  • In this video we show you how to build a polytunnel greenhouse from Premier Polytunnels in the UK, including fitting the polytunnel cover using aluminium base rails and side rails.
Customers ask: “Will I be able to build my own polytunnel?” The answer is yes, you will! Building your own garden polytunnel really is a two person job, so invite a DIY handy friend to join you and get stuck in. (Construction of larger commercial polytunnels can take longer and require extra pairs of hands).
This poly tunnel construction video is 2 hours 15 minutes long, so find a comfy spot to sit and watch and reassure yourself that you can do it!

Absolutely fantastic video. Great quality filming, very clear and an informative commentary. Perhaps best of all, measurements and commentary are in British measurements ie) feet and inches instead of alien metric, usually a ridiculous number of meaningless millimetres!

      Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.
An 18ft wide x 30ft long polytunnel (height of approx 9ft in the centre) needs a cover measuring 11.1m wide x 15m long.
This is based on the polytunnel having a door frame at each end. If the tunnel has a door frame at one end only, please add 2m to the length of cover required.
Full details of our 11.1m wide polythene film can be found on our website: www.premierpolytunnels.co.uk/shop/accessories/polythene-films/thermal-anti-drip-720-gauge/
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any assistance.
      Kind regards,
      Premier Polytunnels
