good cop!! he listened to everyone's side and didn't take anything lightly. domestic violence is nothing to mess around with since things can escalate very quickly if you don't do the right thing at the right time.
You notice how the cop always try to talk a woman into it.and when it's the other way around they don't talk the men into pressing charges.smh at the same time us men be dumb for feeling sorry for these women.
Shouldn’t have been arrested, IMO. Should have been separated, and both written a citation and both should have to show up to court. Cops take the woman’s side most of the time, shameful.
Both? What would you write the citation on the VICTIM for ? He intimidated her with a firearm , and made CREDIBLE threats that he was going to kill her lover? You must be 12. This had nothing to do with gender, it was pure negligence and emotion. The fact that you’re victim blaming shows that you’re part of the problem.
Yeah it's a very great area with domestic violence. My friend got stabbed at his house, by his ex, he slapped her to get her away...and he was the one who went to jail. The charges were dropped and she was charged with attempted 1st degree manslaughter, but he shouldn't have even been charged in the first place.
Tyler Rodgers I agree the police usually take the women’s side, however here, you can tell he was a bit unruley before the officer showed up and regardless of that, a firearm was still discharged irresponsibly near children due to an argument While he was Intoxicated. He had no reason to show up and cause a scene. Should’ve been charged with domestic and reckless discharge of a firearm
How does a 6'2 dude need a gun when pulling up to his estranged wifes house? He clearly was there to be a threat to her and have her feeling intimidated by his demeanor. Press them charges girl! Even said it herself he blocked her from leaving and this wasn't the first time. Smh
His ex-wife likely has the house and kids and her new boyfriend is driving that Camaro. Men are already at a disadvantage in divorce. Game over with domestic violence charge.
To be clear; any firearm owner should be wise in their daily walk. It’s smarter to not buy one if you have habitual seasons. Anger and impatience is something that can ruin it all for you.
"I'm an ex-ranger. Is she dead?" That's where things went irreversibly bad for that guy. The casual way he said that tells you that he was thinking about it and makes the 'accidental discharge' story a bit less believable. My gut feeling was that it was intended as intimidation.
No your not correct. He was saying, "I'm highly trained in killing, if I wanted to harm her she would be dead, not filing a charge. The charge he got was b's. But he should have been charges for warping posession under the influence. Nothing more tho.
Absolutely... any woman who has experience with aggressive men who abuse alcohol know how predictably unpredictable they get & especially when kids are nearby. All part of intimidation.
@@Fishy_FR actually NO. Without her willing to press charges there is no arrest. Fruit of the posiness tree. The gun and other things including her pressing charges added up to domestic charges, in court its called "Reasonable Suspicion Beyond Articulated Facts" that the crime based on each statement was enought to believe her and the other guy. As in theyre stories wasnt 100% good but based on what he did have, he could articulate a crime took place rather it did or not
The dude is right he should be charged for domestic violence since he had no intent of hurting the lady but should be charged for making the threats and the carelessness of the weapon
This is exactly why you don’t conceal carry a gun in your pocket. Either open carry or conceal carry in a quality holster that doesn’t leave the trigger accessible. Also don’t start arguments when you are armed. De-escalation or avoidance altogether would have been smart here.
Alonzo . This is what we know from the video: Original caller (We don’t know who called) says that he took out a gun and shot it in the air. The male offender claims he took the gun out of his pocket and handed it to his friend. The friend said that the offender had it in his pocket and it was showing while he was going around the van to get the boys. The woman said they had an argument and he said he was going to kill her boyfriend and had experience violence in the past. The officer suggested the gun had gone off but not the manner in which it happened. The claim from the offender is that it accidentally went off in the exchange from him to his friend. Thus my comment. If his story is true (all hearsay at this point), then a quality holster protecting the trigger could have prevented the claimed accidental discharge. So no sir I will not be deleting the comment. Thank you, good night.
Alonzo and you are correct in saying that what he did was wrong. Whether the gun accidentally went off or not, having the gun while drinking and making threats while armed with it was what landed him in that position. The discharge of the weapon, whether accidental or not, only made it that much worse for him. He made some bad choices, but the job of deciding if he is guilty of a crime is not mine. I will let the officers and courts hash that out. My point is, and only ever was, to make sure that if you are carrying a gun, do it right. Sorry for the long winded response.
I don't like how the husband and his friend downplayed the gun and the threats to kill the boyfriend. Too many times in these situations the friends and family try to protect the aggressor from consequences. The wife said its not the first incident of violence from him. Stop protecting these violent criminals from their own actions!
Suspect: "I was a ranger. I'm an expert on firearms. She's not dead, therefore I didn't threaten her" Officer: "Um, it WENT OFF." That should be the end of that conversation...
"Is she dead" why would he say that?!? Gave me chills! He's definitely plotting on taking her out, one of those If I can't have you nobody can situations. Smh!!!! Restraining Order.
Yea this is pretty cut and dry. There was an arguement, gun was present, you have been drinking, you had it on you, it went off by accident or on purpose its considered violence. You should know better to have a gun on you while your drinking and arguement. It's never mixed well
Now heres a cop thats pretty much just kept it cool throughout the whole thing. Perfect example that not all cops are bad. These guys were treated fairly.

Thats messed up. He actually gave the gun to someone else to prevent any anger escalating to where having the gun in hand would cause harm. Its always a Lose Lose situation for us men anyways
He's innocent until proven guilty. Sure, he might get acquitted...but if that mom gets on the stand and explains to the judge that a man who doesn't live there was in her home, under the influence, running his mouth w threats, in front of her kids, with a gun, and neighbors heard it go off... I'm sorry but the courts should protect our kids. Ps, she said it's not the first time. This guy should never have been in that position even if there were no gun. Bad enough a 300lb person making threats unarmed. (Not because it's "bad", but because we've all agreed as a society Menacing is wrong so we wrote laws to protect from it)

good cop!! he listened to everyone's side and didn't take anything lightly. domestic violence is nothing to mess around with since things can escalate very quickly if you don't do the right thing at the right time.
Good job officer! Smart woman! Face this now before it’s to late!
Domestic violence was him letting the dude off easy.
Come over and talk to me so he cant hear.
Everyone: proceeds to talk so loudly the whole neighborhood can hear.
The cop got what he wanted, an arrest, after he "talked her into" pressing charges.
You notice how the cop always try to talk a woman into it.and when it's the other way around they don't talk the men into pressing charges.smh at the same time us men be dumb for feeling sorry for these women.
He led a witness live on camera. An attorney can use that
“What if it hit you or your kid” smh 🤦♂️
Posted 9 minutes ago. One day I'll get it under 5!
Yeah we're still at the point where there are no good comments.
I don't care, don't think anyone else really does either.
@@bquade70 you cared enough to respond!
bquade70 chill out... it’s really not that serious, dude, i promise...
@@bquade70 lol why you so upset kid?
The charges were dropped and she was charged with attempted 1st degree manslaughter, but he shouldn't have even been charged in the first place.
wouldn't go with the drunk dude
Smh
There goes his permit to own a gun. Sad day.
That doesn't stop anyone
Jose Flores right
fr the worst day of my life
Only 5 years
One less hot headed drunk to worry about having a gun. Happy day.
You could almost see the second officer's thoughts: Mmmmm, 🍩 donuts.
😂🤣☠
That was NOT domestic violence. He never touched her and didn't brandish the weapon. At best she could get a protective order.
Crazy how this cop is so cool in this situation
Thanks to both for their service, regardless of the foolish incident. Loved when he gave him the look and said he was a Ranger too lol. Schooled.
That 2020 LT1 Camaro though 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
His ex-wife likely has the house and kids and her new boyfriend is driving that Camaro. Men are already at a disadvantage in divorce. Game over with domestic violence charge.
To be clear; any firearm owner should be wise in their daily walk. It’s smarter to not buy one if you have habitual seasons. Anger and impatience is something that can ruin it all for you.
Yikes, this is exactly why they need to go in the first place! They think they don't go until they kill someone!
They?
Cool cop seems like he really cares 👍👍
Cop was way out of line! He created the arrest.
I like how the cop told him the friend ratted him out when it was his wife. Lmao.
I’m not saying the guy is right but the cop actually put words and ideas in the woman’s mouth
That police officer lead her to press chargers he wanted to arrest him so bad.
Or or he’s looking out for people because you know alcohol guns and a ruined Marriage totally aren’t a recipe for disaster
Yes, he was getting arrested either way since a gun was involved. Did you bother to watch the end of the video?
IvanPlayStation4LiFe the guy is armed arguing with his wife in a jealous rage n a gun goes off, why wouldn’t he arrest him?
2:33 way the cop was rolling up his sleeve , he was ready for a fight
Good professional police work shown here .
God Bless Our Police Officers. Thank You For Keeping Our Streets Safe
💙 AMEN, GOD BLESS THEM ALL & PLEASE KEEP THEM SAFE 😇🙏👮💙💙💙
This is exactly why you don’t conceal carry a gun in your pocket. Either open carry or conceal carry in a quality holster that doesn’t leave the trigger accessible. Also don’t start arguments when you are armed. De-escalation or avoidance altogether would have been smart here.
How he carried it wasnt the problem, WHAT he did with is was. He clearly lied, I would edit or delete that comment.
"Is she dead?" .... well, in such case, no divorce would be necessary, sir.
She's not dead, therefore I didn't threaten her"
Officer: "Um, it WENT OFF."
That should be the end of that conversation...
I never search these but I’ve been watching these for an hour. I can’t stop
3:10 the cop called the other mans his roommate lolol
Police always take the woman’s side even if she lies that bologna
"Is she dead" why would he say that?!? Gave me chills! He's definitely plotting on taking her out, one of those If I can't have you nobody can situations. Smh!!!! Restraining Order.
Unfortunately I have to agree.
It's an impossibly low bar if your best circumstance is when someone isn't dead.
3:06 the other cop was having flashbacks
Domestic violence on a "what if?" Bruuuhh
It’s an EmoTionAl PaTIoNatTe situation
Oh, well then you're free to go in that case, sir.
What a way to meet a fellow battalion brother
The day a ranger puts another ranger in jail is when Angel's deserve to cry :,(
What are rangers?
Prove the perp is such? A Ranger always ought to do what is right & expect the same of their fellow officers.
I don’t think that guy felt bad about putting him in jail
Yea this is pretty cut and dry. There was an arguement, gun was present, you have been drinking, you had it on you, it went off by accident or on purpose its considered violence. You should know better to have a gun on you while your drinking and arguement. It's never mixed well
It's all about the double standards in a screwed up marriage, do as I say and not as I do.
She needs to move far far away from him!
Now heres a cop thats pretty much just kept it cool throughout the whole thing. Perfect example that not all cops are bad. These guys were treated fairly.
"I'm a Ranger"
Nope, you WAS a Ranger.
Rank-gone.
Ranger-gone.
Wife-gone.
Kids-gone.
House-gone.
Career-gone.
Friends-gone.
Homelessness-5:5 loud and clear.
domestic violence 🤣 i swear if the story was the other way she will walk away like nothing happened and the cop will say ok it’s look like everybody is ok here 🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️
My jaw dropped when his way of justifying the gun going off was “but is she dead?”
Thats messed up. He actually gave the gun to someone else to prevent any anger escalating to where having the gun in hand would cause harm. Its always a Lose Lose situation for us men anyways
Legally, I think this case fails. There is no evidence that he threatened her with the gun.
(Not because it's "bad", but because we've all agreed as a society Menacing is wrong so we wrote laws to protect from it)
If he gets a good lawyer....
And if his friend testifies in his favor....
What is the charge? If she doesn't make an affidavit there is no charge. They trying to get you on anything so they can expand the system in their Authority. I think the biggest problem here is that he talked.
acting surprised after his gun goes off lock him up
His roommate is gonna be dead when he gets out 😂😂
this officer was a ranger? oo id like to hear about that
