I think his name will be Abel Vandham because Abel is a very common name in the Xeno series which is also used for Fei in Xenogears and Abel in Xenosaga also looks like Fei in Xenogears. I assume the plot is going to be about him as the main character and Shulk and Rex will be temporary heroes before they die off or get severely injured as we know Shulk will lose his arm and Rex will lose a eye. I am expecting Abel + completely new cast of characters such as the other founders and not just Shulk and Rex as the mentors.

It actually makes sense if you think about his role. Alvis' primary role is stability of the world, whether that was Zanza's cycle or Shulk starting a new one. He didn't care whether he was wielded by Zanza or Shulk, only that the world is preserved. What do the Moebius desire above all else? Stability. Preservation. The world to not change.

I've only seen the Direct Trailer, but I already dislike the concept of Deca Police - it strikes me as *aggressive* copaganda.
