Once again, a very clear explanation of the difference between two words that are normally used as synonyms. Thank you
Hello Clare. Glad to see you again! Much obliged for your time and effort that you put in to provide us with such impeccable short lessons. God bless you always. if only I could thumb up your channel more than ONCE!!🌺🌻🌼
The Best and Simple Explanation I've seen so far.
I'm currently taking your proofreading course on Udemy, which I love, and now I'm even more pleasantly surprised to find your RUclips channel! SO helpful! As an English teacher of 5 years (and beginner proofreader), I wish I'd found you before I started teaching!! Thank you :)
Thank you, dear Clare 🌹
Thank you
Awesome
good
the office brought me here
I can infer that you are implying by inferring from experience that people often imply the wrong usage of infer while they should be inferring the imply, and not infer.
Hope that's right 😃 Great video !
😂
How about possibility and probability? Thanks. 😊
Am I right in suggesting that you could say "infer" means to "form" an opinion without it actually being said; and "imply" is to "put forward" an opinion without actually being said?
("Infer" has an "f" for "form"; "imply" has a "p" for "put forward"). Thanks.
Yes, that's a good way of expressing it!
@@DrClareLynch Great, thank you very much.
Come to think of it: I don't suppose you would mind too much to clarify some political words for us, would you by any chance, as long as it's no trouble of course? interested to hear your input on this.
Thank you! Are there any words or speeches you'd specifically like me to look at?
@@DrClareLynch Yes please. the definition and understanding of : communism, socialism and capitalism, and how they work ! thanks ever so much.
Confused me more
What an absolute fox
