My friend I saw your video and I had the same issue some time ago. Is my belief that the jumper you used is for 6 or 4 cylinder engine. The crank power is limited for those engines They make for 8 cylinder as well. Much more crank power for bigger engines is needed, that's why your car failed with this jumper. I'm sure you know that. Probably you didn't check that information before buying it. Usually the manufacturer states in the box the capacity of the product. Probably you missed it. Hope you resolved your battery problem; since despite these jumping devices are around and can help in case of emergency, is also a lot better to have a healthy battery at all times. Thanks for sharing your experience Good luck and good day!
If it doesn't start on the first attempt you have to unhook, then hook it back up an turn it over again, not trying to start multiple times. Each time you try to start you need to unplug then hook back up. You'll notice each time you did that it got a little more juice each time. I will also note it's more meant for situations where you've just had a battery die, not one where it's been weeks or months or years since the battery had voltage. You'd kill another vehicles battery and or alternator trying to start a battery that depleted. Yea it'll start, but at what cost to the vehicle you're using to jump?
The purpose of the booster battery is to boosts the weak car battery to start the car. But if the car battery is totally dead, you can try to hook up the booster (now using it as a battery charger) and let it charge up the dead car battery for say 20 to 30 minutes, now try to start the car with the help from the partially charger car battery. if no good, fully recharge the booster hook it up and try again. It still no good, let the booster charge the car battery one more time then try to start again. Hope this procedure can help, just my 2 cants.
You didn't even check the light code on the adaptor I bet your van has a lot more wrong with it or the battery is unabke to hold a charge. You could have just gotten a bad unit too. Tons of variables
just bought it, charged it at standby... after about a mouth later my car battery not working and I use the starter, it just work perfectly.... mine is a v6 toyota..
Same situation as the gentleman. Tried starting the car 'several times.' No luck. The car would not start. Finally, I read some of the reviews and suggestions. In one suggestion... turn the car lights on so the device (I guess) can detect a battery. So I turned the lights on and tried starting the car. SUCCESS. The car started up immediately.
Yeah, I got a similar jump start battery and tried to jump start my co-worker's dead van battery, but it failed similarly to your's. Never used it before tonight. Glad I know better now. What a false sense of security!
I used the Type S the other day when i mistakenly left my van on overnight to crack the windows open. Worked right away. Really impressed. I went to get the Noco but it is 3x the cost of the Type S Costco. I am wondering why the huge price difference and if it is justified. I just need it for emergencies if my passenger car battery dies. I do appreciate quality and will pay a premium if something is worth it but i don't know what the huge difference is between the NOCO and TYPE S
Incorrect. I've had mine for two years. I used it on my dodge durango and my hummer. It works perfect if your battery is completely dead you rest it and it works. Learn how to properly use it before you make videos.
I didn’t the like this jumper… Mine wouldn’t even detect that any battery was hooked up. (I tried it with different cars). And yea, you need to reset the clamps every time you try another start. 🤷🏽♂️ It’s going back.
Iv had mine for 2 years it has saved me twice and saved my friend as well and I just used it tonight and it worked again that’s why I jumped online cause I was thinking man this works so well I want to see some reviews and what other people think of it.. I think your battery is just super dead man.. u probably just need a new one .. the tool is great
You didn’t put air in the tires lol. I saw nothing about the state of the battery. Was it completely dead? Mine worked great used it a dozen times in the first month I got mine.
Perhaps a bad alternador if it doesnt crank or click while turn key. atleast is either the alternator, fuse or started but if is a alternator it wont send enough voltage to started or ignition , if it clicks the started is good but alternator death if the engine crankcs either dried battery or damage battery by alternator. Basically if key clicks started is good if it doesnt is bad, if it clicks but it doesnt start bad alternator. If it clicks & cranks drain battery or damaged it leats u know before time it would go off crancking while starting vehicle closters loosing light power & radio turning off in occasions first stages still battery complete drains.
I bought 3 yesterday for all 3 of my vehicle but after watching your video I think I will return them all and get Hulkman 8.5 from another review I saw on RUclips. Thanks for sharing.
I bought one and tried it on my V8 Mercedes. 2 days in a row, it started right away. Keep in mind that my battery is less than a year old and the car hadn't been driven in a couple of months. But it started right away.
Jumpstarters work on the 12v battery, not the car. V8 or 4cyl.. doesn't matter. This seems to be a pretty drained battery. Even if he jumped off a running car's battery he'd have to let it charge a while, often several minutes before it gets enough juice to start. If someone keeps trying to start the car, voltage drops ea time. As soon as it didn't work he should have let charged jumper sit on his battery get a bit more power, possibly recharge and repeat. Then start from scratch again. U can't blame the product. The battery was getting an increasing charge. Also, situations similar to this could mean your battery, alternator, even contact to post is faulty. My bf uses these at his shop all day every day. They work.
I got one and regret it. I tried to jump 3 vehicles and all I get is "battery protected, unplud and restart" error. Ithas yet to justify the purchase. 🚮
the instructions do not tell you about multiple connect/disconnects after 1 minute when it doesn't start. You find out by calling support. The assistant on the line told me it would be too confusing to put all these details in the manual -- so when it happened to me. I found out about using it essentially as a boosted trickle-charger first before attempting the restart.
Battery looks about few months new & ur key clicks is the alternator, alternator job is to suck & re charged battery but on this occasion is a bad alternator so all it could do is suck it up test ur battery if is from 12v to 14V is good if is over passed or lower is damaged.
It will likely not work the first time if the battery is very low. I see you charged the device 100%. Which is good then you did not try very much after that. You need to “Hold” the key in place for a 5 seconds or so as you turn the car over. Hopefully it will work for you the next time you try it. Watch other like videos and see how they do it. Good Luck!
You got an error you didn't check on the charger. You got a crappy van with a V8 and you left the AC on at first. Who knows what is the hell you got going. Were the cables on the battery correctly, not trying to ground it on the body? Frankly, I trust the charger more than your video.
First, read the manual. RED to RED and then BLACK TO BLACK. If Type S doesn't start the car 1) disconnect / reconnect it (not just the clamps, but remove the clamp wire assembly from the unit in order to reset it) and put it back on the battery for 60 seconds . 2) disconnect / reconnect it and try to start the car repeat these steps up to 3 times, it should start the car after the 3rd time

Sometimes, when using a jumper like that, leave it on the dead battery for 5 mins. Let it charge the dead battery some before trying to start.
If it doesn't start on the first attempt you have to unhook, then hook it back up an turn it over again, not trying to start multiple times. Mine doesn’t work either lol
I did purchase one from Costco today, it had 71% power, so I decided to try it but did not work. I will charge it over night and give another try it.
I hope it will work for you. please let us know if you have the same problem. thanks
I bought one and have used it 6 times, it works

I did not work for me. I returned to Costco.
just bought it, charged it at standby... after about a mouth later my car battery not working and I use the starter, it just work perfectly.... mine is a v6 toyota..
do you mind to tell us what toyota V6 is, highlander or Tacoma?
Just used mine, worked flawless ✨️
Yea it didn’t work for me either. I can’t even get it to recognize that it’s connected.
Same situation as the gentleman. Tried starting the car 'several times.' No luck. The car would not start. Finally, I read some of the reviews and suggestions. I had the same problem. I checked all my terminals, they were clean with a good ground and nothing.
Me too
You should read up on how car batteries work
Thank you so much for sharing, have a beautiful weekend🌲

Thanks for sharing! As a single female in a rural area, woukd definitely need something more reliable.
You didn’t put air in the tires lol. I saw nothing about the state of the battery. Was it completely dead? Mine worked great used it a dozen times in the first month I got mine.
good for you
I tried mine on my 2016 cx5 it failed also.

Maybe only for small engine vehicle..
I bought 3 yesterday for all 3 of my vehicle but after watching your video I think I will return them all and get Hulkman 8.5 from another review I saw on RUclips. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting!! I saw this booster pack at Cosco the other day. Glad I didn't pick it up, thank you for the honest review.
U can't blame the product here

same here
How about CAT 1200 Peak AMP Digital Jump Starter $109
Costo sell the CAT starter $99. but I am broke :(
Awesome video upload, thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day my friend....
Honest review, but i can't say the same about good handful pro Costco paid commentstors 😒
costco type s jump starter review ..thanks...
Maybe you should have read instructions

thanks for watching ,
The product works awesome. read instructions.
Doesn't fit in the carry/storage case with the cables. At least not easily. I couldn't get mine to at all.
it's a tight fit, but all accessories plus an AC adapter fit in mine
Chia sẻ video hay lắm , chúc bạn ngày mới vui vẻ .
Bought one today tried using it on my civic would turn over for literally 2 seconds and then die again
Read the label. The Type S P10 can only jump a 6L engine. Think yours is just too big.
For that big car u need bigger device 🤣
Cảm ơn bạn đã chia sẻ hay.
Instruction says if you have more than a dead battery it won’t start . Read the instructions because you have more than a dead battery
my battery still good until today .
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
it not enough cranking Amp
It's doesn't work even with my 2021 toyota hybrid.
Like good video...
First, read the manual. RED to RED and then BLACK TO BLACK.
If Type S doesn't start the car
1) disconnect / reconnect it (not just the clamps, but remove the clamp wire assembly from the unit in order to reset it) and put it back on the battery for 60 seconds .
2) disconnect / reconnect it and try to start the car
repeat these steps up to 3 times, it should start the car after the 3rd time
You have to start the car within 45 seconds. According to manual. Otherwise it will shut down in order to protect from drawing power from the battery.
Đổi xe mới đi Hùng ơi, chúc ngày cuối tuần vui vẻ.
em chỉ review cuc charge thôi, chiếc này em lái thêm 10 năm nũa, hiiiiiiii
Thanks for sharing your Jumo starter review. Too bad it did not have enough cranking Amps.
I enjoyed viewing. Have a great day my friend😊👍
It’s a Chevy, it going to take more than that.
Hi , I bought same unit at Costco for $59.99 item 1509971- for my scooter.2022 Honda adv150 ,just in case the battery depletes it's cells.
Does alot of beeping.
Glad I didn't watch this video before buying mine
You've wasted so much time. When it didn't start the first time, you reset it and try it again. I've used it for over two years without your issues.
What size engine do you have? His is a V8, I'm thinking it might work on a V6.
The Type S is junk. I was given mine as a gift. It won't even start my riding lawn mower. Don't waste your money.
when i see the steering wheel shows a GM product that is the problem pure garbage
Read instructions
Your truck has thick crappy oil .
