One terrain setup that is often overlooked is actually the Arena board from old KT. Easy to bring in a shoulderbag including the doors and your team, and everyone knows what the layout is beforehand. Setup is how fast you dare to fold out the board :)
Any set of Into the Dark walls will give you enough walls for two open boards. I bought one such set when somebody was selling just this part of the box and built a fully functional abandoned jungle outpost board with a half of it and the other half will be used for a winter themed board. Just glue some platforms on top. You can pile the walls on top of each other for higher Vantage Points too
I wouldn't go as far as to say you don't need Vantage Points. Not only do they provide a soft (positioning-based) counter to Conceal but an important Tac Op is tied to Vantage points being on the table and far enough from the Drop Zones.
Since no one mentioned it yet: Archon Modular Terrain is great. Very modular and very clear to see what terrain does. The only downside it has: a bit too much heavy terrain.
Why is the board at 4:50 or so better after the change? I accept that you know what a good board should look like, but I'm not sure how to apply that to my own board setups without knowing why one is better. I see it offset from the center, so that's more asymmetrical. Why swap those particular pieces of terrain?
What is the terrain set with the octarius buildings called? I got the starter set and the octarius book after, but i cannot find the actual vantage point terrain anywhere. (Europe)

I have so many sets of ITD terrain, I suppose making them into viable terrain for open play is a sensible step!
getting addicted to the triple hello
Thank you. Very helpful as a newcomer trying to cobble bits together
Great video on terrain and thank you for all of your content!
Thank you for watching!
Excelent Video !!! Thank you for doing this !!
The Necromunda Fuel Tanks look like they would be pretty cool in a killzone.
Little plastic trays, bowls and tubs make decent terrain. You can even get fancy and paint them and glue them to little cardboard bases.
Really enjoyed this... Super helpful guide... Will definitely apply some of these tips with the KT group I play with... Thank you!
Double thank you for all the great info.
Great video! I’m about to start playing kill team again after a break and terrain is always intimidating.

I agree. Having two levels adds so much to the game. If you want to play on a single level we have the Into The Dark terrain.
Really helpful video, I am terrible at setting up terrain.

Team Girth Gang Squad brings its respect 🫡
Some nice girthy terrain
Im seeing DOUBLE here! 4 Andys! 😮
Hot take, Virtigus is better than Octarius. Sadly it's also out of print.
Vertigus is good for sure. But yeah can't get it. This is the current problem with gw terrain!
Nobody expects the Girthy Inquisition
nice informative video
A double Girth Daddy!

I believe the box with the terrain is called the Octarious Killzone
It is difficult to find, too popular.
Triple goodbye!
Sacrificial comment for the algorithm gods.
