Dude. I don’t know if you make any money off these videos but Iv learned more from you than all my ent and neurology doctors combined. The next step for me is balloon dilation and I’m terrified that it might worsen my symptoms so I’m gonna hit it hard with all of your exercises.

Women be aware that perimenopause can cause ear problems due to the drying up of mucus membranes. Estrogen falling affects ENT so much and can cause tinitus , clogged ears, sore ears, itchy ears and hot ears....perimenopause can also affect sinuses and increase allergies due to dryness and this can cause problems with ears like infections etc. Ive been suffering so much because of this lesser know symptom of perimenopause. Never had so much problems now with my ears. So much pain, infection, blocked up...😢

VERY good comment. I imagine you are seeking care from a naturopathic doctor that knows women's health. I really should get a full history before tossing something like this out there but look up hyaluronic acid supplementation. I have used it for women in your circumstance. If you'd like to dig deeper, let's get together on zoom: fieldsfamilychiro.janeapp.com/locations/telehealth/book#staff_member/1

@@dradamfields I was just making women aware of this lesser known symptom of perimenopause/menopause as so many women suddenly start suffering ENT symptoms at this stage in life and don't join the dots. It may not be the reason but just a consideration.
I'm in the UK and cannot afford fees of private consults but I'm getting help from my own medical services but like you said, ear problems are difficult and especially for women who's ear problems are hormonal. Thanks for the reply and suggestions.

Dr. Fields, I cant thank you enough. I have suffered from clogged eustachian tubes off and on for many years. Recently, I've had a clogged eustachian tube for about a month and 1/2. So, I finally went to a local doctor and they told me to take some Zyrtec. Well, that didn't work. So, today I found you and started watching some of your videos. The first video was on messaging different part parts of the ears and skull. So I did that. Then I started watching another one of your videos and honestly half way through the other video I started to get mucus drainage from the messaging technique that I had learned from you just minutes before. Wow!!!! It was so simple, but so effective! I almost cant believe it. Thank you so much. I like that you want people to be more self sustainable when it comes to their health. That's a true sign of a good person.

      1. Low histamine diet
      2. Ancestral supplement colostrum (6 pills/day)
      3. Omne Diem DAO (1 capsule enzyme)
      4. Seeking Health | ProBiota HistaminX (1 a day)
I got my problem after a Keto Diet and consuming Garden of Life probiotics. This will heal your gut and give you back your health, don’t eat:
Pineapple, vinegar, spinach, tea (black-green), coffee, chocolate (specially dark), yoghurt or fermented foods. Just google histamine foods and avoid them, all do I consume them now that I have cured my problem and symptoms are gone after 6 months of doing the above, best of luck hope you can benefit from my experience.

Something is preventing me from “letting go” when I sing and I realize it’s a Eustachian tube problem I believe. Hello from Australia Adam!
Great video, I’ll add some of these techniques to my regime, including your ETD exercises.
However I am feeling with something that seems to be a big unique.
My Eustachian tubes, sphenoid and left maxillary sinus became inflamed approx 20 months ago. Recently I’ve been able to extract copious amounts of hard debris from my right eustachian and some from the sphenoid. They resemble tonsil stones, but ENT has confirmed my tonsils and adenoids are not inflamed and not the cause of the stones. I’ve worked closely with a chiro, naturopath and nutritionist to reduce inflammation. However it’s a very slow process, my left eustachian won’t budge and the sphenoid is stubborn. The right eustachian is completely empty up to the isthmus which is too constrictive to allow the tympanic cavity to clear. Any ideas how I could get the hard build-up out of that area?
Could you tell me more about the oxygen treatment for fungi please? Where can I source it and how do I ensure I don’t breathe it into the lungs when spraying into the nose?
    Kind regards
    Kristie

Beware though that it may make you gag at first. I have another suggestion for you, something that I just tried last night and it really helped me so I've been having success with it all day. I had some of those nasal sticks for stuffy noses in my bathroom and I used one and kept switching from one nostril to the other for like two hours and wow, that really made a difference and it helped me to clear out a lot of congestion and even brought down the volume of my ringing which is being caused by my clogged Eustachian Tubes. I'm not a doctor, I don't know if it's safe so do your own investigating but this is working for me and I'm going to keep at it!! Hi again, Doctor Fields! Thanks so much for your response to my comment on your other ETD video! I actually have watched this one as well haha.
Firstly, thank you so much for helping so many people who aren't even your own patients. I live in Syracuse, New York- not a huge city, but not a small one either. We also have many hospitals in the area, so I figured finding an ENT to help me would be simple. Boy, I was wrong. I have called and called and called- nobody here deals with EDT! So I have been using your videos religiously in attempt to help myself.
My issues started back in 2017 when I, out of the blue, had a severe case of idiopathic angioedema. For roughly six months, I would wake up every other day with a random part of my body so swollen I had to go to the hospital. I was on prednisone for roughly a year and have only had a few issues since. The only lasting damage has been to the tubes in my ears. I don't think I have tinnitus because I only hear a crackling sound and feel fullness when I swallow. Thankfully, I am not in any pain, either. But it has been incredibly frustrating- it is to the point where it is now effecting my day to day life. I plug my ears whenever I have to swallow because I don't want to hear the crackle or feel the fullness. I was lucky enough to find your channel and have watched everything you have uploaded (not just ear issues!). I have had sinus problems my entire life so I find a lot of your information valuable.
And I feel like I am so close, but just can't quite pass the finish line! I have done every technique you showed us in your first video and it feels like things are trying to move in there. I bought a device called a eustachi, but that hasn't helped. I have had doctors flush my ears with no breakthroughs. I have tried ear drops, ear wax remover drops, hydrogen peroxide all with no help. I have taken OTC allergy meds literally every day which haven't made the problem worse, but haven't made it better. I have taken hearing tests and pass them easily, so my doctors shrug me off and say there isn't anything we can do.
Some days are better than others. I psychologically tell myself I won't let it bother me, but it is getting more and more difficult. I have gotten into the habit where I clench my teeth as hard as I can because I can hear it crackle, but that isn't helping. I have dug into my canal until I bleed out of frustration. Nobody here will help me so I don't know what to do anymore. I had one moment I will never forget- I yawned and my left ear completely opened for maybe 30 seconds. As awful as it sounds, I don't remember being happier in my life than I was at that moment. But then it went right back to the fullness and crackling.
Sorry for rambling, but it is almost therapeutic to tell a Doctor who truly cares. It is also amazing seeing how many people suffer from the same issue I do. Knowing I am not alone gives me hope somebody will be able to cure this. Thank you again, Doctor. If you ever find yourself traveling through Syracuse, let me know!

Good Stuff. I have been a Sufferer of Slow Draining Sinus’s causing me pressure headaches behind the forehead and eyes my entire adult life. (singe age 22) I am 58 now. I have been to many specialist, and ENT with Deviated Septum operation at age 33. The pressure has ruined my work (I run a small diner here in Mass) By Nature I am a happy go lucky person and love making others happy, but with this constant issue and feeling plugged all the time my concentraiting, focusing and disposition are all affected. I tried accupuncture, Chiropracter, both helped but temporary. Exercise helped but the rebound headaches are worse when the pressure is to tight. Dry air is worse and dairy seems to make it worse so I barely have any dairy. I eat Whole Food and do my own cooking. No Packaged foods except one ingredient packaged food like Canned tomotoes, beans, etc. I am low carbs and trying to get more protein. No one understands this feeling and it can make my eyes blood shot especially in the mornings. I am Open to any help. I am also a CPAP Patient. Thank You for all you do! Gene from Mass

Dr Fields, I am here because you have sent me this link from your other video. I am desperate to get my father relieved from the pain he is going through. I live in Toronto and my dad just had a cochlear implant on his right ear after he lost his hearing on his right ear..he still does not hear well on that ear.
However the bigger problem is the left ear where NO ENT specialist could figure out what it is.
His left ear is clogged and he gets extremely nauseous constantly and when he pulls on his ear lobe it pops open for about a few seconds and then back to square one.
I am even willing to take him to the US to get him treated.

Dr Fields, can ETD be caused by allergies ? i just moved from MN to SC in November. was loving life until mid January when I caught Covid (im not vaxxed) struggled for about 3 weeks recovered and then in mid February started to get plugged ears, lots of mucus that was not draining but was able to pull through my soft palette, always clear. When I had covid my sinuses were really inflamed, lots of thick bloody mucus but never had an infection or clogged ears, was put on Flonase and it subsided until this February. Up until covid I was doing intermittent fasting but during covid I lost ten pounds i couldn't afford to lose. Doing lots of gentle Valsalva to push air through Eustachion tubes. most time I can hear the air flowing then boom just stops which I assume is air reaching the flexing eardrum. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated

Hello Dr. Fields, I have been having ETD for a month now. I have swollen turbinates in my nose due to deviated septum and was suggested surgery by a few ENT. I usually get dizziness during the rains. I have been taking steam regularly to keep my sinuses clean but doesn’t seem to help now. I also have congested nose, ear popping ( right one only), dizziness and nothing else. What would you recommend? Thanks!

Hello Dr Fields! It is a miracle i have found your videos. I have had a full right ear for nearly 2/3 years now. Reduced hearing, crackling when doing the valsalva maneuver and a feeling of fullness. ENT doctor found nothing to report and suggested it was just hearing loss. Other doctors suggest it is remnant of an ear infection or something to do with hayfever.
Please can you recommend any specialists in the U.K?
What would you advise me to do?
I am going to perform the exercise daily and try adhere to the diet.
Many thanks for your kind contribution to help all of us suffering with this issue that many doctors fail to properly acknowledge.

@Herstorical Tours I’m from the south east of England.
I ended up going to a ENT doctor and he determined after testing that my right ear has a floppy or loose ear drum.
Also that in my right inner ear one of the tiny bones has gone stiff and needs replacing.
He has offered me surgery to fix both these issues which he says should fix my hearing.
      Haven’t had the surgery yet.

Good morning, I’ve had a stuffed ear and sinus issues. I saw the Dr. on Tuesday and finally they looked at the images, she said I had mastoid fluid. I asked what she can do, she said there’s nothing I can do. Frustrated with the the Dr’s. The chiropractor yesterday did something with his finger in my mouth, it felt like he popped a pimple, is that normal? It was painful throughout the day. This is making me depressed, don’t feel like eating, can’t sleep. My second opinion is only in January 2025. Do you recommend I do nasal rinse. HELP!!!!

Doctor, what can we do if we suspect a gaping tube or a semi-gaping tube? I often blew my nose even though there was little in it and had dizziness and therefore often had the Vasalva maneuver. Now I have a constant horrible clicking in my ears when I swallow empty. Or when I suck saliva from the roof of my mouth, it clicks too. I can no longer sleep because then I have to swallow and it cracks terribly loudly in my ears. And I have to stay awake all the time, my heart is racing with tiredness. I don't have a cold. When I blow my nose, my ear opens and there is a reverberation of noises, metallic clanking or similar. What can we do if we suspect a gaping tube, which I have probably created myself? No audiophony, no ear pressure either, but when I burp, the air always flutters very lightly against my eardrums. But the clicking sound when swallowing is life-threatening, like a scratched record, that's what it sounds like. What can we do?

And my doctor said that I have mucus behind my eardrums and gave me decongestant. It's been 3 days now and I haven't noticed any improvement. My ears is still clicking. I do steaming, yawning and even pinching my nose and blowing but there's is still no good result regarding my ear clicking. What should I do?

Hello Dr. Fields. What part of the head or ear do you apply laser treatment? I'm a physical therapist and have tinnitus as a result of the Covid vaccine. I happen to have my own laser unit and considered using it to treat myself but wondered the best areas would be for tinnitus. Mastoid process? I love all your videos. Awe, Diana! Thanks so much. I am getting a lot of emails from people who have tinnitus post jab. In the office, I work manually directly on the nasopharynx but the laser won't make it that deep. (i think). So, I do do some suboccipital laser and directly on the ear. Get on an anit-inflammatory diet and even consider a 72 hour fast to really bring it down quickly.

My ENT told me three years ago to chew gum and keep trying to hold my nose and blow out like a swimmer would to clear their ears and that hasn't helped at all. He said if nothing works he would have to break through my eardrum surgically to fix it. He's saying that my eustachian tube is supposed to open and close as you talk and swallow and mine is staying open in my right ear. He said it's not filled with fluid but air. What are your thoughts on this?

I whacked my head on a large tree branch on vacation. Not knocked out or anything. Hurt a bit but was fine. 3 days later flew home and started getting light headed/fuzzy feeling on and off and a slight fullness feeling in right ear. Very slight off balance feel but not necessarily dizzy. Feel it more with sharp movements. Assumed concussion and seen 2 ENT’s, neurologist, but nothing “wrong” found yet and no definitive concussion diagnosis. Urgent cares did see fluid in ears but ENT’s didn’t. Been low carb diet, lots of anti-inflammatory supplements, tons of water. One month and not getting better. Wondering if it it’s this issue. I did start on Sudafed and seem to be draining from sinuses. Going to try oil pulling and massages and a few other of your tips and see what happens. Thank you!

I need help. I had a respiratory tract infection (lots of mucus build up). Then, on November 12, I got sudden hearing loss (SHL) my hearing is now very low in my left ear (probably 10 to 15%). It sounds like I'm hearing I'm under water or I'm talking in my head. I can hardly make out what is being said when I block my right ear and only hear from my affected left ear. I went to a doctor who prescribed clarithromycin as well as nasal corticosteroids, I've been taking these for 8 days now and I still have hearing loss as well as constant tinnitus in my left ear which started on the same day as my hearing loss (since November 12). I have an appointment with a general doctor tomorrow for a hearing test and an ENT referral, but my appointment with an ENT is only on Nov. 28th, I'm scared this could become permanent hearing loss and permanent tinnitus.

I’m a navy Vet and I’ve been dealing with this for 7 years. Ever since I took my swimming exam in booth camp. I’ve been to the VA and other doctors try and figure out what the problem was and they keep looking in my saying they saw no damage and I should be ok. It’s wasn’t until yesterday 5/18/2021 that found out what ETD was and I felt wow this is what I’ve been trying to describe for years. Now I’m hoping to find someone that can help me get this fixed.

I also used to play loud music but I don't know if my Tinnitus is related to music alone. I've had Tinnitus 24/7 for years.
