The G90 sits exactly under the German brands, next to the Lexus LS, and the Volvo S90. They specialize in luxury, whereas the German brands add a spice of sportiness. I wrote a comment earlier (deleted) about how this and the MDX Type S Ultra are missing that Sportiness and horsepower to be compared to the German brands, but they are just not in the same league. The MDX Type S Ultra brand new is priced about the same as a 2 yr old X5M, but you can't compare the two. Comparing a bran focused on comfort and luxury, and sportiness as a last resort, whereas BMW, Mercedes, and Audi has sportiness as their second or third priority. Which explains why the S Class and 7 Series are always 20-50k more than the G90, S90, and LS. They add better suspension, handling, beefier stuff, higher performing engines and tuning, the software, so on and so fort, all while remaining innovative in tech and design to adapt to newer eras. The G90 is priced just right.

Genesis and other manufacturers wanted to ensure wireless data security/privacy was fool-proof before adopting. It is currently available in some Hyundai/KIA/Genesis models but it appears adoption is impacted by the head unit and bluetooth drivers installed. @@chrispnw2547 Hmm, well I had no clue as to all of the technicalities, so thx for the heads up🙂. Why do you think it's avail. on so many other lux car brands then (& are thy addressing said issues)?
@@bretthollingsworth9866 It varies by manufacturer. There was a time when BMW only supported Apple devices and not Google devices. I totally agree. The future of luxury is definitely going electric. A G90 is a luxury car, not a sports car. People don't care for the constant engine sound while driving.
A family member has a 2020 G90. Beautiful car on the "surface" when new. However all of the "surface" luxury does not age well. Much worse than a comparable Merc or Bimmer, IMHO. The plastic around the leather seating is starting to separate from the seat as well as the leather door grab on the driver side. The tan leather color "treatment" is beginning to discolor on both passenger driver side after only a couple years. His A/C compressor crapped out at 35k miles. Weird clicking noises coming from the front end (CV axle) at 39k. And despite it's luxury appontments and surface luxury touches the switches still feel cheap to the touch and not the same level of tactile feel as Audi, Lexus, Merc, or Bimmer. Does the competition have problems? Sure. But at this price point you would expect more solidity. The ride feels much floatier (and less connected to the road) and less solid than comparable luxo barges in this class. Doesn't feel as luxurious or of bespoke quality as a comparably priced German or Japanese luxo barge. All of this car's "gimmicks" don't add up to the sum of it's parts. And after a couple of years the ride quality deteriorates. Just my families' experience. This car is worth $70k the most new. Hyundai has come a long way since the 80s. Yet this G90 is not on the same level as the German or Japanese competitors. It's just not. You don't get the same driving solidity or satisfaction from this car as it's German or Japanese competitors, IMHO. And don't get me started about the dealer or service experience compared to Lexus. This is one of the major pain points of the "Genesis experience." Drive one for yourself and form your own opinion. This is just mine.

How are the new dune movies? I enjoyed the books.
10/10
100k car no car play. I’ll pass on this one (saying this with my -$3 and microwave ramen)
It has carplay, just wired.
Of course it has carplay and android auto.
Idk why most cars not having wireless Apple car play? Like we are paying so much on vehicles these days we should have it . Beautiful car fr though i live genesis designs
You're worried about apple carplay in a car like this. People who buy this won't care, I wouldn't.
@@tempestsquall5882 worried? No. If i had a G90 i wouldn’t care. I’m simply stating they should just include it. Doesn’t hurt the car by not having it but would add to it if it did. Genesis isn’t the only brand not including wireless CarPlay in their new vehicles. It is what it is though at the end of the day
I am so puzzled about the no wireless car play.
No wireless car play!?! What?
They should’ve tried romance mode.
The only thing that I dislike of this vehicle is the steering wheel. In my opinion it is ugly but other than that the vehicle is awesome.
Lacking wireless car play isnt a deal breaker, but damn was the unexpectedly disappointing
There was an update and it has wireless capability now.
This was such a cute date omg
Hyundai dealerships and service are the worst though. They really need to make Genesis it's own brick and mortar stores.
Now let's see Paul Allen's light temperature
So bizarre to have hit such an out-of-the-park homer and NOT included wireless carplay lol?! It's over 100k, would another 2k have made a difference? Great car & reaction, oddly stupid omission that stands out like a sore thumb.
Genesis and other manufacturers wanted to ensure wireless data security/privacy was fool-proof before adopting. It is currently available in some Hyundai/KIA/Genesis models but it appears adoption is impacted by the head unit and bluetooth drivers installed. These vehicles are sold globally and EU GDPR regulation must be met. Google: 'Connected vehicles and the GDPR'. If the car has external connectivity, your information on your mobile phone may NOT be secure when used wirelessly in the vehicle.
I remember someone mentioning BMW was not comfortable with Google's data gathering schemes at the time.
Each company decides how much of your information they consider private. Some even sell your data for $$$$.
23:14 Walter White a car 😅
This is easily my favorite car in this class. If they ever made an electric G90 with decent range that would be amazing
I totally agree. The future of luxury is definitely going electric. A G90 is a luxury car, not a sports car. People don't care for the constant engine sound while driving.
this thing will breakdown witin 100k miles
People that can afford it won't keep it that long. And most probably will end up leasing.

I'm sorry but choosing to have a knob for both the infotainment system and gear selector is dumb
When a Korean car does old school American luxury better
good for mice and men…..
Imagine paying over $100k for a gas vehicle lol
Are you being serious?
@themoviebay very. Gas cars are such old technology. My car drives me to and from work everyday flawlessly
No v8🤔?
Go buy a Jag….oh wait
The 2022 G90 had a 5.0 v8
