I have a suspicion that being one of your guys comes with equal doses of ‘I expect a lot out of you’ but ‘I’ll teach you all that I know’. That duality makes for good bosses and loyal employees.

JUst an update camera showed the valve impact on the piston head, i was devastated by that for a moment however replacing the spring was sufficient to restore the engine) My spring was broken on 4th cyl intake so i managed the issue with very basic valve keeper tool. Also TDC was enough to put the keepers back on the valve stem, never used air or cord backup. Thanks again for the video!

Those are the best gas trucks. I just bought a 2005 1500 with a Hemi and the guy thought it had no oil pressure because the gauge was pinned down to nothing but I knew that couldnt be true because it still ran and sounded good. It was the $11 oil pressure sender that took 10 min to replace haha. Great deal on a great truck, if only it was a 2500...but air bags in the rear make a big difference and is enough for me for now

Loved it but I came to you by way of Andrew Cam..... watched all his videos with no comments, then found out about you, then through you, your mom and Dad. I will be watching all of the above with interest and enjoyment and I must make more comments so you can get to know one of your viewers, perhaps a little lesser than I have come to know about you. If they really cared they would do the research on the problem not just throw hands in the air and give up. Great content 👍. Being an old timer like myself I’ve replaced a good many valve springs with basically the same technique. Always enjoy seeing your ways of tackling a problem.

Had the same problem with my '03 5.7. I replaced ALL the valve springs (both intake and exhaust) with exhaust valve springs from (I think it was) the 6.4 Hemi. Works great. The '03 especially were prone to this problem. On mine I just made sure the cylinder I was working on was at TDC and there was no worry of dropping the valve into the cylinder, it would hit the piston before falling in too far and you could easily pull it up with a magnet if need be. No need for compressed air in the cylinder at least on my engine. Haven't had one issue with it in probably 80k miles. I should have done valve stem seals then too, gotta do those soon.

all in all sweet truck, for the issues that is wrong with it, with all your knowlege can get that fixed up and she will run for more years to come.. Live in Upper Northeast Illinois and we get a LOT of salt here in the winter months... I always either taking my 2003 caddie deville to the car wash to get the under carriage washed from all the salt, or do not drive it when it snows heavy here and keep it in the garage...I DO want to get my spings and shocks replaced this year, and not sure WE can do that, so will get the parts I need and have our Mechanic do the work.:-)... Last yrs our #1 cyclender was miss firing. We were gonna take it in, BUT after watching some videos, Paul and I though to take a chance and see if we do things outselves.. For a Legally blind guy and disabled old lady, we replaced all the plugs, the Ignition coil pack and everything on the front of the motor, but could NOT get the back. have had severl spine surgeiers so was not happening for me, and Paul couldn't see good, so we packed the parts we had for the back and took her in, and all done:-) runs like a champ now. So want to get the springs and shocks replaced this coming summer. Enjoy your videos, and awesome job making the MULLER tool for thew dodge.

I really enjoyed this video. It made me recall a friend of mine from the neighborhood back in the 60's who bought an older Mercedes diesel car. His goal was to rebuild the engine. What he did not realize was Mercedes had designed special tools for accessing difficult areas of the engine. He went down to the dealership to inquire of them and the cost was hundreds of dollars for all the little special gadgets he needed to accomplish his task. His father was a machinist and surveyed the situation and created all the tools in his workshop, based upon his own designs and they worked perfectly. My friend rebuilt the engine and had the car for several years.
Your making that tool reminded me of that situation from long ago. If one puts their mind to it, there is always a good solution.

I just did a seafoam treatment in oil on one of my work cars out of curiosity that is almost at 300k and has had above average maintenance and fluid changes and was still running great. That oil change looked like the car just ate at taco bell. You are correct though. Always change all fluids/filters and check brakes on new to you vehicles for inspection and peace of mind.

Jesse, thxz for the videos. Open a Dodge repair shop, you'll never be out of work. I see Dodge parked along the road side here in Texas all the time. I grew up with a Dodge van and a much better vehicle back in the day. Eaglegards...

The seller had no clue what was wrong with the truck and was not even willing to pop the valve cover to try to find out. His loss, your friends gain. Feel good about it.

Have the owner run that Hemi Hard every so often. That way he'll avoid the worn down camshaft and lifters problem. If you keep the revs low all the time, the cam and lifters don't get enough oil!

Somebody really took time to change the oil regularly on that nice and clean inside there

I’ve been truck shopping but some people want crazy money especially if it’s clean no rust. Someday I hope to find a fixer upper like that.
