Man Hits JACKPOT Galveston FISHING PIER

- Went on a little fishing trip to Galveston Fishing pier. Although we didn’t get any giants, we were able to be present and film a fish of a lifetime. And the man who fought what I consider a giant is Henry Trojillo.

Who else fast forward to see what he caught
Yup I’m guilty as charged. 🤣
Guilty as charged
Damn you caught me..😂
Jajajaja dats my word I did 😂🤣😂🤣as soon of I got to the video 🤣😂😂😂
No still watching
Soon as I saw the fish starting to walk him I knew it was a jack. They do put up a good fight; I've had them walk me back and forth the 'old' 61st pier back when they actually had a t-head in the late 70's-early 80's.
i won tournament on maui with 77.7 lbs
when I saw him adjust his drag it made me realize how long its been since I went fishing. bigger than any fish I've seen caught on a pier
Look up black bass caught off new port beach peir. 400 plus lbs.
Thanks for posting! Not everyone gets to fish a coast and it’s fun to see someone catch a fish like that.
My purpose of recording the fish I land is for others to also experience an amazing memory.
Your right not everyone get the opportunity to fish the coast or fish at all.
I’m happy you enjoyed this video
Nice fish. It is great to see a nice crowd and pier fishing etiquette followed by others in the group and others. Meaning: People in the close area pulled their lines in and gave Henry the space he needed to real in an obvious very large size fish and his group helped with the net to assist in successfully bringing it up to the pier. Nice video. Great catch from a pier.
Then .... you throw it back in. After the pictures and everything you freak out the rest of them and give the beautiful fish his life back.
Fishermans adrenaline dictates all the action. Yall better just get out the way. 😬
WOW! Great fish, great vibe on the pier with everybody making room for you, and great job taking the video too. New sub here, much respect from Northern California!
Virtually every time I hear the sound of the fishing line paying out with the big fish running, I am reminded of the first big fish I caught. 23 lb Chinook. (She was VERY tasty too.)
I love fishing over there, every time I go to Houston we usually end up taking a trip to Galveston.
8:27 "I'm gonna eat this with the whole family", priceless. Great catch and family time.
Not really good to eat, but makes great shark bait.
Gordon McElvany idk they taste pretty good
Nothing like a family fish fry ❤️
They are excellent eating. The ones that say they are a trash fish 🐟do not know how to clean them. You have to bleed them out like sharks and sea catfish. Cut the lateral line out and you have firm steaks much like shark 🦈. Excellent fare
@@chefjacktheprofessionaldri6284 Nah much better eating fish out there. Grouper/tripletail/reds/specs/flounder . Jack's are throwback unless you are desperate
“He got sleep apnoea!” I’m dead 😝😜
YES! A YELLOW JACK! 👏👏👏
Congratulations! Galveston Rocks! Love that you can drink on that main street for tourists💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿
Daaaaamn...!!!!!! ..way to go Carnal GREAT CATCH AWESOME....👍🏼..FROM : ( Lubbock Tx..)..👍🏼
Catching any of those red sand tunas at Buffalo Lake? 😂😂😂
Some of my best memories are pier fishing with the family. Keep it up!!
Best times fasho
Says the jack, “all I got to do is tire him out “. Says the fisherman “ all I got to do is tire him out “ 👍🤔
Beautiful jack!!! That’s awesome 👏!!!
That’s awesome.....cool to see such happy people!
Damn, that’s a wicked shirt bro 👌. Oh, and great catch too!!
Awesome !!! Even the one put back into water ...!!!!
What a lucky guy just the fight itself is a life time catch on the pier 🖖👍🏻😜
You got that right!
It’s pretty rare to land jacks on a pier, sometimes it just happens once a year!
Gotta he at the right place at the right time.
Can't believe how much line he had out. Wow! Good fight dude!
Caught my 1st Jack on that exact same pier, 30+ years ago LOL 26lbs took 28 minutes to get in. :)
Hearing that reel scream never gets old.
bend over and scream.
Drag was perfect well done my brother I can’t wait to go back to Grenada 🇬🇩 to catch those jacks
Nice catch nice sports manship.
Thanks 😊
Well done! Nice fish and you demonstrated sound technique by working the fish and wearing it down with patience. On several RUclips videos I have watched people doing what we call horsing the fish, by pulling it in as quickly as possible, which is a good way to break a pole, break the line, or lose the fish.
great video nice fish. they r alot of fun catching them.
One of the best fighting fish ❤️
One great Fish great catch . 👍👍
I'm from the Galveston area. I live in Knoxville now. I sure do miss the fishing there. Awesome catch bro!
I’m moved from Michigan and I’m not moving again I love the fishing here ❤️
Hope your landing giants in Knoxville tight lines 🤙
I used to fish on that Galveston pier (owned by Mr. Schultz short German guy) and caught me a 45 inch cobia. On a clear spring day or sunny Sept. Both locals and regulars catch redfish, black drum, speckled trout, kingfish, spanish mackerel, cobia, blacktip, bullsharks, and other unusual surprise like bonita or record holder fish. Tight lines!
I remember that guy Mr. Shultz back in the 90"s. :-)
That was on the 91st Street fishing pier. This is the 61st Street fishing pier.
What's the name of the fishing peer
Outstanding catch! 👍👍👍
Thank you 🙏🏼
that second run....awesome!!
Smoking drag 💯🔥
I fast forwarded, had to, the suspense was killing me !
What a beautiful catch ! That fish is simply a work of art. Built for speed, like all of the tuna breeds.
That fish, at that size is perfect !
Congratulations !!!!!
Jack is not a tuna
@@k.h.1587
It's in the tuna family, a cousin if you will .
Nice video very good fishing
That was a nice kanduli you released, dude. That would be great for sinigang sa miso.

Rodney Griner that is actually a fishing shirt made out of quick dry material, I have the same one in same color :)

Beautiful fish! Nice job!
😁🙏🏼🤙
awesome fishing!
Nice battle my man!
Great shark bait!!! Cut into 2-3 lb slabs and drone it out about 400 yards in the surf! Bull sharks and big hammerheads love it....
Funny, all the references to "shark bait". Jacks are excellent grilling fish. Great with an acidic salsa, such as a tomato salsa or pineapple. Who would toss one away for shark bait? They have limited commercial harvesting because they are a game fish. When I was a kid in L.A., surf fishermen would catch dozens of bonitos and just left them to rot on the rocks because they were "bait". Turns out, the stuff in their tuna fish sandwiches was bonito and albacore. I would grab some fresh bonito and grill it. Fantastic. Did the same all through Mexico. There is no catchable fish that is just "bait". Even giant Sunfish are eaten. Have any jacks you want to leave behind, call me.
I feel you Bro, so many people just don't have a clue of what actually taste good if prepared properly.
jacks are considered trash fish most don't eat them....red meat yuck
I have never heard of anybody eating one of these jacks - most people release them (and don't use them for shark bait)
GREAT CATCH👍🐟🇨🇱
Thank you my friend 🙏🏼💯🤙
Sweet GT! I've been to that pier but never went fishing, maybe I should have tried.
I bet your arms were burning nice fish especially from a pier! 😎💨
Not common to get jacks on the pier it was an awesome experience 😁
They put up a fight but reeling in a hundred pound yellowfin tuna whoops your butt
Gorgeous Jack. ❤️👍
Jackpot no doubt. I'm still waiting to catch a 30lb + jack on a light gear.
Sightings of plesiosaurs
Pictures of
Be careful because when I tried it on light tackle it's smoked my real. broke two eyes on my rod and cost me about $85 in repairs. Also put a horrible burn on my thumb. 😂😂😂
On light tackle would be amazing 😃 your arms will be cramping like crazy
That guy is king of the Pier.
Felt like a celebrity 😁
I’m hooked Got to see the fish
It’s always intense waiting to see the giant on the other side of the line 😁
Salt life ! Simply beautiful.

A beautiful fish!!!
Nice fight, love that pier.
Too big for me to keep though.
No one eats fish in my family except me so I only keep pan sized fish 👍
Now that was cool!
Amazing experience 😁
Nice catch!
I caught a 7 lb Jack on light tackle and he peeled the whole reel before I turned him . Years ago. An awesome fighting fish. Good catch.
"Peeled the reel"
Thats a new one on me,
Most eloquent and a sound to be experienced
The song of the Baitrunner
I still need to land one on light tackle 💯
That would be a difficult fight
@@VenusVlogsOfficial A little inshore, fish for salt water trout with a mud minnow or live shrimp and you've upped the chances. It was fun.
Perfect netting job.
Thanks 😁🙏🏼

See that tail that's what made this jack fight til he wore out. They roamed in school in our back yard off the Peace River into the gulf and back. Hooked afew and man they take off. Fun to fight and you need a strong back. I always cut mine lose to fight another day. Beautiful colors

I remember coming here and watching some dude catch a big ass sting ray lol
Rob we landed a 250LB+ sting ray it took 7 of us to lift. Crazy how big they get. I recently landed one in matagorda also
