What can I post about Ringo that hasn't already been expressed elsewhere much more cleverly and elegantly? For completists only.

It cost more money to record, press and distribute those capricious albums by John & Yoko, and George's "brilliant" projects, than they collected in sales, let alone profits. US Apple pressings were awfully bad. I have never owned a single US Beatles album that didn't sound like crap compared to the UK pressings. However, anything that included Yoko sounded horribile anyways, even on quadrophonic.

The sad thing about this band is that in the very beginning they posed for photos for the singles, but later on they grew lazy and, aside from things like "SGt. Pepper's" they did little to nothing regarding collaborating with the artwork. So the art department at EMI, Capitol, Parlophone or Apple had to resort to slap the first photo they'd find and the fans would all believe it "was all part of The Great Plan". Interestingly enough, even with sales of their records being at all time highs, at their peak, none were as rich as people might believe they grew., but the music publishers and the labels sure did. Allen Klein was the lowlife everyone says he was, but he made the labels and publishers give them back the money they shortchanged them for years, and got them more lucrative contracts. If they werent' gettign screwed by the label and the publishers, they were getting screwed by Internal Revenue taxes, which purposely kept successful British citizens as poor as possible to fund the lifestyle of the royal family and to stay at par with the United States in terms of military and naval power.

Great video! That’s an awesome box set. I love the picture disc that comes with your set! I didn’t get the box set you’re showing but I did get the Beatles singles box set from 2019 which has “Free As A Bird” & “Real Love”. Where would you recommend I look for the set you have for a fair price? I don’t really like discogs tho. My nephew had bought a few albums that weren’t as described and overpriced. Seems like there’s more scam sellers now but that’s everywhere these days. I would like to get this box set for the 7” picture disc. I didn’t know anything about this set. I have just about all the original copies,except for a few Apple ones.Even have a fan cvpub insert included with the Lady Madonna,with this one being ,of course,being the UK one,with Freda as secretary!!Good ol Freda!!!Have the PPM red labeler, had a few of the Love Me Dos,including a JR initial press.

I'm looking to include a singles AND EP set as part of the Capiphone project,being worked on for the 60th anniversary this year!!!

great video...as always - i really enjoy your postings - when you show the old capitol inner sleeves it always reminds me of being a young teenager looking at the same as i listened to my new purchase..i used to really enjoy looking at all the products and wondering what they were like if I was unaware of the artist and /or their usual genre. it is a shame it doesn't happen like that anymore. buying vinyl was so exceedingly "special".

Another great video .Question are the Japanese Flag series of the American releases have a different mix than the original American ones? Also so rare to have a shrink wrap record of Wings over America because it has a gatefold! I mean who wouldn’t open that up? Glad to had a great record convention.

I found a shop seller I deal with up here in the Pa/Nj region that has a TWIST sleeve Polydor German My Bonnie(the '62 English intro one)It would be my third copy Ive had if I grab it.The other two are long gone.

The Revolver Promo Inhad ,had an olive green(also promo notched) sleeve,just to let you know,that yhe Revolver originals sre to be paired up with the olives,and NOT the Yellow '66 sleeves.

You really found awesome finds this week. I love the promo record! I’m curious how you got started on collecting Beatles vinyl and collectibles. I’d love to see you do a video with some of your most prized finds. I am in total awe of your collection and you continue to get interesting pressings as well. I was 4 years old when I watched the Beatles for the first time on the Ed Sullivan show back in 1964 and have been a huge Beatles fan ever since but I never had as many cool and rare collectibles as you managed to find in a few years! Well done! I've sold of a lot of my original vinyl and most of my music is on CD now. Thought I'd tell you that I also have a 3 CD set called 'The Travelling Wilburys' Collection. It has a number of additional tracks (not included on the original Wilbury's albums). I don't know if this was available on vinyl or not but as a vinyl collector you may want to find out. I also have a CD, "Small World Big Band," by Jools Holland etc. which has the only George Harrison version (that I'm aware of) of his final song, "Horse to Water," sung by George himself. Again, I don't know if this album was available on vinyl.

And what would he say about the release of Beatles albums and their solo albums in communist Czechoslovakia or even Soviet releases of Beatles and solo albums i took from Czech republic to England and it was a great succes

I only get the CDs now..but back in the day I had about 2200 LPs..10 years ago I decided to sell everything or give them away, too bad you weren't around then, I would have given you many of them. Glad to see younger people into the great artist of the 1960 etc.

Enjoyed your video. I live in the UK. I have a US mono copy of Rubber Soul that I picked up from a second hand record shop for I think it was £4.00 (can't quite remember now?). I think it's a first press as it does not have 'The Beatles' on both sides of the labels. The cover/sleeve is worn and has a split down the spine. It also has a number 4 on the right hand side of the rear of the sleeve. Not sure what pressing plant this is? Cheers.

Love this series! So informative sir. Question the original paper sleeves for Beatles VI is Green and the 1966 is an Orange sleeve is this correct? Kansas City on top,of the spindle hole is that the real first pressing? And are all record sleeves for these three are green? Thanks again for the video and sharing yer expertise.

Some nice finds! I want to complete my Japanese flag series, but it seems like such a daunting task. I would be torn with that Lennon Legends album, too. I'd probably break down and tear into it just so I could listen to it once. But you have a strong argument for not doing it, too. I just received my One Hand Clapping with the E.P. recently and hope to listen to it this evening. Another great video!
