It cost more money to record, press and distribute those capricious albums by John & Yoko, and George's "brilliant" projects, than they collected in sales, let alone profits. US Apple pressings were awfully bad. I have never owned a single US Beatles album that didn't sound like crap compared to the UK pressings. However, anything that included Yoko sounded horribile anyways, even on quadrophonic.
