Thank you for the review. I am strongly considering buying those or at least recommending them, in my local kill team group there are a lot of people without terrain, with no time on their hands and no real interest in painting terrain at all. This could solve a lot of problems. What else would I recommend? Octarius? - sold out. Bheta Decima? - strange design to start. The starter set? - no heavy terrain. This might be their starting point
Yup 5 parsecs from home immediately came to mind when I saw this. At some point I am sure this wil be available via 3rd party retailer cause shipping from the UK to USA is too pricey.
Play Core Space a lot, really like the terrain, the only bits I don't get on with are the scatter terrain, the computer desks in CS are a bit flimsy and so I use some plastic ones off etsy. Overall the the walls etc in Core Space and Battlesystems in general are excellent. Great video on a great set
I saw these sets on Wayland game's site and have been strongly considering them for kill team and Infinity. This was a very helpful look of what's in the box, thanks!
Battle System is the best. The amount of things you can build with the core sets is insane. There is nothing else available that allows you to make custom layouts externally as much as internally. I play Grimdark Future Firefight games where you can fight from the interior to exterior of buildings (which is rare for most Firefightgames). It’s even better for custom Space Hulk layouts. Have yet to find a better terrain system
Great video. Big fan of the battle systems terrain for skirmish games. I use the Urban Apocalypse one for Judge DREDD. This will also be ideal for the upcoming Fallout Factions game
Probably a good option for someone like me, who already has more projects to do than time to do them. I’ll have to see if there’s a US stockist on the website. So many of these products seem to be more available, at better prices, in 🇬🇧.
I was totally on board with this until I saw the price. It's $136 CAD. A bunch of printed cardstock for the price of two kill team boxes is absolutely ridiculous. Or for $30 less you can get a kill team starter set. Cool looking product, but you'd have to really love flatpack terrain, really hate painting, or really hate money to buy this 😅
Mate, I live in Oz and our prices for GW products are rediculous. It would cost about $1,000 AUD to buy the same terrain, if not more. What is more important, immersion in a game with terrain that costs a load less than GW alternatives.
I can't think of anything made specifically for 40k outside of this set. They have some great sets that would work great for 40k, though, like the Outland and Galactic sets.
I personally do not like Battle systems terrain, I have both Core Space and Frist Born, It just doesn't hold up well to long term use. It tears easily and I find myself constantly have to do minor repairs. If it was just a bit thinker it would be golden.
Personally, I utterly despise this stuff. For me, the two dimensional aspects of this completely destroy immersion and make me feel like I'm watching a video game. That being said, I bet most people don't have the same reaction to it that I have. This is probably amazing terrain for most players. For the price, you can't build a better looking table and I think it's awesome that products like this are being highlighted on a channel that focuses on Games Workshop products.
Doesn't appeal to me but GW's terrain game has been weak atm especially for warcry and Killteam they need to make some generic terrain they sell for the whole "season"/edition
I've bought loads of their sets in the past and really like them. For immersive gameplay with battlefields full of interesting terrain, they are brilliant. The mat flattens out once it's been rolled up for a bit.

flatpack terrain isn't for everyone but this looks pretty damn great, I really want to send you some of my terrain soon to see what you think about it
Looking forward to it, I replied to your email you sent today 👊

Looks good! Fab review. What I like is, it’s ready to rock straight away.

Exactly👍
This looks great! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! Oh yes, I heard about that today, looks great!
Looks quite good and definitely very flexible and time saving 👍🏻
I had not seen stuff from this company, looks very good, and I may well get some.
I have the city core but this in my wish list with city runes and junkyard set on there way
Fantastic recommendation, and looks like my FLGS in the US has these. Far better option for me trying to get into the game vs the recruit set. Thanks!
Great, glad the video was helpful, have fun putting it all together!

Have you seen TinkerTurf? Similar product from a US company. I'm a big fan.
This looks nice . Maybe a little more space saving also . Only thing is the price is a bit steap though .
If you are in the UK you can get some nice discounts with the online retailers linked below 👊
@@tabletopskirmishgames no brexit screwed up a lot for ordering out of uk :(
@@bane9179battle system is based in the UK. I got the frontier core set for $80 on Amazon.
Not as steep as GW.
how thick are the sheets?
Looks like this would work well with TinkerTurf!
Never heard of that before, so had a look and that would be perfect for Necromunda!

I know gaming is expensive in Canada but where else are you going to get this much terrain for that?

Would getting a few of them work for 40k or do they have sets tailored for larger war games?
I can't think of anything made specifically for 40k outside of this set. They have some great sets that would work great for 40k, though, like the Outland and Galactic sets.
I'm wondering, could you replace octarius terrain with this one? 🤔
I think you could build this to match the shapes and sizes of Octarius
@tabletopskirmishgames well, u should receive my set shortly, will at least try. Thanks for the answer!
This isn't bad...

Like this, but I have found BS terrain does not break down easily. I store it built.
It’s only the scatter terrain ur talking about, right?
The game is even better than the terrain in my opinion.
What is your problem with me having money Tabletop skirmish games?
🤣

You say that the recent kill team terrain is disappointing but then you showcase this cardboard crap with a wrinkly mat.
The battlesystems cardboard terrain is actually excellent.

For me I don’t mind the mat. It’s about the walls and pillars etc. And so far I’m impressed
What are you talking about? It looks great.
