13:15
@@stevesstuff1450 I did. I just commented too soon while watching the video.

Is a short grease inclusion of dig it and Maggie Mae
When I originally listened to the album as a kid I always thought that was a kid I thought that's all they recorded of dig it honestly he could have dropped Maggie May from the album if we good at the very least the 4 minute version of the song I can't think of a valid reason why I dig it was cut down to under a minute I believe there's enough time and there's even enough space on the album for the the full song keep in mind let it be was only 12 track album and at that point it's not even a matter of Capitol Records because Capitol Records have to listen to emi records

I ditched all my American albums and replaced them with UK, German, Japanese and Dutch pressings.
Dude you missed the mono box :O
Do you have any simon and Garfunkel or paul sinon solo work on vinyl?
Though I may dislike the Beatles music I love seeing your collection. Always a great video!
Parlogram is stupid.
dude - there's a 2012 "MASTERING" of Sgt Pepper, but not a "2012 mix". That's a new mastering from a digital intermediary of the 1967 stereo mix.
No Sgt. Pepper box set ??
YOU HAVE HOW MUCH DOSH IN BEATLES LPS?
Disagree with the Revolver vinyl being crappy. It was my first Beatles album I bought on vinyl.
💿
Cuáaantoooo?????
DO AJR
You're a hoarder but because you're on RUclips plugging products you're a lucky hoarder because you get it all for free!
