Had a lot of naked bikes but Ktm’s are a different breed. Had a 2007 superduke that was like an attack dog you didn’t want to let go of. I had a stroke and during recover I felt it was too heavy but I still wanted to ride so I got the 2024 390 duke, it is just like a duke but starts to feed power slower after 80mph. I’ve got my muscle mass back and my strength back and now I’m feeling like I need alittle more hp and the bigger rubber underneath me. You wouldn’t believe what you can squeeze out of that 390 duke. I’m assuming the 790 will be the same and it will be all I will ever need on legal roads. FYI watch your salt, sugar, red meat, and alcohol. Getting back in the game after a stroke has been a climb 😂 Thanks for the videos
@@michaelrieser9928 I’m sorry to hear that, but sounds like you are on your way to recovery…Yeah, the 790 is plenty enough for me right now in the speed department. I’m planning on taking it to the track in the spring to keep my skills up. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment.
I have the same bike same year. Keep us updated on your cams. Im at 3200 miles so pretty low but when it gets closer to 9k and that valve clearance service is due.....seems like its a toss up on whether your cams are toast
i just picked up a 2024 ktm duke 790 and im soo happy with the bike.

I hoping with the 2023 models they addressed the issue…like you said, it’s a waiting game.
