    So pleased to see this video come out and your reaction to the new shocks. Questions, questions.. Very much looking forward to the fitting video as well. So here are my questions or comments. First the start up after being away. That was impressive, did you have the battery on a trickle charger or anything like that? My only concern would be the drain on my bike due to the tracker, but a month with no charging was amazing.
    Second. You mentioned the seat. Did you not get someone improvement after your modification and recovering of the seat. Did you not find that your modification helped with your leg height. I am particularly interested in this because it's high on my list of tasks for my SM650?
    Next, the centre stand. Waiting on the fitting video to see how you overcame this so watching for that. However, I had the thought that if the centre stand was not going to work with the new shocks you might consider taking it off and loosing all that excess weight?
    Finally, my thoughts on the Hagon shocks themselves. Personally I would need to get rid of those God awful stickers. Maybe put black shrink wrap over them or something like that, but personally they scream "I don't belong here".
    Very excited to see the Belt Drive video as that looks like a huge mod, but maybe very worthwhile. Will wait for the fitting video, but damn Teacher I think you are going to cost me money 🤯 Great work as always and much appreciated given that this was done with your own money.

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand
      @Teacher-T-Thailand 2 месяца назад +2

      My bike is not fitted with a tracker. And no trickle charge. Just left in the garage as I left it the month previous. Some trackers only track when the bike is in motion, so hopefully disconnect when not? The seat mod has certainly made the seat softer. And more comfortable for the man bits also when moving the bike with your feet. As for leg height, only slightly, but not as noticeable as changing the rear shocks from 310mm to 290mm. As for the centre stand, it comes in useful for wheel cleaning and chain lubing. But even with a belt drive, it does come in handy for the 3,000 km inspection, where you spin the wheel and look for wear. 9 times out of 10, no adjustment needed. But when it does, again the centre stand is handy. So it will stay. Agreed on the stickers on the Hagon shocks! Shrink rap or black electrical tape will sort it. 😂 Compared to the price of a Harley Davidson, some room with money to modify 🙏👌😂

      The standard length for suspension is 310mm. That is original length. As long as you are happy with the seat height, then you can order replacement shocks at 310mm. I ordered 290mm because before hand I was always on top toes. With any shock, you are supposed to change the pre load when a pillion gets on the bike. This stops the bike lowering too much. Same goes for luggage. All the best in Portugal 🙏

      The website where to order is in the video description. And at the 30 second mark of the video you can see the choices and part numbers 🙏

    I’m sure there’s a custom dude looking at making the rear end monoshock

      I doubt it. Would mean redesigning the whole chassis. Easier to just change shocks for better ones 🙏

    Wh wouldn't it start after 30 days? There is no permanant ant theft device that consimes power, The only reason (here un Germany) would be th ba quality of gasoline nowadays, which tends to become jelly :-( .

      Yes very true. And in 40 plus degrees in my garage that can happen very quickly. And that is what I was worried about, as much as the battery. 🙏

      @@TXLorenzo I’m sure I does, or can come off lol. But when on the bike not that noticeable. My initial feelings weee the same. If ordering the lowering shocks, make sure to remove both at the same time before adding the new ones. Watch my fitting video 😂🙏

    You don't say exactly what the problem is with the original shocks. What is the nature of the improvement? My problem with the originals is that the ride is far too hard. Do the new shocks address this problem?

      I have made lots of videos about the rear suspension. My criticism has been constant.nMy first criticism is that setting preload 1 should be banned. All bikes roll out of the showroom like this. Even the lightest of riders will bottom out the suspension on a pot hole on this setting. And the if you change to preload 2 or 3 the ride becomes too hard. I gave them 6 months, and no change. After market shocks are a lot softer, as you can control the damping settings also. A worthy upgrade. 🙏

      @@Teacher-T-Thailand Hi....something must have changed. I am baffled. Straight from the showroom on setting 1, the rear suspension is impossibly hard...or am I getting it wrong and it's actually bottoming out all the time? It FEELS like there's no suspension at all. I weigh 87 kgs. Must do more research and test. And have a chat with Hitchcocks. Thanks for your reply.

      @@SuffolkWoodexactly. it's the bottoming out causing the discomfort. There are 5 preload settings. Setting 3 should stop the bottoming out, but will make the ride a hard one. They look good, but perform terribly.
