And I'm even more surprised that the Chrysler fired up and continues to run, because the early 2000's through the 2015 era, Chrysler cars are known to have major issues once the battery goes dead and the dead battery/low voltage stays inside the car for a period of time.
The basic idea is there is a "supercapacitor" inside which shunts the ("weak") car battery internal resistance to produce enough of a "kick" to usually get started. The supercaps can weaken with age so it is not a bad idea to plug them in for a charge every few months in "starting problem season" still to see if they are still reaching 100% OK.
I used the Type S the other day when i mistakenly left my van on overnight to crack the windows open. Worked right away. Really impressed. I went to get the Noco but it is 3x the cost of the Type S Costco. I am wondering why the huge price difference and if it is justified. I just need it for emergencies if my passenger car battery dies. I do appreciate quality and will pay a premium if something is worth it but i don't know what the huge difference is between the NOCO and TYPE S

i have one of these jump starters and it didn't start my 2022 MDX
So the trick is to leave it plugged up a while? Mine only blinks red and green on our lawn mower. Very frustrating
