This game highlights how important initiative can be. One of the good changes in the new edition is that when you lose initiative you get a second CP which helps offset the advantage of going first.
Heck yeah! Finally some more KT content. If you're a Warhammer player and haven't yet played KT, now is a great time to get into it. It has become my favorite warhammer tabletop game, so good. GW's best game.
More Kill Team please! Your 40k vids are excellent as always, but this such a refreshing change of pace. Travis was great (and Nick is always excellent)!
Crazy game! Super glad it also got to show off niche things like the Flamer and the indoor rules, or the Neutron Radiation DOT effects! Thanks for playing KT again!
16:03 The Marksman probably shouldn't have died. Unless Im mistaken, the rules says that Aquilons after dropping is obscured until the next activation or turning point, so Nick's longsting crits would not activate since the marksman is still obscured
@@jinofthesheep thats not how this interaction works, the marksman would be obscured until the end of the turning point or until its next activation. so no crits period, as well as a successful hit being removed. small mistake but huge difference in results IMO
The fact you get everything you need for 2 people to play in one box is Insanely awesome for a GW product. I like Kill Team and I'm trying to get into it more but they jave so many random things you need to know like how flames down more because they're inside and stuff. Watching people play feels like Yugioh season 1 where everyone just says stuff lol
Awesome battle report! One thing Nick said that was wrong though. All operatives are setup at the beginning with a conceal order. You’re able to change an operatives order in the first TP now.
Great job on the batrep and great job for Travis going out there to teach the new edition! It would be nice to have more Kill Team content in the future (please?)!
Fantastic content. Please keep bringing people in for more kill-team games. Why not a whole season like last time? At that point you will have the game down pat and will be able to make more content on a running basis.
Great video guys! Clutch games are always a huge joy. Sidenote: Looks like GW rules writers have done everything they could to make a nice and simple game system needlessly complicated. The amount of command points spent reminded me of late 40k 8th. The GW board also made sure to put kill team on a 3 year cycle so the investors can enjoy the money rain. The few sensible changes, this edition seems to offer could have been solved with a data slate or proper rule writing in the first place. I'm sure however, they add this quirky rule writing, so they have something to justify the next edition where the fix on half of the rule set and break the other. I stick to my KT2.0 and keep on watching these fun matches.
Travis is a great ambassador for the game. I enjoyed how much you two enjoyed the game! ... I will say as a non KT player, the rules seem a bit complicated and intimidating.
Absolutely fair, it definitely requires a “how to” or to play through a learning game in order to understand some of the terms/logic. I promise, after a game it’d make sense, whilst the new edition has coop and solo modes to help.
Answered in other comments - the rule applies for valid targets and the one Nick shoots at that point is the nearest valid target. Hope that helps explain why.
Great Report ! But you get final scoring wrong. When you are higher on kill op tally then your opponent you score 1 Victory Point. So aquillons won 12:11😊. CRUSH THEM BUUGS !!
I don't see anything in the rules about "Drop Insertion" letting you move your troopers for free (as shown in 9:35 ). I thought only drop markers can be moved. Am I missing something? "As a STRATEGIC GAMBIT in the first and second turning point, you can move your Drop markers up to 4", measuring the horizontal distance only."
It’s an ability that the troopers have. Rapid Insertion: STRATEGIC GAMBIT in the first Strategy phase. Each friendly TEMPESTUS AQUILON TROOPER operative wholly within your drop zone can immediately perform a free Reposition action, but must finish that action wholly within 3" of your drop zone. Hope that helps!
MORE KILLTEAM CONTENT PLEASE!!! Awesome!
YESSS PLEASE DO MORE KILL TEAM
yeah more pls
This
Ohhh shitttt, the geonosis are back at it again
I understood that reference
*Geonosians
"Bring in the flamethrowers!!"- The defenders of peace and justice.
Awesome! More Kill Team! Bring back Andy from Glass Half Dead and Travis and go 2v2 using the multiplayer rules!
YES YES PLEASE!!!
Great to have killteam back on the channel ! As always, love Nick's energy in every game, it definitly sets you right in the action
Damn that Travis with his New York power and aerial skill!
So glad you got back into killteam been looking forward to trying it myself!
Yes, yes, YES! I am beyond hyped to see Kill Team back on this channel! I hope you guys do more in the future! Wonderful video!
Won't need me this edition. Smashed it as always, chaps!
Wholesomeness is always needed

Lotta vespids joining the 1hp gang in this game, great match!
I'm commenting before premiere and might tune in during stream, but GOD I LOVE WHEN THE TERRAIN VERTICALIZES
This! Although GW could’ve done so much more witg this terrain, but definitely a step in the right direction (like terrain used to be).
Haha terrain go vertical
Vespids also great
A great battle report as always and really appreciate Travis explaining the rules in such a concise way.
Travis was a great choice for this.
That beginning sequence before the turning point was brilliantly explained! Well done guys
Please more Killteam!!!
I am so sad I missed this, but glad I just found it. PLEASE MORE KILL TEAM

I absolutely love it, amazing game and brilliant community (that’s only growing bigger every event that’s run…bigger than AoS too)
More Kill Team please! Your 40k vids are excellent as always, but this such a refreshing change of pace.
Travis was great (and Nick is always excellent)!
There’s another episode coming, totally agree that Travis is awesome
yall got travis!! glad you guys had a chance to meet him and record this batrep for us 🎉 one of the top players in the US for sure!
Crazy game! Super glad it also got to show off niche things like the Flamer and the indoor rules, or the Neutron Radiation DOT effects!
Thanks for playing KT again!
Great video. Very informative, very entertaining, and very respectful of the viewer. Amazing content!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks a lot ! It was really cool to see some Kill Team on your channel !
Play On 💪
16:03 The Marksman probably shouldn't have died. Unless Im mistaken, the rules says that Aquilons after dropping is obscured until the next activation or turning point, so Nick's longsting crits would not activate since the marksman is still obscured
It’s a small error and they would’ve just activated the shooter later, so it would’ve still had the same conclusion
@@jinofthesheep thats not how this interaction works, the marksman would be obscured until the end of the turning point or until its next activation. so no crits period, as well as a successful hit being removed. small mistake but huge difference in results IMO
Really glad to see you guys covering the new edition of killteam, hoping to see some more content on it from you guys!
More to come!
Please keep doing kill team content. I loved your last series and was sad that it never came back. I was hyped as soon as this video hit my feed
Production values are great on this, more Kill Team please ;)
I NEED THIS SAME VIDEO, but with the new starter box!!!! PLEASEEEEEE
Nick's positive mood is always so infectious
This version of Kill team looks much more epic than the 2nd edition
This is such an awesome battle report. Keep it up guys!

Oh snap you guys got Travis! He’s so well spoken 😮 Here’s hoping you guys have him back for more killteam eventually!
Awesome battle report! One thing Nick said that was wrong though. All operatives are setup at the beginning with a conceal order. You’re able to change an operatives order in the first TP now.
Love the look of the new Vespid! High quality game as always, Play On is definitely my go to for all things warhammer!
Love the Ender's game reference! Now I have to get Vespid for a killteam!
22:54 this member of the 1-HP Gang was brought to you by...
Loved the Batrep and would love to see more Kill Team on the channel in the future!
What a game!! Great to see kill team back
Nick doing tactial point scoring for once instead of rushing to kill ❤
Great job on the batrep and great job for Travis going out there to teach the new edition! It would be nice to have more Kill Team content in the future (please?)!
There’s another episode coming
We NEED more Kill Team! Travis was great, I'd love to see him in another episode of Play On!

Fantastic content. Please keep bringing people in for more kill-team games. Why not a whole season like last time? At that point you will have the game down pat and will be able to make more content on a running basis.

What a solid game, good job fellas!
Digging the beard!
Come on nick! You're playing bugs that need to be exterminated, so obviously it's Tempesticides. 😜❤️😎👍

Loving all the content these last couple of day
ERE WE GO!
Good to get your take on KT.
Cool game thx. But can please someone explain how he was able to shoot beyond 8 inches without using communion point with his warrior at 11:11
The 8" restriction applies to shooting the closest model.
Answered in other comments - the rule applies for valid targets and the one Nick shoots at that point is the nearest valid target. Hope that helps explain why.
Does anyone know where you can buy that skull blood stamp that's on @ 14:10?
Awesome Video.
For The Greater Good!!!!!
Ok vespid looks good but, for the emperor
