Hey guys! I'm Alexandra Gater and I show you how to do rental-friendly upgrades and DIY projects on a budget. New videos every Saturday! Today I'm making over Bachelor In Paradise couple Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile’s New York apartment. After getting engaged on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, Serena and Joe moved to New York together and asked me to design their new home! Watch me transform the apartment into a bright and airy space outfitted with peel-and-stick molding, pops of colour and tons of cozy texture.

The faux molding on the walls elevated the apartment. Great call on changing the orientation of the drapery brackets so the drapes cover the entire window. Love the corner book bracket. Great conversion of dead space to very useful space.
I really hope this wasn't just a collab (1 instagram post from her) and you were paid for your work!! First your transportation, accommodation whilst there and all the time and work put into it.. this is absolutely beautiful and I hope this doesnt come across as rude, simply want people to appreciate and value your work and not just 'collab' because they've got a following

@@lisaroberson1484it’s still travel and cost. They had to all stay in the city for a couple days and nights. NY isn’t cheap either.

Agree! Though the video where they remade James's new apartment and sent Graham ahead with a camera was gold though, so we need more of them both! All of Team AG is so precious and I'm glad the nearly whole crew is so hands-on in each video!

I was instantly peeved because that coffee table is cheap-looking and hideous and it makes no sense he'd want to keep it. I also can't believe they even mentioned the bedroom thinking they'd get an entire apartment makeover. I seriously hope (but doubt) Team AG got paid for this because it was waaay too much work for the "exposure" on these "famous" people's social media.
The faux stick-on molding is genius, and the sconces add the perfect stylish note to the living room. It's so much fun watching your team work together - good job to everyone!
Totally! I wasn't sure about the cheetah art print on the wall until the sconces were added.
I know it's a year later but I only just found team AG so I am binging every episode lol. Just went to look & Serena & Joe's channel & their apartment tour - turns out neither of them managed to work out how to turn on the sconces.....Joe thought they were decor only, Serena couldn't find a way to turn them on. Apparently it never occurred to either of them to ask......

Every time I watch one of these videos, I fall more in "friend love" with Graham and Alexandra. He's the cutest and this is the cowork relationship we all need. ALSO I neeeeeeeddd a custom Graham table or desk. I just do.
I love all of your small spaces makeovers but this one was outstanding! Maybe because I live in Manhattan and live in a small space. You created a space that’s warm and so comfortable. I want to purchase some of the pieces featured! You are such a gem!
It’s really true how a space can feel really cramped due to the layout or the furniture. The place looked so small before the makeover with both those

When boo boos happen you and team laugh. Laughter will get you through. So invigorating to watch. I have really enjoyed the boho look. I have used so many different styles from very traditional to summer cottage airy. And your makeover have introduced ❤❤a bunch of clever ideas.

Oh, interesting. I’m thinking, this guy can barely look into the camera and he’s a content creator?? They loved their makeover, though, Joe I think was positively gobsmacked, so that makes them good people in my book :).
Joe is my absolute favorite. I thought he didn't want to move from Chicago tho? 😂That's okay, I told my ex boyfriend I didn't want to move then later moved for my husband 😘

Painting this walls white made a HUGE difference! I love the kitchen island - it’s so functional. So great how you worked around his books and coffee table.

OMG. That molding is incredible. In my next house I think I may use that. You are so polite - that coffee table is hideous but you said nothing but kind things about it and made it work.

That makeover was a chef's kiss. Very high end looking considering everything was renter-friendly. I just think Joe will find it hard to fill all those holes in the wall once they move out of the apartment. Anyway, I hope there'll be more overseas trip for Team AG!!! ♥️
Team AG has a video where they show you how to do that it will be easy peasey even for someone who isn’t handy.

This is an object lesson in how adding more furniture can mysteriously make a small place seem bigger. I need to get my hands on those battery-operated bulbs. I just have too few outlets in my old apartment!

Love everything you do. My only one thing I wished the couple would have been open to was the coffee table. Seems a bit large for the space. Everything else is mint!

Battery powered lightbulbs! That means I can have sconces without getting an electrician to open the wall -which would be against condo rules anyway. I’ll join the chorus of appreciation for stick on moulding. I’m surprised that the chunky dark coffee table goes with the golden wood of the media console - it’s that rug and rust chairs, art and decor altogether. Fantastic job.

You can paint the mouldings before sticking them on the wall so it won't leave that line of paint behind.

Alexandra u and ur team need to come to Los Angeles. Graham doesn't need to get any tools I have them all! I live in a one bedroom duplex. I have been decluttering for about 1 1/2 yrs (off & on). My apt has 50% less than what I originally had! Now I just need to make it cozy & personalize it. I've done things out of pocket to make it more practical & esthetically pleasing. Now I'm at a road stop & just don't know how to tackle my vision. If u can't come then maybe u can do a virtual make over. That way u can hold me accountable to any projects u have in mind! Remember I have tools & u inspire me so much!!!

This is beautiful! I love the moulding on the walls! The custom island is gorgeous! The cane webbing accents are perfect. The only thing I noticed was when Alexandra put the stools at the island, I was thinking that's not really an ideal place to sit because your knees are going to hit the island and there doesn't appear to be an overhang. But other than that minor thing, I love everything!
This is just great. The pieces of furniture are so perfect. I love the mix of color with the cane as the tie in. Perfection! Add the molding was another inspiration. Yes I love it.

Ok here’s my great idea: I think it’d be SUPER WONDERFUL and helpful if Graham could come through with a list - No links required! - of all the tools and equipment he picked up for the job for us to consult when we’re thinking about doing our own Reno’s. Kinda like a Pantry List in cookbooks. Not all of us have tools. Thank you for your consideration.
