Hi Keith, another cracking review, 18 months ago I was looking at the interceptor and decided that the Triumph was worth the extra money as buy the time you had upgraded the suspension, seat, ect on the interceptor there wasn’t enough difference in price. That was before the Super Meteor came out, had I waited a couple of months I would probably have bought the Super Meteor, the improvements over the interceptor in build quality, suspension and comfort are streets ahead, I also think the Super Meteor is a better looking bike than the Shotgun, more traditional and absolutely gorgeous in the green and black. All the best buddy 👍
Hi Mate, I do think the Super Meteor and the shotgun for that matter are an improvement over the Interceptor. It just depends what flavour you like, I like the Super Meteor, just. Mostly down to the Styling. Although prices are beginning to creep up with the improvements, Getting closer to Triumph all the time, price wise 🤔
Great review, always enjoy your content, glad you liked the bike. I have had mine a year now and it is a fantastic bike, I fitted a DNA filter and the bike is like night and day. Low rev range and acceleration is where the bike has benefitted from fitting the filter. I also have two friends with Super Meteors and they too have fitted DNA filters and they agree it is a much better bike to ride. It really is a joy to ride with it being very comfortable. I could keep on writing good things about it....only negative thing about it is the USB is not fitted to the handle bars but hidden away in the side panel. Keep up with the great content 👍
Hi Keith, Rode the Super Meteor for the first time at Crewe Motorcycles RE day yesterday along with the new himalayan and the Shotgun. Much preferred the meteor over the shotgun. The jury's still out on the himalayan as I owned the last one for two and a half years, new one more powerful but less characterful. Keep on tickling pal👍
I am very keen on the meteor I think they look perfect for a cruiser just as I would like to have one built in that exact style I mean Ian a bit mixed between triumph and RE do I pay double the price for the speedmaster which I will say i bought new in 2022 and regretted selling it or go for half the price with RE also the triumph has got twice the power decisions decisions 🤷♂️ who knows I’ve got all the power already with my 2023 triumph rocket 3gt and love the quality of the triumph you’ll have to wait and see by the end of this year I’ll be decided and tell you my choice take care 👋
Great review. I own a blue and white Super Meteor in the touring version and I absolutely love it! A couple of points, the front brake on mine pulls you up alright but the lever is very spongy. As far as the rear shocks are concerned I don’t believe that they are Showa, I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve been told. They aren’t wonderful. I upgraded them to YSS and now the ride has gone from great to sublime. Anyway mate all the best from Tasmania :-)
Hi Mate, thanks for commenting. I think MCN told me that the rears were Showas but I do get confused in my old age. I may well be wrong. ( Again) Great to hear from you from the other side of the world. ride safe 👍
Thanks for commenting. My camera didn't pick him up but he charged down the inside and then started to change lanes on me. Stan was a bit before my time , he was a local boy and a local hero. I think he had his best times at Blackpool. Ride Safe 👍
Excellent motorcycle that I would definitely like in my collection! (I have a 350 Meteor already!) I am really enjoying your videos, and your vlogging is getting better with every episode!
Thank you Steven that's very generous. You were one of the first to encourage me and I want to thank you for that. I understand that you haven't been in the best of health and was pleased to see you say that you were feeling a bit better. Keep strong mate, have you been able to get out of that new scoot yet. Looks wonderful. Ride Safe buddy👍
Not sure what Siddhartha Lal would think of you comparing the SM to a rhinoceros! Think I'd go for a Shire horse, groomed for the show ring. I lean towards the SuMet, but it's pretty much based on looks - and I think I'd want to swap out the shocks for Hagons or something. I figure the Shotgun is more practical with the pillion seat/rack thing, and I like the bobber(ish) look when both are removed - less chrome to polish too. But at the end of the day, as Uncle Stu once told me, "with bikes, always go with you heart not your head" - and I think the Super Meteor has stolen my heart!
Great team as Potteries Motorcycles.
Agreed. Ride safe Mate👍

Good advice I'm sure, a worthwhile low(ish) cost improvement.

I think I prefer the shotgun ( single seat ) I’m not to keen on the shiny bits on the meteor , mind you I’ve yet to ride either . Good review thanks .
Thanks for commenting.
It's whatever flavour you like, couldn't go wrong with either!

Always beware of the white van man. I remember Stanly Mathews a football legend and a hero to us kids 65 years ago.

@@shottostravels Yes he was loyal to Blackpool all his career and was paid a pittance to what the prima donnas get now! A true sportsman.
Absolutely right, I'm 64 now, the end of his career was just before my time.
