Thank you! I've had mine fully charged for over a year. I bought it when I used to do food delivery and never used it. Currently, I have a dead car battery, and thank goodness I have this "jump box." Your video has given me confidence to use it.
Make sure you bring the usb cable also. Sometimes if the battery is bad the jump starter might turn off and not turn on. You can use the usb to power itself up and try again.
I love these things. Used one on my car too and it started it like normal, not even a delay or anything. This should be something anyone should keep in his / her car just in case.
Thx so much guy! Just bought a cpl of these for emergencies and wanted to see someone use it just to make sure I was doing it right, lol. I feel much better now!!!
Thanks for the great video! I am literally waiting for the Type S jump starter to charge up so I can jumpstart my car. I’m glad I found that out before I was dead alongside the road!
Glad you like em! I was wondering if Napa carried them too. I was just in a Napa a few weeks ago but was on a mission for a Volvo part and forgot to look.
Just got around to trying mine out and no dice. Jump starter was fully charged, I connected it to my car and the display still said "Clamp cables to battery". It wouldn't detect that the connection was made. Very disappointing.
Dang. That sucks. Might be a faulty unit maybe? The clamps also need to touch clean metal, and sometimes the paint and /or oxidation on terminals can cause the clamps to not make an electrical connection. Might be one more thing to check if you haven’t already, before taking it back.
Can someone tell me with this Costco type-s jumper if you should recharge it after one use or just let it completely die then recharge it? somebody I believe told me a long time ago that it's best to let things like this completely for before you charging it up again. That it helps or does something in a good way. If I could remember what it was. Thank you
Very nice Mustang which will be a nice collectable item in the future... I use my Type S on my bass boat when I go fishing.. having the Type S has saved me from being stranded far from the boat ramp a few times... I no longer worry about a dead cranking battery...
'Glad everyone is happy. Mine is a POS. I'm pretty certain it's not user error. Seriously, cycling through the prompts with just one button is a nightmare. I got it to work once. Second time, it protected itself and refused to work.
My car is been dead for months now … I’ll try to type s today to see how it does … I already tried the big one on that battery but didn’t work … we’ll see later
Thanks for the video, I'm looking to give these as Christmas gifts to some family members. Any updates since you've had it a while? How long will it keep a charge if you're just storing it?
For all you Ford owners, you can be rid of the green corrosion on your battery post by cleaning them and then covering the terminals with Vaseline, (wait WHAT???? ) Cheap Vaseline? I have been doing this for over 40 years, when the engine warms up the Vaseline melts a little, it covers the post, clamp and the little nooks and cranny's. you will be surprised
Its been about 3 years. I really want to do an updated review with it, but she won’t let me because of all the salt that’s still on the roads in Maryland. We did a couple vids with it a while back though, when we first did the color.
Mine does the same thing goes in the battery protected won't let me jump nothing fully charged I'm frustrated with it can't take it back I've had it too long work fine a couple of times that was it
I tried to jump my car and the battery started beeping. The charge dropped from 100% to 36%. Will try again after charging but so far looks like a failure for me.
Too much load on the jumper pack maybe. I tried to use it to start my 7.3 liter diesel just to see if it would start something that big, and that error code came up. I don’t think it’s recommended for big displacement diesels or bigger high compression v8’s.
30 seconds is pretty fast for me to get my butt out of the car and go unplug it. Mine says the same thing too. But I have a lowly Subaru, not a mustang! HEH HEH HEH heh.....
I’ve actually been meaning to. It’s been cold, and I hate when I can’t feel my shutter finger. Lol. I want to do a full “how to light paint” vid, and was going to use it for a lot of that.
The damn thing doesn't work! I went to these videos to see if I'm missing a step and I'm not. All I ever get is a noise out of the thing....no charge EVER. IT SUCKS!!!

Well done.
Straight forward, no jive, no hype.
VERY helpful.
MUCH appreciated !!

AAA gave me a jump start using this device. I saw how light it was, and bought one, too take on my motorcycle trips.

Got this last night at a Costco in SoCal for $59.99!

Mine is all aluminum blue color I got from Costco, has the same features, light, charge other devices and the jump starter
What does it mean when the red and green light keeps blinkimg nonstop before i even clamp onto the car battery?
Just saw this work 10 minutes ago with my father 2000 Ford Explorer . Worked instantly .
Easy peasy. Just picked one up for me GT/CS that’s been sitting a while
Thank you! I just got one early for xmass from a good friend in Calf! Colorado winter can be rough!
Love these type S reviews! I carry a lot of type S stuff at my napa store. Gonna have to make sure I carry one of those around.
Glad you like em! I was wondering if Napa carried them too. I was just in a Napa a few weeks ago but was on a mission for a Volvo part and forgot to look.
it is a must have for the serious bass fisherman..
Love that paint on the Stang
Just got this as a Christmas gift it will be useful to have around with me I haven’t tried it yet
saw this at costco in pv mex, doing some research to see if any good 👍 great video, gonna go get one tomorrow
How do you get the accessories to fit in the case? Both the cables and the jumpers are way too fat

@@RobRabonPhotog I'll give them another shot tomorrow. I definitely got the clamps right, the terminals are clean. Anyhow cheers!
Good luck! Sorry to hear it’s not working. 😕
@@Bynming did it end up working? Having the same issue right now
@@Dianaa no, sadly ended up having to jump the old way.
This jump starter didn't start my dead battery for a 2022 MDX

How do you like the Type S so far? Any change in review?
My battery was dead for a month. Left in -20F and I was able to start my car on 3rd attempt !
I'm sold. Thanks for vid.
Thanks for watching!
How do I turn it of...... cómo apagó el aparato?
Mine couldn't start an old V6 Camry with a fully dead battery. Jumper fully charged all I hear is a click, needed more power.
Mine won’t work. It just keeps saying battery protected start over and no matter what I do it won’t work.
I was going to do one of the harbor freight models on my channel lol. Nice vid!
Thanks man!
These little jumpers are so convenient to have. I think I saw the harbor freight one the last time I was in there.
@@RobRabonPhotog i need to get one for my MGB. Could save my bacon one day
I think I’m keeping mine in the skyline because it has a super small battery too.
Got one. Thx.
Those are hundred buck on Amazon. Got it for free thru the vine invite program get it tommrow glad it works 🙏

Nice video, nice car!
Thanks!!!
You need a trickle charger if you're not going to drive the car for months
I know im late but i got one for 35$ at my local Ross
$70?! I picked up one at Costco last week for $39!
Nice!! It’s even better at that price!
$59.99 at Costco pickup today 6/12/21
@@GeeWhizard I think that's the regular price. I got lucky I found it for $40.
$59.99 today, Costco in Southern California.

How long has she had the mustang?
Its been about 3 years. I really want to do an updated review with it, but she won’t let me because of all the salt that’s still on the roads in Maryland. We did a couple vids with it a while back though, when we first did the color.
Of course I get cursed with one that doesn’t work and just always says battery protected

Yea. That sounds like something is messed up. I’d try to make a return or something maybe. 😕
Anyone know why I get the "batter protected unplug and start over"
Too much load on the jumper pack maybe. I tried to use it to start my 7.3 liter diesel just to see if it would start something that big, and that error code came up. I don’t think it’s recommended for big displacement diesels or bigger high compression v8’s.
I wish I know too it's frustrated as hell need to get a jump or something like that the battery protected I tried everything battery protected
So basically this was a passive-aggressive video to show off your vehicles!
30 seconds is pretty fast for me to get my butt out of the car and go unplug it. Mine says the same thing too. But I have a lowly Subaru, not a mustang! HEH HEH HEH heh.....

Sorry but it won’t jump a 5.7 ltr GMC. Nothing, not even a click on the starter. Junk.
Bad ass car.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This isn’t my car..... cough cough. Lol
It used to be. For like 2 weeks. Lol.
I maybe raced it once.....
That was sketchy but so much fun. We should do some vid with the new car sometime!
👍
Absolutely the best $60.00 I ever spent from Costco
37 .. en ross
This unit is hit and miss. Many reports of not working "battery protected" fault.
Definitely not a trustworthy unit.

Mustang is ford so it's already rust :)
72% out the box isn’t “a little bit charge” dufus, that’s 3/4 charge, enough to jump a car out the gate. SMH.
Not a fan of the ugly paint job.
