*Sniffles* What happened to my boy Alvis? I've only watch LPs of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 3 (couldn't get into 2's story), even though I had no interest in playing the games myself. But someone can correct me if I am wrong here, there was never a Consul A in the main game of XC3 right? I think someone said in Nico's chat during his livestream that Consul A could be Alvis.
You have to know the lore of xenoblade chronicles 2
Xenoblade 2's story starts so slooowwwww, but it's worth I promise
The ending of Xenoblade 2 gives context to who Alvis is and it's further confirmed by the changes in his design in Xenoblade DE. 2 starts off slow, but it explains pretty much everything about the underlying lore in 1 and 2.
If you really don't care about Xenoblade 2's story (though it gets really good) you can watch the last 3-4 hours of the game in a LP. I think unless they do a lot of recap, it'll be hard to understand wave 4 without at least watching that much.
@@24hr-Gaming I did watch the end of XB2's ending so I know what you're talking about. It's still shocking though since I did kind of forget about it.

I was left so disappointed by most of the ending of 3, to be honest...and this despite me not really wanting something Founders related, might be exactly what I need. The event this story refused to show of why the world refused to move forward.
Goddamn this DLC is going to save the end of this game for me.

It was never explained how Z appeared as a manifestation of the peoples will (that stuff doesn't usually happen you know), we don't know where all the characters of the previous games ended up besides some speculation on some of them, and we don't know how the world ended up in the state it was in Xc3 (socially speaking). As a Finale for the trilogy it was lacking a proper end for basically all the characters from the previous games while also leaving us on a cliffhanger with the worlds seperated again and the entire cast being seperated again only to end it with child Noah hearing the flute which just doesn't make any sense.
And this is all stuff I can remember without taking another look at the game. I'm sure there is way more than that
@@Nachtflut The exposition dumps that Nia and Melia did were probably the most awful part of the story. If you think about it, it doesn't explain much of anything. When Xenoblade 3 started that is about 1 decadeish after the end of 1 and 2. Even with Shulk, Tora, and all of the Morytha technology and Pyra + Mythra there is no way their society evolved enough to create something like Origin or do cross dimensional communication.
Where did Z come from is also unexplained. Melia said he's a concept born from the fears of mankind. But that still doesn't answer the question. How was Z able to capture Melia and why was she never rescued? What happened to Shulk, Rex, and Pyra + Mythra? Even if Pyra and Mythra lost their connection to the Conduit, they were both still really powerful blades. So something must have happened for things to end up the way they did. Alvis who is still directly connected to the Conduit would explain a lot.
Smh and you didn't include me who literally owns the world's largest Xeno collection in the world. Sadge
