I can't believe how massively underrated this game is. It got developed with so much effort and the soundtrack got so much quality. And even though this game just got lost.
Not to mention it had some of the very same legendary talent behind the Final Fantasy games. This could've been the Wii's own version of the Final Fantasy series, yet now it just lies there, virtually forgotten. It's sad, but at least us, the fans, will never forget it!
Unfortunately, this game came at the end of the Wii's life span, the same is true with Xenoblade but Xenoblade came out a year earlier and a sequel was in the works for the WiiU which brought light to the original. Last Story isn't as lucky.
I just got it back for the wii because my original copy was lost. I cried when I heard the music. After 5 years, I finally had my first wii game back. The game that started my love for gaming. The game that had so many diverse characters that I loved. I'm so happy to have it back again.
Every time I get nostalgic for this game and get sad not many people know about I remind myself that Zeal and Calista are in smash. They’re just spirits but the fact that they’re in such a big game makes me so happy.
I remember the Operation Rainfall days. This was the game I wanted most out of the 3. Through this game I found Xenoblade and Pandoras Tower. I'm glad Xenoblade has made it big, but I'll never give up hope The Last Story will make a resurgence. My favorite Wii game, hope Mistwalker and Nintendo dont forget it...

elo zone Nobuo Uematsu is phenomenal, but there are also so many others like Koji Kondo, Yoko Shimomura, Hirayuki Sawano and even Joe Hisaishi who are masters at composing.
Monster Hunter Tri, Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Pandora's Tower, No More Heroes and its sequel, Super Smash Bros BrawlPokemon Battle Revolution and Twilight Princess were pretty good
the wii had a phenomenal lineup of exclusive titles if youre willing to look. theres at least 50 or more great games. dont be a sheep and diss it just because the only games you saw at wal-mart were party game shovelware that grandma bought because she doesn't know any better. its a highly underrated library of games despite its reputation.

Mother games have been very important to me, and 2019 was a hard year. Until November-December I wanted to study music and used to listen to every single disc I could. Mother's OST wasn't an exception. And there, listening to a song of the Mother 3 OST, this got in the similar videos recommendations, so I said to myself "that's probably because they're similar. Let's give it a try". And God... Oh my Lord... I cried with no reason. This was too emotional... And, as a music student, I knew this wasn't a very hard piece, not a complex one, it didn't have strange things... But it made me cry without even knowing what was it about... And that's not easy, and that's something I appreciate and everyone should do. And when I felt bad in 2019, this song was with me. I downloaded the game because just having listened to this song, I knew it was a masterpiece. My original plan was to play it during 2019 winter holidays but I couldn't. Now that I'm ok at school (close to being homework free yay) I'm definitely playing this game. Every single comment u read about it makes me feel more and more right thinking it is a masterpiece. I hope my Wii and I have a good time with it. Also now that I listen to this after months (on August 2019 I started to feel better and better, and I probably didn't do since November or so) I remember why I wanted to study music. And I know this probably won't be my future now, but if everything's right, I'll study it anyway. I don't cry anymore, but still get shocked. Brilliant song.

Then I completely forgot about the Wii. I started playing less than an hour ago (I still am in the begining) and looks cool. The atmosphere isn't -yet- what this song made me think, but I still believe that it's gonna be worth it at the end. A really big thanks for making me remember

I think that there should be a prequel at the point of time when Zael and Dagran had just started the mercenary gang. There can't really be a sequel because it would ruin the whole last story title.

The later games are sorta-sequels to the original, even if the original meaning was ironic. (Final Fantasy was such a surprise success it saved the company...allowing them to make more Fantasy games). The irony here is that The Last Story is the last game Mistwalker made before they went mobile. It has ironically become their Last Story. Fucking Sakaguchi and his irony.

I may need to give it another go, if I can find a copy somewhere, because I remember enjoying what I played, and the music is great

For me this game and Pandora's Tower were a system seller. This song can match anything from Studio Ghibli.

First of all Gusty Garden Galaxy is better than anything Kondo has done and Besaid is better than anything that Uematsu has done.
