You are doing the right thing to remove the affected leaves. I'm doing the same thing on various veggies like tomatoes and eggplants. So far, it seems to be working. Your garden is looking fabulous! I pray your back feels better. I have a chair in my beauty room with a heating pad and just 15-20 minutes on my lower back does the trick for me. I can do my daily exercises without too much discomfort. Amazon has a good selection if you don't already own one. Blessings & Take Care! Peaches
Removing the leave seem to be working for me as well.. Ohhh, I one have one heating pad I should get another one though, I have to keep fighting the husband for it! LOL!
I've never seen anything quite like that on the bean leaves before. it could be any of those things you mentioned, plus as you were discussing with DevaJones03, the heat. Heat can compound things, but if you were having dry days it wouldn't be blight (which IS fungus, BTW). So I would narrow it down to nutrient deficiency or heat damage. Sometimes in the heat if you're not watering consistently weird things start to happen. Peppers don't like it too hot either, so it could be that those funny spots are sunscald or heat stress. But when it comes to the tomatoes, any yellowing of the bottom leaves could be Fusarium or Verticillium (not good) which might have come in with your soil. But please don't panic. You may still get a good harvest--it's only almost July. And next year you will rotate your crops. Yours is a brand new fresh garden and the soil microbes have to become balanced. Over the years you will see things improving as you work to make better soil.
Hi Deborah, I won't panic. (Well, maybe I'll panic a little!!) I think you got it!! The weather has been extremely harsh.. For over 3 weeks there was a drought in our area and the heat stayed in the 90s. Then, without notice we received a cold snap of 40 degree weather from the north and stayed within the 70s-50s with rain ever since. I'll just keep my eyes peeled for any other significant changes and I'll keep you all updated. Stay well my friend, thanks you so much!!
Hey DevaJones03, we were just coming off of a drought and temps were getting up to 90 degrees fahrenheit during the day.. This week was much cooler but at least we got some good rain pour.
Back2myroots Homestead I think that heat did in your snap peas they just don't do heat. as soon as we got regular 90 degree Temps the peas went the way of the dodo. so I don't think that was you or whatever is doing that to your beans. Deborah to the rescue pretty soon I'm sure for the answers to that one hopefully.

The glimpse of the lettuce, looked really healthy. Hopefully your other plants will bounce back with the affected leaves removed. T
Thanks T, things are growing well but some things are starting to bolt. Either way I'm enjoying and learning so much! Stay well!!
Your garden is sure growing !!!
Yeah, it's finally showing progress after the drought we had in early June.
I wish I could help but I'm not sure. I do think that you are doing the right thing. Best wishes Bob.
Thanks Bob, I'll keep you posted just in case you run into the same issue. Stay well my friend!
