There were actually a few colors of My Pretty Pony.
Personally, I love that Hasbro keeps rebooting MLP. We get something new every time. It's better than what a lot of long-running franchises are doing, like Star Wars for example. The thing I can't stand is when a franchise just reaches for nostalgia points from past eras. G5 is edging into that territory with its continuation from G4. The day they decide to reboot G4 is the day MLP dies for me. We really need a clean slate generation at this point.
Are u saying you want always new mlp gen like being different as usual and g5 is somewhat ruining g4 and should have nothing to do with gen 4?

and technically there is something even before My pretty pony as it has the prototypes which are the first Mlp characters that are created by Bonnie Zacherle
I live in a small Texas town and there’s an antique store with a My Pretty Pony for about 30 bucks (i think?) that I’ve always wanted to buy but could never justify the purchase to myself,,,this video kinda made me wanna go back and buy it LOL

I've watched essentially every bit of animated MLP official media. While the generations outside of G4 have plenty of interesting things and cute ponies, it just doesn't have the rewatchability and cohesiveness like the early seasons of G4. With that said, I would probably only rewatch G4 up until S3 E12 and then, only certain episodes in the later seasons. I say this as someone who loves Starlight.
Personally I love the g1 toys. I genuinely don’t understand how so many people think they look ugly 😅. I overall enjoy g1 much better than g4 and it seems like I’m the only one who feels this way haha
In my opinion the G1 toys are the cutest and the most beautiful.
and I think Hasbro will start investing in Mlp again if the Transformers animated film is successful, as they were now investing in live action so there has to be something to change their mind
I own a pretty pony! My mom got me one at a garage sale for $5 and its one of the favorites of my collection :D
I have a sneaking suspicion that the real reason they ended Make Your Mark was because it was too expensive to produce.
I mean, that's obvious. It was not profitable. People didn't watch it (because it was bad).
Hasbro's share price is increasing again. The biggest hit seems to be the purchase of Entertainment One and selling it for far less than they bought it for. It coincided with the covid pandemic and G5 launched into that so...yeah. Uphill struggle for G5 out of the gate.
We had some offbrand MLP toys in the nineties and I think they were kinda cuter than the official ones :D (Can't find pics of them anywhere though, there were so many different offbrands)

Hold on, I'm sorry... Hasbro is on the verge of bankruptcy? It's a multibillion dollar company, with a current network of $8.37 billion! How could a company with that much money be on the verge of bankruptcy?!
Recently they’ve been laying off a loooottaa people, plus profits are down. I don’t think they’ll ever come out and publicly say they’re going bankrupt, as no company would, but I was also probably using hyperbole.
