Most times you just commit die in the first 30 secs of the match while damaging like 20% enemy's health.
See that's my complaint. Very few matches are back and forth it's usually being destroyed one way or being the destroyer. Needs work but I still have a lot of fun playing it
When you get that dream team of 3 people who are all about equal skill and every match (even when rotating) goes to best-of-5 though, it's amazing. IdSoft plz just implement better matchmaking so lower level players aren't just immediately put off this mode the first match they play

Archviles are either a pathetic aitting ducks or annoying shits to play against. Fire walls on choke points and using the teleport well can destroy the slayers spirit. The upgrade to make the lake of fire do the funi vulnerable is crucial too, ballista shots go from 500 to 375 and tox becomes 18 damage per tic. Very cool
Archvile is the most powerful of the demons if you know how to use it well. Always keep your teleport ready, and keep out of sight from the Slayer. A trick I personally use is to let my fellow demon out pressure on him and teleport myself just behind him while he's retreating and throw up a flame wall to both corner and damage him. Then immediately cast lake of fire and with Broiling heat equipped, it's almost always a guaranteed win
Archivile Strong suit is the fire wall with the reflect upgrade, if the slayer gets too close just pull up the wall and watch the slayer kill themselves with a ballista shot

I once got steamrolled by a slayer that was VERY good at moving around with all of his movement abilities. He also had the gold Slayer Armor all the weapons. So yeah, he hit us like an 18 Wheeler full of boulders.

first game I ever played I just beat campaign on hurt me plenty and a few levels on nightmare and I thought I was bad cause the VERY FIRST MATCH I played was against a level 200 ultra nightmare finisher
I like how nobody seems to know that if you’re an archvile or a mancubus it’s a free win if the slayer takes the teleporter on tundra, you can trap him in the little room and delete his ass
Whenever I play slayer I always get paired up with double golden marauders but when I play demon I go up against golden makyr skin aimbot with a 2 year old as my teammate

The Mode is just so weird. As someone who mastered slayer mechanics youjust quickswitch a deamon in 2 seconds and win.
I joined battle mode late so now all the demons are level 1000 and I can't beat them as slayer
