This place had 8 feet of water in it during Hurricane Ike in 2008. Thankfully, they saved these old machines by moving them upstairs before the storm. Also, you can't beat this place's ice cream. It's specially made there using recipes from a local ice cream company that was around almost 100 years ago. The family that owns this shop bought the ice cream company when it went bankrupt and still makes ice cream with those recipes. The cinnamon ice cream malt is to die for. It's also like $8.
Unbelievable at how well these machines work for being so old, It just proves that if you take care of things they can and will last a lifetime, Very good demonstration, this guy knows his stuff, thanks for the demonstration it was very good.
Everything was built to last forever, intentionally, back then. Where as everything built today has the intention of lasting for only a few years, so they can sell parts.

I've made cocoa fudge for probably more years than you've been alive, and it always turned out grainy, it was like eating a sugar bar. No matter how carefully I did it, it was always the same way. I was watching one of these kinds of videos and the guy was adding corn syrup to the sugar mixture, and he said that the corn syrup bounded with the sugar and stopped if from crystalizing. I tried adding 1/2 cup to the 3 cups of sugar, and it was the smoothest fudge I'd ever made.
