Absolutely excellents explanations about treatments and complications of the Eustachian tube! I've been looking at this problem since I had a flight which caused a muffled ear. Had an audiologist test my ears and now referred to ENT. However, I only like natural remedies and solutions and still looking to see what if anything I can do to bring back my hearing!

I'm glad I ran across your blog. Because I am having problems with water getting trapped in my tube. I have past neck surgery. I don't think that was the cause. But problems with vertigo balance hearing. I will visit an ENT. Thank you for enlightening me. 😊😊😊😊

I was diagnosed with Eustachian tube dysfunction after undergoing six hyperbaric oxygen therapy. ENT said it doesn’t respond to depressurization and the typannometry test shows it’s getting worse as is my tinnitus and hearing loss. Tinnitus, which I had before the HBO therapy, has been as bad as ever since the HBO therapy. CT scan has been ordered, and I’ll either get the balloon procedure or tubes in my ears, depending on the CT scan results.

I've got intermittent pain, and if I press UNDER the ear it makes a squidgy squeeky noise like mucus or something. No hearing loss though. Ii can pop my ears normally though. Wtf is going on.

I have ankylosing spondylitis. My neck is fusing. Right ear losing hearing, going on 2 years. Left ear is starting to have the same problems. Doctor says Meniere's Disease. Second opinion please. I believe it's due to my AS.
