I love how individually not one member looks like some "rockstar," they all just look like cool fucking people who got together to jam one night after work and never stopped... Fantastic performance. Great band!
@@AudioTones67 Honestly I think its entierly down to taking the room into the mix. You can tell that this has the reverb of the room in the vocal and drums which makes it sound much more live and real. The Triple J Like A Version is much more of a studio sound. All the reverb is artificial added in post/as a wet mix. Also the vocal has much more compression on it which is why it sits ontop more. You wouldn't be able to do that in the same way to this vocal as it would bring up all the room noise on the vocal. Not saying its bad, just its a diferent thing.
Man, how time flies. I got married in the summer of 07 and this song was our summer jam and our go to jam for 10 yrs. Unfortunately life happens and things didn't work out. But this song will always bring back the happy times we had. Thanks for the jam!
My high school physics teacher would play this after exams sometimes. He would also play under pressure by queen as the exam started. Still don't know shit about physics, but 10 years after high school, I do remember that 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The build up and breakdown at 3:10 and at 4:56 is f>cking amazing. And the way the lead singer plays lead and rhythm on guitar. Wow.God bless Brian and his lazy eye.
Just read a minute ago where he said in an interview that the Sheraton is the guitar that he can't break away from because it feels right. I currently have a custom shop p93 riviera and I have to agree with the man. Just something about those Epi hollow bodies. Great guitars.
I've always liked them but after seeing them preform live in a few videos I've gained a new found respect for the silversun pickups. you can really tell they're talented. great song, great band!
The true measurement of how good a band is, is how good do they sound live. This band is fantastic. Truly the most under rated band of the 21st century.
I had given up on "alt" music in the early 2000s and these guys/gal made me feel that excitement again.. Love the sound of his voice and arrangements.. reminds me of the early 90s explosion.
this song travels time; reminds me of my dark times and getting so angry with life and now..DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT TO BECOME HAPPY. despite the pain.
I will always mourn the death of rhythm games like Rockband. I played it sooo much as a kid. It planted a seed in me of loving music, and as an adult it inspired me to actually learn guitar a few years ago. It's awesome.
Terry Hesticles I love guitar center sessions..always sounds damn good..but not perfect some mistakes still there to let you know its not a lip synch gig...can't beat the sound of a raw snare
I've been waiting I've been waiting for this moment all my life But it's not quite right And this real It's impossible if possible At whose blind word So clear but so unheard I've been waiting I've been waiting for this silence all night long It's just a matter of time To appear sad With the same old decent lazy eye Fixed to rest on you Aim free and so untrue Everyone's so intimately rearranged Everyone's so focused clearly with such shine Everyone's so intimately rearranged Everyone's so focused clearly with such shine Lost and loaded Still the same old decent lazy eye Straight through your gaze That's why I said I relate I said we relate It's so fun to relate It's the room, the sun, and the sky The room, the sun, and the sky I've been waiting I've been waiting for this moment
I'm pretty cool with using this as an example of music should any supernatural entity be curious...this is seriously top level props to band and the production
To be able to play guitar like that & dance @ the same time. I could definitely hear some influence on some portions of the lead guitar, but that great player did not dance in time to it the way Brian does. Wow! Every song this band puts out is beautiful.
Nah, not even a huge SP fan (only having heard some of siamese dreams and butterfly bullet wings) but I could easily tell the SP influences on silversun pups (damn even same initials), plus a little bit of "loveless" sprinkled in there with that outro fuzz guitar jam
one of my all time favorite songs. I got to see Brian and Nikki perform at Easy Street Records in Seattle and they are just great people with amazing talent. I love that every live version of this song is different. keep it up!
I've discovered Silversun Pickups with this song in Guitar Hero World tour, Then I dive into the album caming from, I have loved and been amazed every single second from this record. Then I bought all their discographia and keep going on every time a new album is made. I love you so much, you are one of my fav band ever, the few ones that I can listent to any song, whatever the order without loving eatch track. Big up and Love for you SP, thank you for everything
I love how individually not one member looks like some "rockstar," they all just look like cool fucking people who got together to jam one night after work and never stopped... Fantastic performance. Great band!
Like nirvana
P Hetz as a drummer, the drummer is always over looked
true
My favorite song right now.
It's is the best definition ever
Whoever is mixing the sound on these Guitar Center Sessions deserves some serious credit. They always sound absolutely fantastic.
Except the lead vocals are indecipherable for most of the song. Check out Triple J Like A Version videos for really well mixed live sessions.

100% agreed
Agreed!
Very true it always sounds fantastic. Their videos are my go to for an example of a great live song
*When the IT Department guys get together to jam... Fantastic!*
hahahaha
Severely underrated comment!
Laughs in tech supp!
🔥🤣🔥😂🔥🤣🔥
This band is so underrated. SO MANY GOOD SONGS!!
Big time
insane live
Man, how time flies. I got married in the summer of 07 and this song was our summer jam and our go to jam for 10 yrs. Unfortunately life happens and things didn't work out. But this song will always bring back the happy times we had. Thanks for the jam!
I've heard this a hundred times, and the bass holds it down so it doesn't drift away. So cool. Cool as hell.
My high school physics teacher would play this after exams sometimes. He would also play under pressure by queen as the exam started. Still don't know shit about physics, but 10 years after high school, I do remember that 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He sounds like a sweet dude 🤣🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘a warm hello from new Zealand 🌿
goose bumps, i love this song. Didn’t know the singer was male, that’s wild!
SAME!
The guitar player is just fucking jamming and riffing it’s awesome
Brian's guitar parts are very well orchestrated on this song, it's always the right lick at the right time.
The build up and breakdown at 3:10 and at 4:56 is f>cking amazing. And the way the lead singer plays lead and rhythm on guitar. Wow.God bless Brian and his lazy eye.
OMG goshawk I am not dreaming about it it’s real!!!
@@josephstock9128 yeah, I freaked when I realized
😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
love how he's always rockin an epiphone guitar. Like you don't have to take out a loan to rock out.
Just read a minute ago where he said in an interview that the Sheraton is the guitar that he can't break away from because it feels right. I currently have a custom shop p93 riviera and I have to agree with the man. Just something about those Epi hollow bodies. Great guitars.
No but you do need pedals :)
...another cool thing i just learned is that it was actually Christopher's! (The drummer!)
I have ‘97 Korean made Sheraton and I can attest to their quality and versatility .
It’s a 93 Epiphone Sheraton. Way better quality than what is produced today and now they are pretty pricy.
Nikki is amazing! She has such talent and class! The whole band blends well.
Listening to this song never gets old.
I've always liked them but after seeing them preform live in a few videos I've gained a new found respect for the silversun pickups. you can really tell they're talented. great song, great band!
They really knocked it out of the park for this performance. I don’t think I’ve heard this song played better than it was here.
This is one of the best recordings of this song performed live in terms of quality
The true measurement of how good a band is, is how good do they sound live. This band is fantastic. Truly the most under rated band of the 21st century.
What a song. Still listening in 2023.
Rough days always made better by listening to this magic.
Best version I have heard of this song! AMAZING
Definitely my favorite at this point.
They sound like if Billy Corgan wrote Sonic Youth songs.
Not the worst peeps to draw inspiration from.
only better
This song doesn't sound like Sonic Youth in a billions years, try to listen more music mate.
I saw Silversun in LA with Snow Patrol and OK-GO! Great show!
love when nikki is dancing
She is awesome.....love female bass players!
McCoy Elizabeth Flo from progressive? 😂😂lmao
McCoy Elizabeth this is the first time iv commented on RUclips but that is the funniest comment iv ever read and can’t help myself! So true
She’s standing still and nodding her head a little bit, not really dancing 😅
Sexy as!! ❤️🤘🏻
This is probably the best live version
Best version ever.
Damn what a performance
My favorite song on Rock Band... all the parts were fun to play. R I P Rock Band.
I will always mourn the death of rhythm games like Rockband. I played it sooo much as a kid. It planted a seed in me of loving music, and as an adult it inspired me to actually learn guitar a few years ago. It's awesome.
F-ing masterpiece!!!
With The Offspring clips too, Guitar Center is really bringin' tha' heat!!
Terry Hesticles I love guitar center sessions..always sounds damn good..but not perfect some mistakes still there to let you know its not a lip synch gig...can't beat the sound of a raw snare
Always good to see that Brian still cracks out the ole Epiphone. Can't help but respect a man that stays true to his roots.
Damn that’s a good live version. Big fan of the band and only just saw this one.
No body told me steve aoki is the drummer of this band
orladaniel16 just laughed my head off, i thought the same thing!
i can't breath
lol
Silly, that's Yasunori Takada from Mono who's playing drums.
Aoki you old dog
It will always be a masterpiece. God bless Joy Division!!!
Cooo lll
I hear a strong Smashing Pumpkins influence but I love it.
Oh, you're such a new, mate.
Very Much
Cody C. No. Not smashing pumpkins.
Jon Scott my buddy and I hear a smashing pumpkins influence
The lead singer definitely has a Billy Corgan vibe and this song has a similar rhythm to 1979
First time I hear them... I've got goosebumps! Amazing song!!
Dude, pick up Carnavas & Swoon ASAP. You won't be disappointed.

And Neck of the Woods and Better Nature on Friday! Also, Seasick EP, Pikul, Let It Decay EP haha
I've been waiting for this moment...
Love this.. I wanted to play in a band like this my whole life ! no joke.
I remember hearing this for the first time in a record shop. Bought two of their albums there and then!
This song and album sounds like everything good about the pumpkins. I so loved this album.
Love his voice live incredible 2023 still rocks so hard one of my all time favorites
Damn good.
(And a bass playing jumping in heels - awesome!)
This version closet approximation of when I first saw them live in Mpls. Brian broke the strings on his guitar during Last Eye. Just epic.
Can't get enough of this song , so addictive ..
This band is really good live. I've seen them multiple times. It's just a chorus of good energy.
Silversun pickups are freakin' awesome!
Panic room is my other all time favorite of theirs.
*panic switch...sorry typo =)
Goose bumps and hair standing on end right now! I wish Silversun Pickups would tour Australia!
One of my favorites, gives me chills every time i hear it!!! Love his voice and the distortion, Damn good song!!!
such a unique voice
Love these guys! Just saw ‘em in Boston at House of Blues, safely pre-Covid 19.. sounded soooo good!! ❤️
I'm so jealous 😂
I love great alt rock songs that build to that angry crescendo! So tight.
Best version I've ever heard!!
Thank you silversun pickups!
My memories play your songs in the background!
always thought the "moon sun and the sky" verse was a quick recovory but brilliant, this song is brilliant
I come back here monthly. Still great.
I’m back. Hot damn…
Back in less than a month. It’s been tough.
I've loved this song since the Rock Band game came out.
I've been waiting
I've been waiting for this moment all my life
But it's not quite right
And this real
It's impossible if possible
At whose blind word
So clear but so unheard
I've been waiting
I've been waiting for this silence all night long
It's just a matter of time
To appear sad
With the same old decent lazy eye
Fixed to rest on you
Aim free and so untrue
Everyone's so intimately rearranged
Everyone's so focused clearly with such shine
Everyone's so intimately rearranged
Everyone's so focused clearly with such shine
Lost and loaded
Still the same old decent lazy eye
Straight through your gaze
That's why I said I relate
I said we relate
It's so fun to relate
It's the room, the sun, and the sky
The room, the sun, and the sky
I've been waiting
I've been waiting for this moment
This might be my favorite version of the song
I love the bands guitar center has been showcasing... Always amazing live.
Favorite version of Lazy Eye. Total control and pulled back in all the perfect places. And Nikki looks as laid back and comfortable that I have seen.
why is this the best thing i've ever heard
I didn't know that this song could get better, but boy was I wrong! DAMMMMN!
Love this band. Been listening to them since the first album. Brilliant.
I love all their albums.
So much raw energy.
I'm pretty cool with using this as an example of music should any supernatural entity be curious...this is seriously top level props to band and the production
Man one of the best music performances of all time :)
Lead guitarist is so talented, and also a great singer
My favorite guitar sessions. Props to my fellow Fila-Amer drummer
I absolutely love this guys voice. so unique
Great energy and very cool performance. I really enjoyed it :-)
To be able to play guitar like that & dance @ the same time. I could definitely hear some influence on some portions of the lead guitar, but that great player did not dance in time to it the way Brian does. Wow! Every song this band puts out is beautiful.
2021 and I’m still jamming this amazing video, he friggin shreds it.
holy shit i cant believe how amazing this sounds live.
This mix is GREAT!! I LOVE when a band sounds like the record also!
The best song Billy Corgan didn't write.
Hahahahah positive
Nah, not even a huge SP fan (only having heard some of siamese dreams and butterfly bullet wings) but I could easily tell the SP influences on silversun pups (damn even same initials), plus a little bit of "loveless" sprinkled in there with that outro fuzz guitar jam
the riffs and solos are not as good as Corgans.
Vocals are way less nasally than Corgan. I actually like Aubert's voice quite a bit. I can't stand listening to Corgan sing.
Michael who cares
Wooooow aghhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! That was so sooo soooo amazing!!! The ost of my life, thx Silversun Pickups!!!!!!!!
This song will always be awesome
He rips on the guitar! Reminds me of Marty McFly! Enchantment under the Sea lmao!
"...but you're kids are gonna love it!"
Its actually the fish under the sea dance
One of the few perfect songs in this world
Saw them at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle opening for Brendan Benson back in 2005. I was BLOWN AWAY.
I recall seeing this when I had directTv, I knew they were good. I just didn't recall they were this fucking good!
one of my all time favorite songs. I got to see Brian and Nikki perform at Easy Street Records in Seattle and they are just great people with amazing talent. I love that every live version of this song is different. keep it up!
realy, realy........LOVE THIS SONG
Awesome performance
song will never get old
That jamming at the high parts was awesome! Great performance all around.
One of my Favorite songs! Listening to this song makes me grab my guitar and sing this song! thank you SSP
This sound guy absolutely rocks! Levels are perfect
I've discovered Silversun Pickups with this song in Guitar Hero World tour, Then I dive into the album caming from, I have loved and been amazed every single second from this record. "with... SUCH SHINEEEE!!!!"
Sunshine!
It's one of those songs that have some magic!
This might be the best live version on RUclips, and I've seen a few...
He has a very nice unique voice, great performance! 😀👍
Well, that escalated quickly! Great song.
I don’t think anything will ever top their Letterman performance of this song.
She's wearing the Ruby Slippers!!!
Can't wait to see them on the 30th in LA
Its the moon, the sun and the sky💗
THE ROOM
Finally saw this live. I can sleep peacefully now 🤣
Awesome sounding live performance!
