I'm an Englishman living in the U.S, I just got a position as coach for a team of 13 & 14 year olds, they've not had any success in their playing careers yet, being the worst and 2nd worst in their state for the last 3 seasons. I'm really hoping I can transform them with a 3-4-3, but the problem is here in the U.S they don't really love football as much as we do, so they tend to not watch it much either, So trying to explain things becomes tricky. I'm told most teams here play a 433 as standard so hoping we can really dominate the league this season with some European influence. Appreciate the videos as always.
It all boils down to how to dumb down concepts to the basic level. I also coach a department team within a university. I switched to a 3-4-3 after a 6-match losing streak and tried to dumb down basic knowledge as simple as I can while occasionally taking the opportunity to increase their football knowledge. We went on to make a 6-game unbeatable run before we eventually lost in a cup tie. Hope you can find inspiration form this too. Love to talk to you sometime as well if you have the time
GREAT VIDEO as usual, i think the next formation to cover would be the 3-4-3 or 3-4-1-2, it is hard for a 4-3-3 to penetrate that 5 at the back block, beacuse of the 1v1 situation in the offensive third when the 4-3-3 becomes a 2-3-5 or a 3-2-5. That would be really helpful to now.
Playing the diamond with the Sunday league team I'm coaching this season. Need a DM who is really comfortable on the ball. This player will have more possession than any others. We also use wide strikers so the opposition CBs ultimately are redundant. At this level most CBs don't have the best ball playing ability. Trialled at the end of last season. A 5-0 and 5-2 win both against 433s!
Hi Coach, great video as always! How would you approach double revolving central flankers against a stationary pivot blocker in a typical 4-3-3? I find it difficult to up the counter with such a top-heavy swing backer.... maybe a good idea for your next video! Keep up the great work!
Hi Cameron, fantastic question. Firstly, how are you dividing your quadrants? Personally, I think the central flankers are overkill against a pivot blocker, you'd have much more success with a holding winger attacking the back rank. Counterball situations could be tricky, but as long as all 3 of your centreblockers are in line then you should be rock solid. Good luck!
Excellent video as always. I would appreciate if you make a video on the forgotten WM formation. Its advantages and dis-advantages and why its not used anymore.
Technically speaking the WM structure is still used today, i.e Pep's 3-2-5 attacking structure or any team that uses this attacking structure, while Kloop's 2-3-5 attacking structure is more of a MW formation.
Can you do a formation principles video on 3-4-3/3-4-1-2? My coach changed formations and I cant quite seem to find as good videos as yours on formations about this one.
From your joyous and informative videos i have learnt that the best formation for Liverpool season 2022-2023 is 4-2-3-1.Because no Mane .Firmino couldn't play 90 minutes Salah have Nunez to play with ,Diaz is ok but Mane irreplaceable.
Yes I would love this as well. Maybe also a video on the abilities of a team and how to find a formation that fits their strengths. It would help with realising if you don’t have the players for one what could work with what you have.
great video man , and I'd love if you make a video about a non-typical formation like the 6-3-1 catenaccio formation which was used several times by diego simeone and Helenio Herrera back in the 60s , I guess that's an idea
It’s fairly simple to beat the 4-3-3 by attacking the outsides. You wear down the fullbacks by keeping them running and then to compensate, teams unbalance their center. Then you have them by switching attacks from outside to inside. I dislike the obvious weakness and over reliance on the defense to fix all the mistakes of the attacking players.
i really think a 3-4-1-2 formation will work well aganist a 433... using the full backs approriately to out man the midfield and playing a 10 who drops back to distribute
you can always beat 4-3-3 with 3-4-3 but don't try high press just play a lowblock and countreattack or 4-4-2 diamond also lowblock and countrattack it will be very hard for 4-3-3 to break it down coaches will understand this
I usually tell my boys to counter press and if bypassed, we'll play a low block 5-4-1 In possession we play narrowly and make use of midfield overloads
4-2-3-1 is the best one by far - it can stop, while mastered, pretty much each and every formation, and 4-3-3 has no chance against it - just watch Bayern-Barca 8:2 - a prime example of it…
@@FootballMeta That's a shame. It looks similar to what's used on the Coache's Voice, so I thought it was a specific make. While you're here, thanks for the awesome content you always put out.
I believe the 4-2-3-1 and 3-5-2 that can morph a 3-4-3 can match the strengths of a 4-3-3. A Simeone like 4-4-2 is what I'd recommend though. But I feel like one thing you didn't point out with the 4-3-3 is its high prospect to deploy a false 9 which can cause all sort of problems at the center by overloading the half spaces and even the wings. Also I'd like you to explore more classic formations like the 3-3-3-1 (and similar formations ie 3-1-3-3, 3-3-1-3). When you watch smaller sides in Spain and Italy, they tend to deploy this formations mid match. And I think Leeds in the PL experimented one of them with Bielsa. I'd really love to see a content on that.

You need to come to Kansas City- the soccer capital of the US.
What he said above me! In KC coaching high school soccer and it is competitive

I remember when you didn’t have that many subs, love to see the growth
Conte’s 3-4-3 comes to mind right away
🤔👍👍👍
Does it
What's conte's 343 attacking shape looks like?
The most effective way in my opinion is using a 3-5-2, lockup the centre and disrupt their structure with an aggressive press.
yea shoul do a video on brighton style of play
352 as in 3142 or 3232?
@@umarmars47 it depends 3232 against 433, 3142 against 4231

Insane video mate. Can you please make a video on World Cup 2022 every match prediction?
4 -2 -3- 1 vs 4-3-3

Thanks for listening to my idea. This video was great!
helpful! Thank you! I will share this video with my club teams and use it in my own instruction.
Love the video! Love the channel!
I love your content it’s so useful keep it up.
since 4-2-2-2 is rising in popularity a little, maybe do a breakdown for how to counter this formation?

Love it! Thank you for doing these!!
Yes sir
You are confirming the tactics that we are doing right now
Against a team that builds out in a 4123 formation, High press in a 3412 to completely match up with each player
Or you can high press in a 4 4 2 diamond
Can you do a video on the 4:1:4:1 formation

Hello ..... These is very important but what about if thhe holding midfielder is tied mark
whats the difference between conte 343 and tuchels 343
The most crucial thing to defend a 433 is we must play in mid block to keep their CM stay quiet as long as possible👍👍👍
Can you talk about this formation 3313
Thus 3 defenders and 3 midfielders and 1 attacking midfielder and CF and RWF and LWF
Do a video about 4-1-4-1 and Bielsas Leeds
i really think a 3-4-1-2 formation will work well aganist a 433... using the full backs approriately to out man the midfield and playing a 10 who drops back to distribute
Do you Know about any website like metrica sports were i can use in my Android phone
How to counter the famous 4-2-3-1 could be a nice vídeo.
Christmas Tree analysis please! Ancelotti special
you can always beat 4-3-3 with 3-4-3 but don't try high press just play a lowblock and countreattack or
4-4-2 diamond also lowblock and countrattack it will be very hard for 4-3-3 to break it down
coaches will understand this
The 4-3-3 beat 3-4-3in the midfield (3v2)
Mate why not 442 diamond forward pressing?
Are you going to make a video like this but for 4-2-3-1 formation?
Thanks
Marcelo Bielsa tactics and formation of 3-3-1-3
I like this. And he uses 4141 as well.
Make a review on 4321 2007 ac milan champions league team
I normally use the 5-2-1-2 against it
My football team has seen 90% success rate with it
I usually tell my boys to counter press and if bypassed, we'll play a low block 5-4-1
In possession we play narrowly and make use of midfield overloads
What about 442 Diamond? Is this good, too?

How do one apply 3-3-4 formation. Strength and weakness
5-4-1 is an amazing counter to 4-3-3
Can someone please tell me where I can buy one of those tables?

He is football meta 😂😂
3-5-2 or 4-4-2 or 4-2-2-2
442 diamond tips against 433?
What do u think bout 4-3-1-2
With 2 full backs, 2 center backs, 3 holding midfields, 1 free man, classical 10, 1 fast attacker and 1 classical 9???
532 in defensive phase
Next time I hope it will be 4-2-3-1
I hate 4-2-3-1 it is boring and lacks goals especially when the sole striker isn't prolific.

4-4-2D and a 4-3-3 with a false 9 negate one another, also it's a similar structure but I get your point.
Do you play Football Manager?
I used to, but it took over my life so I had to stop 😂😭
3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2
How come you upload so little?there is plenty of information available to break this material down.
It takes time to edit haha and I have other jobs outside of RUclips
good video . content is given too quick ...
You spelled strengths wrong.
Lol thanks
442
slow down please
Can you explain or do a video on the 5-3-2 formation
